Based on the feedback from the YouTube community and from content creators, as well as after analyzing the occupancy of players in sessions of specific ranks, we have decided to make changes to how the matchmaking works and will implement them in the near future (without additional announcements).

Additional settings will be added to ground RB in sessions of BR 9.3 and above that will make battles of top ranked vehicles more intense but will slightly increase the average waiting time of finding a battle. When a player selects a session and joins the queue, the matchmaking system takes many factors into account. Now the number of players in battles on large maps will on average become larger than before, although waiting times might somewhat increase. We’re also looking into an option to change matchmaking settings depending on the number of users in the game; this will possibly let us achieve a more comfortable waiting time for the battle to start, as well as improve matching quality, leading to more players joining battles.

Similar changes have already been made in air RB in March this year. We hope you will appreciate this improvement in ground RB as well, and after the implementation of these changes we will continue to monitor matchmaking closely and will make necessary adjustments in real time if necessary.

Patch 0.6 is finally live! This patch mainly includes updates to existing paid characters with special production characters and some visual improvements. The story patch will also be available shortly, just a little more patience and it will be worth the wait.


Now, first of all, let me talk about our main character. Here are the initial sketches and final versions of the male and female lead characters. All characters were specially crafted for Captain Bones by highly skilled 3D artists.


In addition, visual improvements have been made that change the overall atmosphere of the game. I have shared the before and after versions below.

Rule the Waves 3 - Severus Lupus
We are happy to announce the first update for Rule the Waves 3. We have fixed several bugs and typos, tweaked templates to improve AI ship designs, and added a button to pick a ships name from a historical list.

What’s New in Version 1.00.008

• Fixed some glitches in torpedo fire arc visualization in the design window.
• Made sure tech sharing agreements are terminated if the nations are at war.
• Fixed a tension reduction bug
• Fixed some typos.
• Made slight adjustments to 1890 engine weight calculations and starting ship speeds.
• Fixed a bug in battle generation when one side has too few ships and only DD present.

Sorry to keep you all waiting, here is the first update for Binary.!

The first update includes a new weapon, the Glitch Scythe, new arts, a training mode, and more!

Here's what the update adds


New Weapons and Actions updates.

  • Addition of several existing weapon arts
  • Backstab blink can be equipped directly on the command panel
  • Addition of blink that drops directly down
  • One new weapon and additional arts using it
  • Extend Trigger (new action)
  • Adding new levels

Addition of several existing weapon arts
This is the Glitch Scythe you have all been waiting for!
Glitch Scythe can be used when you get the ability "Glitch Scythe".



A display of the current main weapon will be added below the Health display.
To change weapons, you can use the D-Pad on the gamepad or the C, V keys on the keyboard/mouse.

When you change weapons, your normal and aerial attacks will change to attacks with that weapon!
When you activate an art, your weapon will automatically switch to the weapon of that art, so you do not need to change weapons to activate the arts!

In addition, Arts with Glitch Scythe will generate a "Glitch Storm" if the motion is fully exerted without canceling.



"Glitch Storm" can be used in a variety of combos to create unusual combos!


Extend Trigger (new action)



"Extend Trigger" has been added to some existing arts!
The "Extend Trigger" is a gimmick that allows you to generate an additional hit by pressing a well-timed button after activating an Art.

To activate the "Extend Trigger," you must first acquire the "Extend Trigger" exclusive ability for each Art.
Next, after activating an art, at the end of the art, press L2, LT on the gamepad or "Left Alt" on the keyboard/mouse at the right moment to activate it!

Success is indicated when a blue circle effect appears around the player character!

Although it is difficult to trigger the Extend Trigger, it can create a different kind of combo!

Adding new levels
In order to obtain "Glitch Scythe" and "Extend Trigger," you need to challenge a new level!
You can challenge a new level by selecting "NewGame+" from the title screen and then selecting "Structure2".
We have set the difficulty level a little higher, so please give it a try!


Etc updates.
A training mode has been added!
Training Mode will be accessible from the NewGame selection and with saved data.
The training mode may be a bit lacking as there are not many options yet, but it will be expanded in future updates! Stay tuned!
Use Training Mode to practice combos and try out lots of different combinations of arts!


Control and QoL improvements updates.

As for the QoL update, we have a few more things to try, and will add them in the next short update, which will be in the near future.
The next short update is scheduled to take about a week and will be primarily a QoL update.

Enemies

Alright, alright, enough with the introduction! Today, we would like to present a very important element of the game. The enemies!

We guarantee that there will be no shortage of them in Shadow of the Road, and we're striving to make them highly diverse. We’re not going to show you all of them today, but we will introduce you to four types that will shed some light on our vision. Here they are:

  • Ninja:

Ninjas are basic enemy units skilled in the art of stealth and close combat. Armed with a deadly katana, they can swiftly evade attacks and strike from a distance using shurikens. Their agility and quick strikes make them a formidable opponent.


  • Wolf:

Wolves are the basic wild creatures that accompany the bandits and fight alongside them. They are agile and can be relentless in their attacks. Be cautious of their biting jaws and swift movements when facing them!


  • Prowler:

Prowlers are ranged units armed with a bow, making them a threat from a distance. They have exceptional situational awareness and can react to events on the battlefield with their “Overwatch” ability. If you get too close, prowlers switch to wakizashis for close-quarters combat.


That’s all… For now!

These are just a few of the basic enemies. In the final game there will be many more, so you'll definitely need some good training before embarking on an adventure in this world that combines Japanese folklore and steampunk.
