Hello everyone!

We've dived deep into the work for the Balancing Update, the final one before 1.0. There are not many screenshots to show yet, but I can talk about the progress.


One of the main things we want to address in the next update is improving the world map. Our plan is to make a small map editor so the artists can hand-craft maps for you instead of spending a lot of programming time on a map generation algorithm that may give us subpar results.

This week we've started work on the map editor and got terrain editing as well as simple saving and loading to work. The biggest part that's left is adding and modifying environment objects like rocks and plants.

We're hoping to finish the first basic version of the map editor next week, but we'll see how it turns out!



The Balancing Update is going to change a lot of resource consumption and production numbers, but will also include some new production chains!

Andreas, one of our artists, has been hard at work creating some art for these production chains, but unfortunately he has become sick this week so we wish him a good recovery. I'll get back to you with screenshots once he's back.



And finally, we have finished another decoration buildings which I can show you some pictures of. Let us know how you like the earth monument:





Also, we thought we should give you a little more options for entertainment buildings than just the stadium. How do you like the cinema and theater concepts?

We will continue to experiment with the Wildcard Contract over the coming weekend (Friday 26th – Monday 29th May).

The details are as follows:

• Start time: Friday 26th May @ 07:00 UTC.
  
• Standard Contract: Random missions excluding the “Night” Time of Day. No extra bonus for a successful extraction.
  
• Wildcard Contract: Night missions with one Boss Target. The Boss Target will be random. +300 bonus Bounty per successful token extraction.
  
• Wildcard Contract will only have one queuing option, which will be set to trios only. This means solos, duos, and trios will all be in the same matchmaking pool.
  
• End time: Monday 29th May @ 07:00 UTC.

On Monday morning, we will revert to the single Standard Contract, and the “Night” Time of Day will be added back into the rotation.

It's time for your Squad to push through the Vultures to the rendezvous point. We just deployed the Federation's top elite agent, Ultra, to watch the six of you and ensure the mission succeeds.

She is a true warrior. The very definition of “bravery”. You'll see what I mean.

Take a look at her profile on the data pad, and don't get too distracted by the multitude of awards and decorations. It's the story behind them that makes her truly outstanding.



See, her platoon was pinned down by the savage Fell. The conditions were so relentless that Federation Headquarters considered the BRAVO TEAM lost. Ultra wouldn't accept that. She powered through, and alone with her fierce willpower, managed to rescue them all.

But it was not without consequences. This heroic action cost her an arm and an eye, later replaced by cybernetic-enhanced prosthetics.

The platoon vowed to follow her on any mission from then on. She became an inspiration to them. A symbol of loyalty, resilience, and courage. A true leader.



And now she's stronger than ever. Her cybernetic armor withstands most damage directed at her, and her shotgun can deal with several enemies at once. Check out her tactical abilities on the data pad. I'm sure you'll find them handy on the field.

This small patch includes the following changes:

• Increased inventory size from 20 to 30.
  
• Increased storage chest size from 10 to 40.
  
• Increased the size of the recycle bin from 10 to 15.
  
• Cooked food prices are now correct in the recycle bin.
  
• Re-enabled toasts indicating how much recycling was worth.

We’re making steady progress on Drops of Death, a murder mystery VN where the killer is randomly chosen at the start of the game–with a romantic twist where players can date the killer.

We’ve been working on the routes for the main cast, including Detective Singh, Fawn, Edwin, and Natasha. The new artwork for these characters is also a work in progress, including the main character Adrien, an MC with customizable pronouns.
