New ToT details:

Last update we talked about the NG+ changes to enemies and, especially, bosses.

Now, let's talk NG+ progression.

Since you likely already posses all the boss abilities at this point, they now grant a new reward for defeating them, which are called Sanguine Ichors. These items will let you upgrade about half of all traits beyond their standard cap.

Similarly, if you have already reached the maximum Breath capacity, Mini-bosses will now instead grant you Breathearts, which can be used to upgrade weapons beyond their maximum cap.
However, the process will require an increasing amount of Bloodmetal, which can now be found in greater quantities in places where once there were weapons and armor, so there is still purpose in going out of your way to collect those.

So, there are plenty of reasons to play the new NG+ at least once, especially if you enjoy the combat and are looking for a greater challenge, because those modified bosses are definitely going to give you that.

However, beyond the ever increasing stat difficulty of enemies, why would you want to play NG+ more than once?



Well, prepare for your toughest combat challenge yet, against an all new secret boss that can only be reached in NG+.

Plus, we added a little something for those powerful enough to defeat them over multiple runs.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master - livia

In our latest devlog, we are diving into the exciting world of creating cars for the Japanese Drift Master! The whole process will be explained by Przemek - an automotive enthusiast with a passion for old cars - who is in charge of scanning the cars and parts to be used in the game. Let's rev up the engines and embark on this amazing journey of creation!


Creation process
To get a good representation of the cars in the game, we rely on reverse engineering - aided by 3D scanning of real cars. First of all, we have to mat the chrome or find a base in the right condition. Once the digital data has been collected and pre-processed, we can create a detailed model. The final step is to visualize the car in the engine with the necessary animations. For example, we can lower the window to hear the sound of the engine.


Challenges
The biggest challenge in producing a car is the time it takes for a small team to create it - a 3D model and sounds are one thing - the car still needs to be driven to get it to behave properly. We base this on real suspension geometry, so cars drive differently after suspension tuning.


Knowledge and style
The people in our team are drift fans and actively participate in drifting events. We are in constant contact with professional drifters and the JDM scene - we listen to their comments because they are the most valuable. We try to keep most of the tuning content in the spirit of JDM, which is the most important thing for us, and some of the car modifications are very close to their track counterparts.

The Last of Us™ Part I - C.S.
A patch for The Last of Us Part I is now live. This hotfix addresses the following fixes:

  • General stability improvements
  • Fixed a crash on boot impacting all Intel Arc GPUs
  • Stability improvements for some AMD GPUs during extended playthrough

We at Naughty Dog and our partners at Iron Galaxy are closely watching player reports to support future improvements and patches. We are actively optimizing, working on game stability, and implementing additional fixes which will all be included in regularly released future updates.

Hot Fix:
  • Crash when changing from Nvidia DLSS to Built-In. This has been fixed and has been tested many times without any crash.

Change
  • the sliders in the Settings Menu have been changed so that in future you have to click on the button to change the value. This makes it easier for our users, and gives a more correct value that you choose.

New:
  • Color Blind Mode has been made in-game, and can therefore be changed inside the Settings. You can change between the following settings:
  • Normal Vision (Normal Vision is for non-colorblind, and therefore normal viewing of the game)
  • Deuteranope (Green weak/blind)
  • Protanope (Red weak/blind)
  • Tritanope (Blue weak/blind
  • Correct Deficiency can be selected if you want or need this.
  • You can change the strength of Color Blind Mode according to whether you need a lot or a little Color Blinds.
