Hey everyone!


As our team is deep at work on the next major patch for Fall of Avalon, we did not want to leave all of you empty handed, so we have a fresh update with some of the news from the development front!

Before that, we just wanted to take a moment to once again thank you all for taking this Early Access journey with us. Your support is amazing and having so many active players at this stage of the project feels very rewarding. Thank you!

After the EA release, our team had some very much deserved time off, but now we are back deep in development work and we are reporting back with some of the upgrades we have already managed to get done!

We will be doing updates like this every month to give you a unique look at the development process. Obviously, we look forward to any feedback (good or bad!) you might have and are always happy to hear any suggestions.

So, let’s see what we have in store for you today!

Visual upgrades!

There are quite a few visual upgrades happening all around! Our team has been able to enhance the world, enemy and special effects. Let's see some examples, shall we?

First - the buildings’ interior and, in particular, the TAVERN! We want to make sure that going inside buildings will be a good, thematic experience, so we are adding some much needed details here and there. And what place could be more important than the good, old tavern?





But the outside world is getting some extra love as well. We are working on enhancing the environment to be more… well, three dimensional. Below, you can see how we are changing the overall quality of the game’s environment and terrain.





Now, obviously we are also giving some extra love to enemies you encounter near Horns of the South. Today, we are really happy to show you the reworked drowners and undead - we simply felt that they could use a design overhaul. We hope you enjoy the changes!







Speaking of enemies - we were finally able to implement overall clothes and give them proper physics, so that means… CAPES! And obviously many other options for humanoid enemies and NPCs that will look way better and more natural ;) Check out the first iteration below!



Not only are we making current enemies prettier (and smarter! More about that later ;), but we are adding some new ones, too! Here, you can see the 3D sculpt for Moonlight Guardian - what is interesting is that he is the first enemy with a shield, so defeating him will require a bit more finesse :D More shield-wielders to come!






But we are also working on concepts for monsters for new zones and you can expect some really cool designs. Here is the first spoiler of things to come! ;)



We are also working heavily on improving the combat, as one of the biggest feedback we got from you is that you would like for it to have a better feel. Right now, it is still very much a work in progress, but we promise you that this is a strong focus point for the whole team, and we are aiming for a really great feel from every type of combat.

Below you can see the first improvement to bows (special arrows VFX), as well as the very first iteration of critical hits. Thanks to these, it will be much easier to tell when you performed a special attack and obviously, that will provide that special satisfaction of seeing its effect on the poor enemy ;)





Last but not least - a small spoiler of things to come! As promised, we will be adding quite a lot of new content and we are aiming that for every new chapter/zone, we will have a different environment, so that every zone will feel unique and have its own character.

THINGS HAPPENING IN THE SHADOWS

There is also A LOT of work happening in the background that is aimed at drastically improving the game. That includes:
  • Working on improving the UI
  • Fixing and ironing out bugs
  • Technical research on the open world aspect of the game and better optimization
  • Improving enemy AI
  • Improving balance, reworking items, skills etc.
  • Reworking the crafting mechanic

All of this is happening simultaneously and we hope that we will soon be able to show you the first effects, as well as invite you to test it on your own during the next major patch!

In general - as you can see, the work is moving forward quite nicely and we are super excited about developing Fall of Avalon further. We can’t wait to share with you all the improvements and new content we are working on.

World War 3 - 2000Valand
On the 25th of May 2023, starting from 13:00 CEST / 04:00 AM PDT, the server will not be available for 2 hours due to a planned server maintenance.

List of Update 2.2.8 changes:

  • Adding additional logging to debug the error 40302 and Achievement issues

Forza Horizon 5 - T10Yaachts
Explore the Horizon introduces 2 new-to-Forza cars sent to all players - the 2021 CUPRA Formentor VZ5 and 2022 CUPRA Tavascan Concept! Here are the details:

2021 CUPRA Formentor VZ5

This vehicle will be distributed at no cost to everyone who plays Forza Horizon 5 during the Explore the Horizon series. It can be redeemed by navigating to Pause > My Horizon > Message Center > Gifts from May 24 through June 22, 2023. In the following series, Upgrade Heroes, it will be available to purchase from the Autoshow for 70,000CR.

Dream fast and break all limits in the CUPRA Formentor VZ5. This powerful road-going car features the biggest engine ever seen in a CUPRA, a 2.5-liter TSI 5-cylinder that reaches 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 155mph (250km/h), and a unique firing order to minimize acceleration vibration. Its race-inspired sculpted bodywork is accentuated by matte black details, a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, and the distinctively CUPRA use of copper on the exhaust pipes and 20-inch alloy wheels. The rear of the car features an infinite light that illuminates brightly with a VZ5 emblem that beams onto the ground. Its suspension is also reduced for more precise control, especially when approaching corners at speed to ensure stability and max drivability.

2022 CUPRA Tavascan Concept

This vehicle will be distributed at no cost to everyone who plays Forza Horizon 5 during the Explore the Horizon series. In the following series, Upgrade Heroes, it will be available to purchase from the Autoshow for 50,000CR.

Meet the first all-electric SUV coupé from CUPRA. Set to arrive in the real-world in 2024, Forza Horizon 5 players can get their hands on the Tavascan early as its concept car will be made readily available to all Horizon Festival drivers. It’s the second fully-electric car from CUPRA and it’s both stylish and functional with Incredible aerodynamics and zero tailpipe emissions. Two motors housed in each axle produce a combined 250kW of power to all four wheels, while the 77kWh lithium-ion battery pack allows drivers to venture out onto the open road for up to 280 miles (450km) before a recharge. The Tavascan is also illuminated with bright coast-to-coast lights and logos, sleek exterior lines and a liquid metal paint that emphasizes its unique design details.

UPGRADE HIGHLIGHT: This vehicle features a Motor and Battery Swap which also changes the EV audio for the car, try it out!

HOW TO REDEEM YOUR FREE CUPRA EVS

Available to redeem from May 24 through June 22, 2023:
  1. Once in-game open the pause menu and navigate to the "My Horizon" tab.
  2. Open the Message Center.
  3. Select the Gifts tab and look for a new message.
  4. With the gift message highlighted press the "Download" button as indicated in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Hey folks! 💜

Excited to be making our first post on Steam! We dreamed of having our Steam page up for so long, glad it's finally here!

As two people who are not from the game industry but dreamed for the longest time of making games and telling stories together, having a Steam page just makes it all seem real, like it's actually happening, we are not just sitting at home and working on something ‘imaginary’ for hours. Haha!

So, we feel grateful and very happy to be here and to share updates with all of you!

We’d love to tell you a little bit about us, and our studio. imissmyfriends.studio is the two of us— Rhea and Prateek and Fishbowl is our first game. We started as beginners, with no prior experience in game development, only having watched as many talks, tutorials, documentaries on the subject as we could learning new skills and sharpening old ones.



In the middle of the pandemic, we decided to finally start our gamedev journey. Since April 2021 we’ve been navigating between measured discipline, sinking self doubt and boundless excitement which typically accompanies making a game.

The idea of Fishbowl is closely inspired by our mindset during the pandemic. Through this time, we were reflecting on our lives in isolation, what it meant to support our loved ones long distance, and to take care of ourselves.

You play as Alo, a twenty-one year old who just got her first job in a new city and is living by herself while grieving her grandma’s death. The choices you make each day in figuring out life will lead to a unique journey of self discovery.




Fishbowl is a warm and cozy story about living in isolation, nurturing friendships and understanding grief. We are making this game, just the two of us, with both our hearts combined, squeezed and poured into it to the brim.

We hope it resonates with all of you!

Along with backend improvements to the game, here are some of the bug fixes that are in this release

New Player Experience
  • Fixed an overlapping dialog in “Use Marching Orders on Ingrid.”
Battle Pass
  • Missions 16 and 17 & Missions 23 and 24: Fixed an issue where the values were swapped and required a player to complete 60 games and draw 3 cards; this is now reversed/fixed and should require the player to win 3 games and draw 60 cards
Cards
  • Loki's Veil - Extended Suppression to entities entering play after the occupying minion is activated. In simpler terms Fixed an issue where suppression was improperly being applied
  • Notarize Reality or Overtime Affliction cards now have a dialog when the card is brought over to the deck, whether it should be placed into the deck or cycled
Mythgard Hub
  • Updated outdated links for support and Monumental to better direct players to the correct area
General
  • Fixed a bug related to the Web client that had inconsistent logins
