Conqueror's Blade - Kaeden
Three Seasonal Units are coming to Conqueror’s Blade: Sengoku when the Japanese-inspired update arrives on June 1. In addition to the Seasonal soldiers, there are also other new Units to unlock and have fight by your side.

With blade in hand and bushido spirit in heart, learn more about your new warriors.

Seasonal Units
Ronin (3-Star)

These masterless martial arts masters excel at launching sudden and highly lethal attacks. They call themselves the Ronin and wander the land, protecting the people from tyranny and evil. While their garb may indicate simplicity, their skills are unmatched.

The Ronin’s Parry Trait gives them a slightly increased attack each time an enemy attack is successfully blocked. Order this Unit to Charge at foes, and inflict extra damage with a Iaido Strike.

Onna-musha (4-Star)

Trained arduously from a young age, the Onna-musha wield their blades with deadly precision. While it is not unusual for young women of the nobility to learn the use of weapons, the ongoing baronial war means they are often called on to put this knowledge to practical use.

The Onna-musha possess the Anti-Cavalry Trait, meaning their attacks have cavalry-blocking effects, and deal 26% more damage, as well as slowing them by 60% for a short period of time.

Order these fearsome females to Charge, and release multiple attacks with their Onslaught.

Orochi Samurai (5-Star)

Exceptionally deadly and lethal, the Orochi Samurai wade into battle with their trusty weapons. Their blood-red armour is sturdy but equally efficient at instilling fear in the enemy. They stand their ground with a smile against even the fiercest of charges with their fearsome yari spears.

This Unit can use Disrupt to delay enemies from attacking in melee or using Skill Orders, then follow up with Disrupting Sweep to hit multiple enemies. Double Strike doles out two quick attacks in the designated direction.

Non-Seasonal Units
Naginata Monks (3-Star)

While the teachings of the Naginata Monks shun all weapons, the naginata is a weapon that can be learned quickly and also functions as a staff. As desperate times call for desperate measures, the temple monks took to arms to defend their homes. These organised fighters can mount counterattacks without fear or hesitation.

This Unit can brace its weapons and charge forward, bringing the fight directly to its foes.

Mace Sergeants (3-Star)

The Mace Sergeants were originally established to stand against any would-be invader. They specialise in battering their way through doors, castle gates, and enemies. Yet, with time, their prowess continued to grow, as did their influence. Now, they take on any mission that puts their skills to the test.

Use Cover Commander to gain protection from this Unit in sticky situations, and unlock Meteor Strike via Veterancy Points to unleash multiple attacks, especially effective at smashing through shielded Units.

Matchlock Ashigaru (4-Star)

While they fight with firearms rather than follow the way of the sword, the Matchlock Ashigaru are an elite force to be reckoned with. Their great achievements cemented their name in the history books.

Order this Unit to Attack Area and make a strategic attack in a designated location to hone in on your foes. Through Veterancy Points, the Matchlock Ashigaru can fire more than one bullet per shot.
Unit Mastery
Mastery for the first batch of Units will become available at the start of the Season. Simply complete the related quests from the Warden to unlock this new feature.

First Units to Receive Mastery:

Palace Guards, Halberdier Sergeants, Prefecture Guards, Mace Sergeants, Pike Militia.

Between Two Worlds - Drooskati Games

Chapter 7 is nearly here!

Hello everyone! Yes, you read that correctly. It's almost time to continue the journey through Euchora! I'm tearing through the final stages of the update as quickly as I possibly can. As I write this, both computers are churning away through the renders and animations. Tomorrow will be a major coding day so that I can get the script out to my translators. Everything is coming together!

So, what can you expect?

Right now, I'm targeting Thursday, June 22nd*. That's less than 4 weeks from now! Chapter 7 is absolutely loaded with important decisions, branching paths, and in-depth narrative. That means they have to go through every possible choice and branch to make sure it not only works, but sticks to the story so far.

In addition, I know there was some complaint about the music usage in Chapter 6. I heard you, I listened. Chapter 7 will be significantly more diverse in music and sound effects. I intend to eventually go back and remaster the Chapter 6 music, but right now my focus is on delivering Chapter 7 to you.

I'm also working on an eventual chapter selection system, which will allow people to replay content on demand, but that's also something that is down the road. Due to the way that Between Two Worlds flows, and the implementation of the alignment system, it's a difficult project that will need to be tackled carefully to ensure it's done correctly. But it will happen!

One final note. I have recently contracted someone to provide Simplified Chinese translations. I am hoping to have the game fully translated shortly after the release of Chapter 7. So for those of you who have been requesting that, it's coming! The native Italian translation is also ongoing, and will continue being implemented as it's finished.

That's it for now! I need to get back to work and finish this thing up.

Thanks for your continued interest. This journey isn't over yet!

-Droosk

Edit: Corrected dates. Had to redo a bunch of animations due to incorrect settings :(

Edit edit: Final change to release date. Adding 5 days, to June 22nd. This is to ensure that the translators have sufficient time to finish their work and get it checked. This will also allow for more in depth beta testing.

Regarding the reported issue of game loading freezing, we are actively investigating it. For now, players can try setting the graphics settings to low (remember to click Apply) before starting the game. As a student development team, testing and fixing issues across various player hardware environments can be challenging, but we will provide updates as soon as we make progress on this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.

Thank you all for your continued support!
Idle Clans - Isam Games
Starting off with a honourable mention for Noscar for kindly offering us his time and giving our website some much needed love. It looks exponentially better than it did before. Thank you Noscar!

The server has been running very smoothly since the last update and I'm starting to feel the pressure ease up from all of that. Lots of bugs have been squashed and there are still some less urgent ones left to deal with, but now with the bigger fires put out I'm starting to be able to focus on new content and more meaningful updates for the game. It's building up to be a great summer for Idle Clans!

From here on out, I'm going to commit to pushing an update biweekly. Updates may occasionally pop up more often than that if something urgent needs taking care of, or it could take longer if there's larger content update coming up that doesn't make it into the 2 week sprint. I'll be sure to update the community in those cases though. The next update target as such is 5th of June.

On to the game updates!
Updates
  • A new upgrade has been added: Boss slayer. It costs a modest 25M gold and once unlocked, will allow you to repeatedly fight the same boss until your keys run out. The upgrade works for groups too and if any group member has it unlocked, it'll be active for the group leader as well.
  • A new popup has been added to group combat to better keep track of how the group is doing. It contains the collected loot + dealt & taken damage for each player in the group. It can be manually accessed from the "Loot and stats" view, but it will also show automatically when you leave a group or when the run comes to a natural end.
  • A new Plundering task, the Sports center, has been added. It has a level 60 requirement to start and drops the new Agility training tool, the Jumping rope
  • A new dish has been added: Beef stew! It has a level 80 requirement and heals 19 health upon consumption. You'll need 2 potatoes, 4 carrots and a piece of cooked quality meat to prepare it.
  • Game rules have been added to our website and are accessible in the game from the settings popup
Changes
  • Changes to how boosts from enchantments and potions are applied. Currently in the game, they provide a flat bonus to your stats instead of multiplying your actual stats by a given percentage. This caused a very noticable imbalance in the game's combat, especially from mid-game onwards. You would stop taking damage from high level monsters much sooner than made sense and bosses would become too easy to take on even solo. For example, if you had a 50% chance to block attacks from demons and wore 4 pieces of diamond jewelry with defence enchantments, your block chance would raise from 50% to 70% (4x5%). The 20% will now be applied to your base 50% block chance instead of adding on top of it, so in this scenario you would now have a 60% block chance.
  • As higher level players have already seen, the skilling speed cap (80%) is currently too easily obtainable and causes a greater influx of items throughout the game than what is good for the economy. In an effort to improve the balance here, housing upgrades and clan housing now give a flat experience boost to skills similarly to the ad boost rather than decreasing the time it takes to complete skilling tasks.
  • Yoink chance has been lowered from 25% to 15%. 25% was decided upon when you were still limited to having 1 key a a time. Now with the design of that changed, Yoink needed a little bit of fine tuning as well
  • Combat will now continue on log in after combat offline progress
  • Rewrote the login limiter system. You should no longer incorrectly be locked out from the game on any OS/platform
  • Idle Clans Bot will now include the player receiving loot and the loot itself in the "boss defeated" message
  • Bosses now drop ore instead of bars and raw food in place of cooked food
  • Max experience in a skill is now 500M
  • Experience in maxed skills will no longer show as "Maxed" but keep on showing the experience post-120
  • Potion of forgery will no longer work on Astronomical bars
  • Confirmation popup will now be shown when attempting to sell enchanted gear and tools
  • Gemstones, clubs and the Royal clan icon have had their graphics updated (ty Madao!)
  • Small city plundering task requirement was lowered from 55 to 50
  • Premium and boss hunter status are now shown at the bottom right of the profile where boosts used to be
  • Tasks now display how many of the relevant items you own
Fixes
  • Fixed Enchanting level requirements not being enforced correctly client side when dragging scrolls from inventory to equipment
  • Zeus had a higher chance of dropping nothing than intended, fixed
  • Fixed some mistakes in client side DPS calcs. Additionally, as combat uses a high amount of RNG, simulations are now ran in the client side calcs to provide more realistic calculations. As a result, you'll see slightly different hit chances and DPS each time you open the damage calcs popup.
  • Fixed an issue with ad boost and offline progress. The experience boost was correctly factored in on the server, but the server was sending the unmodified experience to the client causing you to see incorrect numbers on login
  • Fixed damage dealt during offline combat being shown incorrectly when you had an ad boost active during offline time
  • Fixed a visual experience desync that would occasionally occur when resuming an offline task upon logging in
  • Fixed whitelists not resetting when logging from one account to another when the second account didn't have any whitelisted players
  • Fixed a visual issue with ad boost calculations in Task stats popup
  • Accounts logged out during a tutorial task had some trouble processing offline progress tasks when they logged back in. Offline progress is now disabled for players that are in the middle of the tutorial.
  • Fixed loot tables never rolling the highest amount available (e.g. the 1-2 Exceptional chest drop from bosses would only ever drop 1 chest)
  • Rewrote automatic eating in combat, should no longer get the rare issue in group combat where swapping food slots throws an error and causes the team to disband
  • Fixed bosses being potentially accessible without enforcing the key requirement if you knew your way around the client and packet protocols. Thanks kloppie5 for finding the issue and reporting it
  • Removed the "Doing this will end group combat" confirmation request popup when the player tried to start another task while in group combat. That is no longer how it works.
  • Fixed enemies starting at no health instead of their actual max health in offline progress logic
  • Fixed experience and item animations occasionally stopping animating after relogs
  • Fixed an issue where if you tried to send an item to another player that you no longer owned you would get a never ending loading animation
  • Fixed an annoying issue where sending private messages would sometimes throw you into the incorrect chatbox channel
  • When a chat was removed from your chatbox, such as the combat team channel upon your team being disbanded, you would get sent to the default channel. You will now only be sent to the general channel if you were currently active in the channel that was deleted
  • Fixed an issue with group combat eating
  • Combat panels will now correct themselves to their original positions if they get messed up due to resolution changes
  • Hopefully fixed the issue with clan quests not always immediately resetting on day change
  • Slightly modified how the Costs part of tasks with resources are displayed so that tasks with a lot of resource costs don't have their font sizes scaled down
  • Boss runs will now end if a player leaves and the remaining member(s) are dead
  • Fixed deaths in group combat sometimes leaving the dying player at non-zero health and the RIP panel not always appearing
