Today we are happy to reveal a first look into the new areas of the Official Map Extension for Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop, which will be released in form of a free DLC for all owners of the main game together with the huge Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop Update on May 16, 2023.

The Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop - Official Map Extension gives players access to a huge new area in the northern part of the North America inspired map "Angel Shores". In addition to three brand new city districts including numerous new streets, points of interest and bus stops, you can also expect brand new campaign missions which will lead you through the mountainous nature park with its idyllic lakes, forests and villages. And not to forget: For the first time there will also be deer crossings, so that caution is always advised while driving through the impressive landscapes!




As usual, the answer to this kinda question is more simple than we’d like it to be – we wanted to create a vibrant area that will be very different from the usual urban vibe of Bus Simulator 21. The Map Extension is a sort of a natural breakaway, a resort, a retreat to mother nature. It’s a way for our players to go away from the buzzing city and have some piece of mind in a more “secluded” area. And we think that we nailed it!



It's no secret that almost all areas in Bus Simulator 21 are in one way or another designed after real life places. Map Extension isn’t an outlier here as well. Let’s take our new landmark – the Geysers – as an example. Some people will clearly see a resemblance with the Old Faithful – an iconic geyser located in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming – and they will be absolutely correct!



The overall vibe we got from the Pacific Northwest – namely Oregon and Washington. These were our main references when we modelled and created the DLC. While we did want the Map Extension to be a new experience with different vibes, we didn’t want it to be too separated from the main game as well, so it’s well connected to the existing locations. We can’t wait for you to take a nice scenic drive around it!

Although we did talk about the new drive event already, we want to mention the animals again. It’s one of the team’s most favourite things about the DLC and A LOT of work went into actually making them work as intended.

Of course, we had things like this one happening at first…



Some of you already noticed that we were adding a new region to the game and we had to take certain precautions. When we put colliders – blockers – so you don’t wander into the new area by chance, the thing that you can see above happened, because animals reacted to the collision points as well. Gladly this bug never made it to the production builds.

We can’t wait for everyone to see the new animal drive event in action – we bet you’ll love it. New area holds many sights to witness, but the living nature, its vibe and ambience is something else to behold…

Your enjoyment playing NosTale is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’ve decided to merge some English-language servers together – including the US server.

If you have any burning questions, we’ve done our best to answer them in the Merge FAQ below.

We've merged the following servers together:

• EN2 (US-Cylloan)
  
• EN 4 (INT-Valehir)
  
• EN 5 (INT-Asgobas)

→ EN 4 (INT-Valehir)

No changes have been made to any servers not mentioned.


We conducted extensive analysis of the servers and are merging them in such a way that we can ensure a balanced population and activity levels on all servers after the merge.

You can keep using the languages you want to use on the entire server. Support will only be available in english.

You have a total of four available character slots. If you have more characters than that, the four highest-ranking characters will be transferred to the target server. But! You won’t lose the remaining characters. They’ll just be deactivated. On the website you’ll be able to activate/deactivate your characters as you wish.

Please note that you only have one active slot for Martial Artists.

Here are the various situations which can arise, and how they will be resolved (the ‘original’ classes mentioned here refer to Swordsman, Archer, and Mage):

Situation 1: Three original classes and no Martial Artists
Three slots will be occupied by your original class characters, and the fourth slot remains empty until you create another character.

Situation 2: Four original class characters and no Martial Artists
All four slots will be occupied by your characters.

Situation 3: More than three original class characters and no Martial Artists
If you don’t have any Martial Artists, all four slots will be occupied by your highest-ranking characters. Your remaining characters will be deactivated but can be reactivated via the website.

Situation 4: More than four original class characters and at least one Martial Artist
Three slots will be occupied by your highest-ranking original class characters. The fourth will be occupied by your highest-ranking Martial Artist. Your remaining characters will be deactivated but can be reactivated via the website.

Situation 5: Less than three original class characters and at least one Martial Artist
The slots will be occupied by your original class characters, the remaining slots will remain empty until you create more original class characters. The fourth will be occupied by your highest-ranking Martial Artist. Your remaining Martial Artists will be deactivated but can be reactivated via the website.

Follow these simple steps to activate/deactivate a character:

• Open the Gameforge Client and select NosTale.
  
• Click on Settings to open your game account settings containing region and language settings and a list of all your game accounts.
  
• Ensure you have selected English [GB] as your game language and click on settings next to your game account name. This will take you to the relevant NosTale webpage where you can check your character list.
  
• If you have more than four characters and would like to play with one of your deactivated characters, select an active character and click on the character you’d like to play with. This will swap the two characters.
  
• Please note that you only have 1 active slot for Martial Artists.

You can change your active characters on the website at any time.

Active families will be transferred to the appropriate target server. Note that families whose members have been inactive for the last 180 days, or families with fewer than 4 members and a family level below 4 will be deleted.

Items from the family warehouse will be sent to the Family Head by parcel.

The first criterion for choosing who keeps the name is whichever character was online in the last 90 days. The others will be renamed.

If multiple characters were online in the last 90 days, then the character which is (at least) 10 levels higher than the others keeps the name.

Should there be a tie even after taking both of these criteria into account, then the older character (according to creation date) will keep their name.
If you want to rename an automatically renamed character, select the character after the merge and a window will pop up that allows you to change it.

If multiple families have the same name on the target server, the older family will keep the name. Newer families are automatically renamed as follows: ‘merge_number’. Please contact the Support team to change the family name manually.

As is standard, the merged servers limit the amount of Gold you can have to 1,000,000,000. If you are over this limit before the merge, you will be capped at this maximum once you are moved to the new server. If you lose Gold because of the merge, please contact the Support team.

Your items in the warehouse will be sent by parcel to your highest-level character.

Any unclaimed items in the NosMall will be sent by parcel to your highest-level active character.

All active offers in the NosBazaar will be cancelled before the merge and then sent to the respective characters by parcel.

As far as possible, friend lists and spouses will be merged on the target servers.

No, all player ranks on the target servers will be newly calculated and adjusted.

The blacklist will be deleted during the merge.

Yes, even deleted characters/accounts will be transferred. It will still be possible to restore your data if you want to after the merge.

No, your characters will be activated automatically.

Both your Gold and the items in your inventory will be transferred to the target server.

No, you can launch the game just the same as before.

No, you can log in as usual with your credentials. If you have more than 4 characters in total, the four highest-ranking characters will be transferred to the target server. But! You won’t lose the remaining characters. They’ll just be deactivated. On the website you’ll be able to activate/deactivate your characters as you wish.

Since the idea of Planet of Lana grew in my head back in 2017, all of us at Wishfully have been working really hard on realising our idea of a unique, captivating, and appealing cinematic puzzle adventure. Here we are today, and we can wholehartedly tell you that we are unbelievably happy and proud to reveal to you that Planet of Lana will release on May 23rd!


That's right, from today it's only 20 days until you can set out on your own with Lana and Mui to embark on a rescue mission to save Lana's sister. Hopefully, Planet of Lana will be an unforgetable adventure for you as well - because for us it is already!

Over the time, I played around with multiple camera setups and tested what works best for my game idea 🙂

In the end, I had to choose one (level design and time constraints). I'm very happy with what I ended up.

I made this small update to fix most of the reported issues.
I'm trying to improve the whole joystick situation but I'm not finding what exactly causes it so I'm going blindly and it may take a while before I find out what it is (or stumble upon the solution by sheer luck)
