Environment Art Updates
More updates to the environment art, and more to come! For this build, the Lumber Fyve environment has been further polished. The environment character sprite for Viia has also been further improved, now with some idle animations.
VFX Updates
VFXs, which have long been on the back burner, have been finally updated. Most of the updates will be seen in combat VFX. Further updates to come.
Big Update to Combat System - Preview
By far the biggest improvement to this build has been the combat system. The combat system has always been a part of the game that was simple but felt somewhat separated from the rest of the game.
With the latest update, that has changed. Older combat mechanics have been combined and streamlined, with newer mechanics tieing it much closer to the rest of the gameplay.
A further development post that will go in-depth about what these exact improvements are will be coming soon!
Other updates
Content Update - Continued work behind the scenes on Story Mode narrative
Objective System - Clearer instructions on the current objective. Better improvements are WIP in this area.
Character Art - Small polish on some character portraits, especially with the talking animation
Bug fixes - a lot as usual
We always need more testers for the game, sign up here if you'd like to be an Alpha/Beta tester for future builds!
As part of the 2 Million Download festivities, we're happy to announce a new kind of community fan art contest that's open to everyone!
This time we're not looking for drawn art, but... anything else! Handicraft, music, live performances, animation, sculptures - if you think it's art, it passes!
The arts will all be judged in 3 separate categories:
Outside of the Box (thinking)
Best Integration of Oranges
Inspirational
Entries won't need to be submitted to any particular category, and it will be up to the judges to pick which ones are the best fit for each.
Since this contest is meant for any art that would not fit our traditional fan art contests, we are not accepting digital illustrations or illustrations drawn on paper this time.
We hope to see some fun entries with this new contest format!
The art contest is now open until May 31, 23:59 PST.
Prizes!
10 entries will win in each category!
1st place: Plushie of your choice + in-game contest winner pin!
2nd-3rd place: Plushie of your choice!
4th-10th place: Fruitbat Factory game or DLC of choice (some restrictions apply)
Art can be submitted any number of times.
Important disclaimer: AI generated submissions are not accepted in any category. Such entries will be disqualified, and if a winning entry was found to be created using AI afterwards, the placement will be revoked.

While working on the Ship Events update, we found some pretty major crash fixes and bugs that we wanted to push to live. Since we were going to push some fixes to live, we figured we'd just ship a full on balance patch.
Noticeable adjustments this update include: -Fixing the crash that sometimes occurs when you have both Amberblight and Expiate on the same enemy -Buffing a bunch of Bosses :) -Reworking Bola
Again, this is likely our last large-scale balance update until the Ship Event update unless something major pops up. We'll be devoting most of our time towards new content updates from now on.
Fixes
Fixed issue where enemies with Expiate/Amberblight applied to them sometimes crashed the game when they used a friendly skill

Updated the First Mate's Provision sprite to make Reflex Serum's Price more readable
Adjusted Sprites offsets for Antiquarian/Occultist/Veiled Mystical skills so their sprites are spaced a little further away from enemies

Welcome to the festivities! We're happy to announce a big celebration for 100% Orange Juice hitting 2 million game + DLC downloads thanks to all of your support!
During the 1 million download celebration we added a free new unit, Mio, to the game, and... you guessed it!
A new unit, Mio (Festive) is now available to all owners of Mio! To unlock her, you need to have played 5 games as Mio, and then clear the new Extra Mission, "Secret Santa", on normal or higher difficulty, while playing as Mio.
Izawa Shiori (Nanachi in "Made in Abyss", Pochita in "Chainsaw Man", Kafuru in "Senran Kagura") reprises her role as the wonderful voice for Mio (Festive)!
Her hyper is illustrated by Senca, and special card by Yulay Devlet!
Please enjoy getting rowdy with her!
Voices Have Been Liberated!
As the second major announcement, all character voices are now available for free to all players!
You no longer need to own the DLC to enjoy the characters' banter, even if you only own the base game and nothing more! This is something we've wanted to do for a long time to make the experience better for everyone, and after a lot of thought it's finally been implemented!
All base game's character announcers are also available for everyone, to give you a wide selection of great announcers! DLC characters' announcer voices are only available for owners of the DLC (apart from free character rotation).
As a result, we are retiring the following 3 DLC from the Steam store:
Starter Character Voice Pack
Core Voice Pack 1
Core Voice Pack 2
While you can no longer buy these 3 DLC soon (currently pending Steam removal), they continue giving direct unlock of the characters whose voices they contain, which otherwise can be unlocked by playing normally. In addition, to compensate everyone who's bought these DLC over the years, each of the DLC gives their owner a consumable item (so up to 3 total for owners of all DLC), which can be exchanged for either 500 oranges or 10.000 stars each in the in-game Shop!
Please note that there's a limit of 999 Oranges and 99.999 Stars that can held at once, so as to not waste your tokens!
In addition, the Game of the Year Every Year Edition has been updated to contain Pudding Pack, Breaker Pack and Wanderer Pack instead of the 3 voice packs, keeping its nominal value the same.
More Default Color Options!
To further improve the experience for all new players, we've added new default plate color options!
In addition, the base character color packs have been removed from the store, and are instead now available by default on all characters!
Contests!
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we're announcing 2 separate contests!
1 - Unconventional Art Contest!
Introducing a different kind of art contest! This time we're not looking for drawn art, but... anything else! Handicraft, music, live performances, sculptures - if you think it's art, it passes!
The arts will all be judged in 3 separate categories:
Outside of the Box (thinking)
Best Integration of Oranges
Inspirational
The winner of each category receives the Contest Winner in-game pin. The 1st to 3rd place winners in each category receive a plushie of their choice, and 4th to 10th place will receive a Fruitbat Factory game or DLC of their choice!
The competition is live immediately, and until the end of May! You can find full details on the separate contest announcement.
Submissions can be e-mailed to support@fruitbatfactory.com with the header "100% Orange Juice 2M Art Contest Submission"!
2 - Community Card Pack Art Contest!
We will be gathering submissions for a new Community Card Pack! This contest will go live in June, after the first art competition has ended. Competitors will be given the names and effects of upcoming cards, and are invited to come up with art that would fit them. Then cards are given flavor texts based on the winning art, and added to the game.
We can't thank you enough for your continued support! This is only the beginning of the festivities for the upcoming year, as we also have some big anniversaries coming up, and we plan to run more fun contests for them!
Today was a very busy and productive day. I have just finished up fixing several rather severe bugs, so, finally I am releasing an update to the demo. Here it is!
Dereliction 2022 // Demo version 0.3.5
What’s in the update:
Honestly, I am not 100% on everything in the update. However everything is more playable, runs better, and quite a few things have had their art redone.
Ok, so I know I cannot write an update article like that. So I will try to cover everything I can.
The Vanth into now will display every time the game is quit from the main menu. This is to show the small cutscene at the beginning, since it keeps getting updated. This will not affect the tutorial being completed or not.
There are gun lockers. These are a new way to find different weapons in the levels. There is a sample gun locker in the overworld starting area, past the 3 starting weapons.
All weapons have fewer sockets per level, but the upgrades are more noticeable.
The levels spawn with different wall colours. They also have different door colours, corridors, etc. This is to add some variety between floors.
Missions and story rooms are marked clearer on the minimap. The clear room mission has all sporepods marked, as well as the console that is used after completion.
The administration keycard is more clear on the map. Also, power relays are marked, and using them is a lot clearer, with updated art and instructions.
More bugs, better frames. There are more bugs per swarm. Their health is still pretty low so the added bugs shouldn’t be too much of an issue. However, I did slow them down about 20% and they do a bit less damage. I have not experienced any issues with frame drops either. This is all mostly to do with some infinitely looping lists that were really affecting them. Big bug with the bugs. Should work now.
Found items. There is now a better find chance for weapons the player is currently carrying, but not using. So, weapons that have run out of ammo will be more likely to be spawned for the player.
Swarmer Bugs. I am not 100% on the name, but there are new types of bugs. They will fly around the nests, and spit at the player.
I fixed the issues with the bugs not dying if their head explodes. Weirdest sentence I wrote today.
Today is a good day to give Dereliction 2022 a look. Or, another look. I have been working hard on it since the last update (0.3.2) and that one was out public quite a while ago. However I found there were a lot of issues with it, it didn’t make a good impression.
I will be setting up different version branches for the most stable build, as well as more recent experimental builds.
This update should fix a lot of the issues from the last one, and add new and exciting issues for me to fix in the future. Hopefully it will be fun!
Thank you all for your support, feedback, and bug report. If you have questions, suggestions, or bug reports, join the Discord server, or start a new discussion in the steam community.
My Mad Scientist Roommate Turned Me Into Her Personal Robotic Battle Maiden?!? - Lached Up Games
Hey everyone!
5 New Heart Beat Events have been added to the game:
Ellie Rank 5
Jasmine Rank 5
Jasmine Rank 6
Jasmine Rank 7
Jasmine Rank 8
All up there's approximately 8,000 new words worth of content, and completing Jasmine Rank 8 rewards the player with a brand new piece of equipment.
We're currently at work on the more substantial Chapter 5 update, which will add new voice acting, entirely new skills and animations for every playable character as well as a lot of story content. This update is still about two months away from being finalised, but we're hard at work and will release the content as soon as it's ready.
If you run into any bugs or erros in the newest build please just let us know on the Steam discussion forums.
