Hey everyone! I wanted to express my appreciation to all of you who have been waiting for "How To Hack In?". It's been a long journey, with some unexpected hurdles along the way, but I'm grateful for your patience and support.
Despite the challenges, I'm excited to announce that the game has been advancing under stealth development.
In the upcoming weeks, I'll be revamping the Steam page with fresh information, visuals, and screenshots, as the existing content dates back to before Q1 2020 and no longer reflects the game's evolution.
Additionally, I will be sharing the plans for the game's release, including a high-level roadmap that outlines the future of "How To Hack In?". I truly believe that the mix of roleplay, action and simulation elements, as well as the immersive world and dynamic NPCs, will create an unique experience in the hacking games world.
Thanks again for all your support. I ask you just for a bit more patience.

Arcade Mode is here. You’ve all seen the button on the menu, and now you can play it!
This update is a bit different to our normal updates, it has sort of been like creating a brand new game. We’re really excited for you all to play it with your friends and we hope you enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it!
We’re also super excited to be releasing the first version of our mod tools. We can’t wait to see what people can create with them!
Arcade
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Arcade Lobby
Arcade is the main feature of this update. It has been in the works for a very long time. Arcade isn’t just one game mode, Arcade has 4 official modes for you to play: Trash Zone, Hide & Seek, Wobble Run and Sandbox. Each of these modes also has customizable settings for you to play around with!
Trash Zone
Trash Zone is an asymmetric party game where one player (the Trasher) will attempt to knock the other players (the Trash) into a trash compactor to knock them out. They will do this by throwing objects down into the ‘Trash Zone’, launching them at the other players. The Trash players have to dodge these objects until the timer runs out.
If the Trasher knocks all the players out, then they win. But if any of the Trash players survive until the end of the timer, then they win. Any players who get pushed into the trash compactor spawn back in and can help the Trasher take out the remaining players.
We hope this gamemode will be a new experience for Wobbly Life players and a load of fun to play with friends.
Hide and Seek is a mode where one player is the “Seeker”, and the rest of the players are the “Hiders”.
When the game starts the Hiders have a short time to go find somewhere to hide. The Seeker stays behind a locked door while they go and hide.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Left - A Seeker in the locked room. Right - A Hider hiding in a box
Once the hiding timer reaches zero the door unlocks and the Seeker is released to go find the Hiders.
To catch a Hider the Seeker needs to grab them, and if the Seeker catches all the Hiders before the timer runs out then the Seeker wins. But if any Hiders manage to evade the Seeker until the timer runs out then they win.
When a Hider is caught, they spectate until the end of the game.
Hide and Seek has 4 maps: Quarry, Office, Village and Jungle.
Wobble Run is a race through colorful obstacle courses. Players will need to jump, dodge, grab and wobble their way to victory. The first Wobbly over the finish line wins!
Wobble Run courses are made up of different obstacles each with their own challenges. Compete against your friends to see who can get the best time!
Wobble Run has 10 courses for you to compete in. Below are some screenshots of our favorites!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wobble Run courses
The courses vary in difficulty and each one will have unique challenges. You can also adjust timers, weather and enable/disable checkpoints in the settings.
Sandbox mode is the physics playground you always wanted. Spawn Objects & Vehicles using the Sandbox Menu and let your imagination run wild. Want to know what would happen if you blew up 50 TNT’s inside a bouncy castle? Well now you can find out!
Sandbox has 4 maps for you to play around with: Empty, Large Bedroom, City & Stadium. The Sandbox menu also features settings to alter player speed and jump strength, as well as a noclip mode.
Mods
The other side of the Arcade mode are Mods. This is the first beta version of our mods tools. These are only available to Steam users and use the Steam Workshop.
Mods allow you to create your own experiences using our mod tools via the Unity game engine - this could be your own gamemode or a custom world for you to mess around with the physics… it’s completely up to you!
To create a mod you use the Wobbly Life Mod SDK. You can find documentation for it here. We plan to add more functionality to the SDK and update the documentation in the future.
Mod demo versions of the Trash Zone and Quarry Hide and Seek maps can be found here for reference. The mod SDK allows modders to create their own sandbox maps too! Please note that creating your own custom game modes will require some coding experience.
We hope the modders out there will get stuck in and make amazing Wobbly Life content for all you PC players to enjoy!
Emotes
We’ve added loads of new emotes to the emote wheel. The wheel is now divided into 4 sections each with 4 to 6 emotes in it. We hope you all enjoy these new emotes, we’ve had great fun making them!
Updated Main Menu
The Main Menu has had a complete redesign and is now set on Granny’s street in the main game world. The redesign should make it easier to start and find game sessions in the two different game types; World and Arcade.
Performance Improvements
This update includes some massive improvements to physics and rendering performance. Almost all users should get a boost to FPS regardless of platform.
We’ve also added a “Chunk Distance (host only)” option in the settings for PC users. This controls the distance objects will load/unload. Note that this setting is server wide and only the hosts setting has any effect. Lowering this setting can give a big boost to performance at the cost of render distance and despawning objects.
Console Graphical Improvements
All console versions now have bloom on certain lights. This means those lights will now glow.
We’ve also added ambient occlusion to all console versions which improves shading and graphical depth for the whole game.
Merch
Don’t forget we’ve got merch!
We have more stuff coming to the store very soon so keep an eye out for that.
