Just wanted to share some exciting news from our time at the onsite MIX event during GDC 2023. We had the opportunity to showcase our game, "On the Peril of Parrots", and it was an amazing experience getting to share our game with fellow developers and gamers alike.
Not only did we get real-time feedback on our game, but we also had the chance to check out some other awesome projects on display at the event. It was great to see so many talented developers coming together and sharing their work.

Just a few changes to V0.13, fixing a few of the known bugs, and improving the map view UI.
Changes in detail:
Gameplay: -Elven arrogance drop from menace reduced (2.5% to 1%) -Elven arrogance increases with nearby human unrest
Other: -Window size can be adjusted using key commands (default to Z and X, rebindable) -Item finder view reworked. Now sorts by type, and can pan to each location in turn -"Prophecy" map view added, lets you see who is furthest along the path for each Holy Order's prophecy -"People" map view added, lets you find anyone if you know their name (or part of it)
Bugfixes: -Fixed description for Late Stage Infection Victim in Insect God -Moving when performing a "lay low" action no longer gives a warning -The Monarch can now be correctly summoned from an enshadowed elven capital -Untamed Dead and Ravenous Dead should no longer be able to have negative max HP -Vinerva now works with elves
Hello fellow Dwarf emperors! We'd like to share what's been going on for the past two weeks as it's been a long two weeks for us.
Sorry I haven't gotten back with an update last week. My job has been a bit crazy since they bought a new machine and I've been training on it and haven't been able to do what I want with the game; however, a lot has been done regardless!

Artist has finished some of our artwork and we've been updating the store page with the new logo!
Updated some of the screenshots to match what's currently IN the game as per last update with the UI changes and dwarf behavior updates.

Added more achievements! (The achievements will be on Steam soon)
Added perk requirement: area, floor and floor resets. What does this mean? It means you need to meet the required area number the dwarves have to mine to, along with unlocking the required floor and how many times that floor has been reset. Resetting is still being worked on and I want it to be worth doing because there won't be any more materials left to mine.
Updated almost all perks to make the grind sweet. As I mentioned last week I want to feel like progression is there so I feel it's balanced for now. We'll see after more testing though!

Fixed placeable perk not disappearing after purchase.
Fixed materials in Dwarven Book not showing when unlocking new things that requires that material.
Fixed placeables offset when placing them on a new floor.
Fixed not being able to use coal and other sources (other than Dirt, Stone, Mud) as a fuel source.

Demo - Update 9.9 ~ (Feb 8th) ~9:30pm The settings menu now boasts a toggle for VSYNC, offering you the choice between 60fps or the maximum fps of your computer monitor. The FPS display has also been added to the settings screen. Foraging in the wilds will now reward you with at least one Spongy Material from each mushroom you pull. The CHOOCHOO Steam Achievement has been fixed, ensuring that you'll receive proper recognition for your accomplishments. When you visit Harold's Fast Cash Bin, even the cheapest items will net you a minimum of one dollar. The "Find More Gold" card has also been improved, with a higher probability of yielding more gold, and a minimum payout of one dollar. The sprinkler now comes with a description to help you understand its use. The Interior Fireplace Blueprint has been removed from the Completionist list. We've fixed a pesky loading bug that was causing headaches for some players. A popup will now appear when you wake up after a weekend day, reminding you that Stanley doesn't work on weekends and your shipped items won't be sold. A similar popup will appear if you slept through Stanley's visit to the shipping bin.
