Hello to all Darkzan Arena challengers, I'm here to inform you of a big, giant, massive update.
dozens of new features, bug fixes, balances and more!

THE BANK
Starting at the beginning, we now have a Bank system to store your items, the vault has 400 empty spaces and can store anything, great for item collectors or compulsive hoarders.



REMATCH/h1]
You know that annoying challenger that always defeats you? now you can call him for a rematch and he will face you directly in the Arena, the fights will continue until you lose or give up, this is very useful to farm a specific set or simply for revenge.



THE STREET VENDOR
Now you can make a profit much easier by selling your old items to the street vendor! He also sells some pretty useful stuff so it's always good to check it out, we just don't know how he gets to and from the Nexus so easily.



CURSOR
Thinking about the immersion I decided to change the mouse cursor to something more subtle and integrated into the interface, now it has a unique elegance, I hope you like it.

STEAM CLOUD
Great news for steam users, I've added the cloud save system, now your files won't be lost in the vacuum of space and your save will be protected!

NEW CHALLENGERS
A new wave of challenges awaits you, a considerable number of new enemies have been added, kings, princesses, invaders from another world... they await you in the Darkzan Arena!

Release Time
Sisypush will finally be released to the public on the 24th of April, 2023!
The release time will be approximately 10:00 AM PDT (UTC-7), or 7 PM CEST.

Price & Discount
Sisypush is going to be priced at $2.99 USD or €2.99 EUR. There will be a launch discount of 10 %.

What happens after release?
At release you can expect a short, but fun Sokoban-inspired puzzle game with a 1-bit art style, playing as Sisyphus pushing rocks in the Greek underworld in over 60 levels.

Sisypush is a finished game and thus you should not expect any major content additions after its release.
Of course I will support and try to release patches of the game in case any bugs will be found by the community. My playtesters did a good job at finding bugs, but please be aware that there might be certain hardware configurations that reveal specific bugs, or we might also simply have overlooked some bugs. Besides any bug fixes, I am also considering some Quality-of-Life changes that I might implement.

  • Conquistador (Jesuits):

    • Now inflicts 1 area damage with ranged attacks.
    • Siege damage increased to 14 (from 9).
    • Cost changed to 80 food 80 coin (from 85 food 70 wood).
  • Dahomey Amazon: Cost reduced to 280c (from 300c).
  • Drummer (House of Hanover): No longer affects artillery.
  • Light Infantry: Corrected the damage multipliers against Shock Infantry for the following Light Infantry units:

    • Evzone (Houses of Phanar)
    • Lenape Warrior (Lenape)
    • Royal Arquebusier (House of Vasa)
    • Wakina Rifleman (Lakota)
  • Red Sea Wagon (Somalis): Can now build Lombards for the Italian civilization.
  • Resource Enclosure: Fixed missing damage multipliers against resource enclosures (Depots, Mountain Monasteries, Shrines) for some Villager units.
  • Royal Hunter (House of Oldenburg): The military upgrade of the Royal Huntsman can now be trained in batches.
  • Royal Dragoon (House of Bourbon):

    • Rate of fire improved to 2.5 (from 2.75) (to reduce the delay of the set-up animation).
    • Ranged damage increased to 18 (from 17.5).
    • LOS corrected to 20 (up from 18).
  • Issa Warrior (Somali): Reduced the ranged damage multiplier against Cavalry to 2.5x (from 3x) and against Shock Infantry to 1.9x (from 2.25x).
  • Shipments: Corrected the arrival time of several shipments, including all Battleship cards now arrive in 60 seconds (up from 40) as intended.
  • Sumatran Elephants (Indonesia Revolution): Now sends a War Elephant the first time the card has been sent, as expected.
  • Zapotec Lightning Warrior (Zapotecs): Corrected an issue resulting in units obtained from some cards to have more hitpoints than those available at Zapotec Settlements.

• A level difference input now allows the party leader to control the level of players joining the game.
• Heroic mode no longer exists. Instead the difficulty scales up based on current party size. This is a dramatic change, so please provide feedback about how the new difficulty feels.
• You now have a chance to gamble for unique and set items.
• The gamble screen has been re-worked so that the borders are plain and only the base name of the item is shown.
• The /who command is no longer cached, however its cooldown was increased.
• Input buttons for level difference and trade gold are now permanently visible instead of on hover only.

I got a Steam Deck a couple months ago, and I love it so far! I personally don’t like playing games on my computer, since I’m on my computer all day for work. The Steam Deck has been a perfect way to relax on my couch and it’s awesome to be able to hook it up to my tv.

We’re getting so close to getting a public demo out, and I’m very focused on polish / bug fixing, but I also recently added full controller support. After I got that working, I thought to myself: “Hmmmmm…lemme just try to see if I can get it to work on Steam Deck.” I spent a little time setting it up and guess what? It works!




I was honestly surprised at how easy it was to set up and get running. I did a couple playthroughs of the demo on the Steam Deck and made some adjustments to UI elements that were too small on the Deck.

It’s very exciting! I really can’t wait for the demo to come out. I’ve spent the past ~5 months playtesting, iterating, playtesting, iterating, etc and the demo is finally in a place that I’m very happy with (minus some bugs that still need to be fixed 😛). I can’t wait to share it with you all!

Shieldwall is out of Early Access now! It gets the final act of the campaign, Steam Achievements, new translations and some other improvements! It's v.1.0.0 now! Thank you for your support and feedback! I'm very happy to have such friendly and responsive community!
