Phew, it has been a while again, I know. And to be honest, I actually thought that the update would be out at this point already, which would have saved me from making another progress update. But, obviously that wasn't the case, so I think it's time to give you guys a little update...
First, I want to remind you guys that I post weekly progress updates ( that also include a render ) on Discord. I know that Discord might not be for everyone, especially when it's about an Adult Visual Novel, but this is the easiest and least spammy way to provide updates for everyone. I was thinking about posting these here on Steam as well, but that would mean you guys would get a notification each monday, and I'm not sure you want that. Thats why Discord is usually the easiest way if you want to stay up to date all the time.
Anyway, let's talk about the game and how the progress is going. Unfortunately, last week one of my two pcs decided to stop working and I'm currently waiting for a new one ( the old one will get repaired, I wanted to get a new one anyway, now I was forced to get it ). This slowed my rendering process down quite a lot, usually I can utilize two pcs to render out animations and, well, renders, but now that I'm forced to stay on one pc, I can't render and prepare the scenes at the same time anymore. I should get the new pc this week tho, so fingers crossed this will soon be over.
I still made very good progress on the last day of Chapter 3. Writing is almost done and I'm also about 50% done with the renders of that day. The important things that are missing for now are two set of animations ( one set is already completed ) and of course, the rest of the renders of the last day. After that it's only a little bit of coding ( that doesn't take long at all ) and playtesting it. I still don't have an exact release date and the above mentioned PC issues are pretty frustrating at the moment.
I guess I can tell you guys a bit more about how the last day will play out, since it will be so different compared to all days we had before in the game. The last family related event of the day will be a talk you have with Jessica and Sabrina - Where you will tell Jessica about your relationship with her. Jessica is known to react with her quick temper, but this one will be very different. She will react in a way that probably none of you guys expected - In a positive or negative way...Well, that is hard to say. Sabrina will also play a bigger role in this talk, since she is the older sister she kind of has a different relationship to Jessica, since they are both women. The aftermath of what this reveal will do is something you'll learn about at the end of the day...
And now that we are talking about the mentioned end of the day, I can give you guys a little tease regarding that. I won't be able to go into detail, but after this the event the MC won't have amnesia anymore. He will basically remember everything important again and you will get glimpses of these memories throughout the event. I can't say what this event will be about, but after it is over you are not going to return home to lay down and sleep. The update will end a different place, with troubling news reaching the MC...That is all I can say. You will see what I mean once you get to play the day.
I think that is all I can share for now. I'll end this post with the usual teaser posts, though, so you guys can get a short glimpse on what to expect on the last two days of the update!

While the temple-top may seem like an easy sniper’s nest for Survivors, multiple geyser-powered launchpads allow Infected to quickly bombard you from all directions.
The ancient Catzeks lived in a world secluded from humanity for centuries before vanishing, leaving only their cities and possessions as proof of their rich history. While archaeologists stumbled upon this location in the past, some unknown fate befell them before they could complete further studies. Now with your arrival, an ancient game of Virus begins anew.
