VR Zen Garden & ASMR Playground - Tazzoman
1.2 Interactions Update
And 50% off Sale!

This update introduces Interactables and Stations. A drawing station you can spawn anywhere to draw, write affirmations, things you are thankful for, or words to meditate on. You can also delete the pad and have the text floating in space. Other stations includes a table and a variety of rocks you can practice stacking, arrange in the sand garden, or anywhere you wish.

The item interactables include candles to light with a match or with the fire pit. Place these candles anywhere in the world, hold them, let them light each other or arrange them in patterns. Spawn the backpack in to carry some or duplicate any items as well.

There is no limits to how much you can spawn in except your computer. I’ve tested spawning in dozens of rocks and candles and pushed it to the limit. There is a delete button to clear them out if your system gets bogged down, but I wanted to give you as much freedom as possible.

Level System and Titles
Earn XP just by being in the Zen Garden and earn much more when listening to musics, beats, or meditations. Lighting candles also grants XP. Work your way from Beginner to Zen Master! Its a great way to see how far you can progress in your training of the mind.

Sand Garden
The sand garden got a retouch and looks much better now.

Roadmap 2023
This is a great time to let us know what you would like to be able to spawn, or an idea for an interactive system.

v1.21 will introduce more interactables and stations. Campfires and Lanterns you can place anywhere is coming, and other think we though about is a simple bowling system (thought it would be fun to bowl off the dock), archery in the forest.

V1.2.2-5 – Placeables - Flowers / Plants that can be placed down and saved so you can have a bit of a customization to the garden. May even go as far to allow you to remove the stock flowers and fully customize the garden if it doesn’t bog down the game.

V1.3 ASMR Playground Update
I am working on a system to spawn a speaker and have it float anywhere you want and you pick a custom ASMR sound loop. Since VR has 3D audio making sounds all around you can be very fun and relaxing. I was remembered by a time playing Zenith we put a bunch of containers that bubbled all around a person and the sound was amazing.

V1.4 Outer Worlds Update
I am also experimenting with other alternative worlds that can be possible in VR. Like a world just made of bubbles or colors and a world like the white room from the matrix. Removing all visual stimuli to relax the mind in a deep meditation or even trance like meditations.

V1.5 Maybe?
I have been training with Hemi-Sync and The Gateway Process (Little CIA project in the 80s) to induce deep states of relaxation to allow the mind to escape the body, a sort of out of body experience. Some believed to even allow for remote viewing and transcending time and space itself with the mind. I asked ChatGPT the outcome of the over decade study and it seems the scientific community is divided on whether the phenomena is “Real” or just in the mind. In any case it’s interesting to explore and would love to add something similar based on the process.
Arto - IssyBee
Welcome, artists!

We have lots of very exciting news!

First of all, we are proud to announce that Arto is now being published by Freedom Games. For those of you who may not know, a game publisher can take care of a lot of the business and marketing side of releasing a game. That includes managing our store pages, marketing and advertising the game, helping showcase the game at both digital and live events, PR, and a lot more. Really it lets us totally focus on working to make the game the best it can be, and provides us with the resources to do so.

You may also be concerned about horror stories of publishers ruining the vision of a game or forcing arbitrary restrictions on the dev team. For Freedom, that can’t be further from the reality we have experienced with them. Freedom has been a great partner to us, only enhancing and supporting our vision. We were very careful when considering whether to go with a publisher or not, and selected Freedom because they are committed to our vision of the game, and only want to see it reach its full potential as we see it. We maintain complete creative and development freedom, and Freedom (heh) wouldn’t have it any other way!

Our second piece of news is: Arto will be releasing on May 1st on Steam! 🥳

Thank you all for your support so far! We wouldn’t have made it this far without it. And if this is your first time finding us, welcome!

Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and join our Discord to join our amazing community for updates and sneak peeks! 😉

Best Regards,

Gamers!

If you think that after the game's release, you can just relax and take it easy, you're very wrong. It's an intense period, but every message from you gives me a better boost than coffee (although I think I drink too much of it...).

But the main reason why I’m writing this post is that I wanted to let you know that Flooded is part of the Earth Appreciation Festival 2023! The event will be live from today until next Monday, April 24th.

During this entire time, Flooded will be still available at a discount, and there will be a banner on the game card, leading to other awesome games from the Festival - make sure you check them out!

Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone who's played Flooded and remind you that it would be awesome if you left a review on Steam - especially if you're having a good time playing the game!

See ya,
Tymek

Tin Hearts - Steve
In the lead-up to the launch of Tin Hearts, we wanted to take a deep dive into the features and mechanics of this narrative puzzle adventure! Come and take a peak behind the curtain.

Embark on a trail of puzzles
Solve increasingly elaborate puzzles by controlling toy cannons to clear the way ahead, bouncing to new heights using trampoline drums, and manipulating balloon-inflating machines! With a variety of ways to solve the puzzles, there are always new and imaginative ways to help your soldiers reach their destination! Link objects in interesting ways as you build paths to the exit for your fearless tin soldiers to follow, and slowly reveal the secrets of their past.

Unravel the Story
Tin Hearts takes you through the life and journey of Albert J. Butterworth, a genius inventor and toy maker in Victorian times. Told through the subtle clues in the environment and immersive cutscenes, Tin Hearts weaves all of this into the fabric of the puzzle-filled world of the Butterworth family’s home.

Clues are everywhere, seek them out and you will be rewarded with a heartfelt tale!

Explore a magical world
Full of nostalgic warmth and charm, Tin Hearts makes you feel like a child in a toy store. Fully immersive, Tin Hearts dives you into a magical, alternate-timeline Victorian universe.

Manipulate time
Pause, fast-forward and rewind time using the Cuckoo Clock or Pocketwatch to change the outcomes of your actions or prevent danger from befalling the soldiers at all! This will help you in your goal to complete the increasingly intricate puzzles and guide the soldiers to safety.

Enjoy the memorable soundtrack
Award-winning composer, Matthew Chastney, whose credits include trailers for ‘Joker’, ‘Chernobyl’, and ‘Bridgerton’ has created a moving soundtrack for Tin Hearts, with music to warm (and sometimes break) your heart. Take your time working through the relaxing puzzles, while listening to the poignant soundtrack.

From the developers of Fable
Brought to you by former members of the exceptionally talented Lionhead Studios team, responsible for the critically acclaimed Fable series. Keep an eye out for the hidden chickens throughout Tin Hearts, a subtle hint that the legacy of Fable flows throughout this game.

Thank you for taking a look into the mechanics and features of Tin Hearts, but if you would like to go behind the scenes. Check out our making of Documentary series: The Heart of It.

Tin Hearts will be released on Nintendo Switch on April 20th, 2023 with Steam, PlayStation 4 & 5, and the Xbox family of consoles to release one month later on May 16th, 2023.
PCVR, Meta Quest 2 and PSVR2 are set to be released later this year.

Timberborn - Miami_Mechanistry
World Earth Day is upon us (April 22, remember)! And to celebrate, Earth Appreciation Festival is back to Steam, with our studio as its (co-)organizers!

Until April 24, 2023, check the festival’s page to see the selection of ~150 awesome games, both released and upcoming. The titles we have either help us appreciate nature’s beauty, or show the bleak fate the Blue Planet may meet if we do not change our ways.

Obviously, Timberborn is available with a 20% discount and, just like last year, we will donate 15% of the revenue during festival to the Viva! foundation, and its charity efforts such as the Fox Asylum in Korabiewice, Poland. Thanks to your generosity last year, we helped renovate the Asylum and built a dedicated hospital for our furry friends. Let’s see what we can do this year!

This year’s Earth Appreciation Festival is coorganized by Slug Disco (makers of Empires of the Undergrowth) and Stray Fawn (creators of The Wandering Village).

Speaking of The Wandering Village, we’ve just launched a bundle with this fantastic, colorful (and yet post-apocalyptic) city builder set on the back of a humongous beast. If you’re a Timberborn fan, we’re sure you’ll enjoy this one too, especially if the extra discount. Get it below!
