Great news everyone!
We have been listening to you, and we are proud to announce that we successfully refactored the camera system to avoid the motion sickness caused by the previous camera implementation (the headbobbing issue). Now, this doesn’t mean that the old camera mode is entirely gone, you can now activate it on the menu by choosing the “immersive mode” in the game options (deactivated by default). Also, if you prefer a third-person view, you can switch modes by pressing “U”.



Other Improvements

  • The object-dropping system was improved; we solved the bugs regarding the dropping of objects out of boundaries.
  • Sprint priority. Now sprinting overrides any other character state (aiming, camera, journal, etc.), this improves escape tactics.
  • Added 2K resolution.
  • Improvements and stability when connecting to an ongoing hunting session. (Camera offset looking at the floor).
  • Menu cello cue correction to avoid sound overlapping.
  • New ending sequence for the Llorona (the Witch), new music, more time to escape the cave system, more dust and rockfall.
  • Improvements to the difficulty balance depending on the number of players.
  • Size adjustment for the Undead ritual room.
  • Tutorial crash fix, cockroaches removed.

    Added a controller type setting :
    This new setting will allow you to pick from the following controller types
    • Xbox (Default)
    • Playstation
    • Nintendo Switch
Changes :
Controllers :
    Changed Binds (Xbox Controls used as Example)
    • Confirm : B -> A
    • Back : A -> B
    • Crouch : Right Shoulder Button -> Click in Right Stick
    This should help make playing on controller feel less clunky!
Player :
    Movement Speed :
    • Decreased base move speed : 15 -> 14
    • Increased bonus sprint speed : 11 -> 13
    Sprinting :
    • You no longer have to hold the sprint button to run, it now works like a toggle
    Crouching :
    • You no longer have to hold the crouch button to crouch, it now works like a toggle
    These last two changes will make sprinting and crouching much more usable on controller!

Bug Fixes :
  • Fixed an issue that displayed the controller prompts at the main menu even if the player isn't using controller
  • Fixed a bug when using a controller in the settings menu, it would default to the fullscreen button, which is disabled
  • Fixed missing and incorrect bindings shown in the controls menu
  • Fixed a bug when standing still with a controller would still cause the walking SFX to continuously play
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to forget if the player was using a controller or not between the main menu and the game
