Shades of Rayna Update 0.6.0.0 (07/04/2023)

New Season Event: Challenger
This season's focus is challenger tokens. You get these tokens by completing challenges in maps on Conquer mode. Challenges spawn in the map with 40% chance. Each map you get offered 3 tier challenges. Difficulty and rewards increase with each tier.

You need to complete "Welcome Challenger" pursue quest to have access these challenges in maps.

You will appear on the leaderboards when you get your first tokens.


New Class: Outlaw
Outlaw is the 5th class of the game. It's a ranged class with dual pistols. Just like other classes, it has 10 active and 5 passive skills. You can check these skills on Outlaw's store page and also purchase it from there. A trailer video is coming soon.

Just like other paid classes, you can play Outlaw for free until the end of first dragon fight.

New NPC: Challenger
Challenger is a new npc to the game. Unlike other npc's, Challenger accompanies you in the base. But first you need to rescue him and bring him to the base.

Pursue Quest: This is a new type of quest system. Pursue quests have steps you need to follow. When you complete a step, you are given another step to complete. After the last quest, you get the big reward. In this case, you bring Challenger to the base.

Challenges: Once Challenger comes to the base, you will have access to the challenges in maps. Challenge stone has 40% chance to appear in a conquer map. When you activate a challenge, it will appear on screen for you to follow. You can see it fail or success.
While you are doing challenges in maps, you also complete Challenger's own objectives about these challenges. You can get rewards for them.
There is also an upgrade part of challenges. You can unlock tier 2 and 3 challenges to appear, you can upgrade the gained token count and also you can upgrade challenge stone spawn chance.

Map Completion: This is a new endgame feature. A set of objectives to complete on the long haul. There are also Lore Scrolls and specific Collectibles for each map to acquire. Each map has 5 lore scrolls and 5 collectibles. Lore Scrolls give some stories about the map itself or the area around the map. Collectibles are from the game's OG players and some are about the map itself. These Lore Scrolls and Collectibles appear one per map with a very low chance in a conquer map.

Rewards: Challenger has it's own shop. Since The Challenger becomes available in the early-mid endgame, he will offer Tier 10 and Grand+ items and their crafting materials. He will also sell conquer nodes very soon.


Map Reworks
Sharpleaf Forest and Distorted Land are reworked with this patch.


Set Items Overhaul
All set bonuses except Bombs Away are changed. This was done to achieve that set items can only be used until diff 12. So without obsidian+ items, you won't be relying on to set items.


Classes
-Max movement speed value is reduced from 800 to 600 on grand boots.
-Defence stats are added to grand spellbook stat pool.
-Defence stats are added to grand belt base stat pool.
-Defence stats are added to grand belt skill stat pool.
-Health stats are added to grand knife base stat pool.
-Critic chance stats are added to grand knife base stat pool.
-Assassin's Barrage Wall spawns less knives.
-Assassin's Barrage skill's max barrage count is increased from 5 to 9.
-Ranger's Another One passive skill doesn't apply for Spread skill anymore.
-Warrior's Ancient Grounds damage is increased. it's now same with Earthbreaker.


Changes and Fixes
-Enemies now roam around and can't be damaged when you go in through a portal.
-Player character now have sounds for dodging, attacking, skill using, getting damaged and dying.
-You can now select "Continuous" mode while standing inside of the chest in the base to get loot from it until the chest count is 0. Or you can change the mode to "One" to get one chest at a time.
-Sound is greatly improved.
-Shade effect of player character and npc's are changed.
-Npc conversation screen visual is changed and has sounds now.
-Sets with miscalculated damage outputs are fixed.
-Death animation of all classes is fixed.
-Ambient sound is added for Fisherman's Nest.
-Ambient sound is added for Atlis Desert.
-General color changed for Atlis Desert, Dragon Den, Howling Glacier.
-Miscalculated "Attack Speed" relics are fixed.
-"Fire Rate" text on relics are changed to "Attack Speed".
-Weapon and Armor Stone icons are changed.
-Changes made to Dragon Den layout.
-Legendary Bounty portals now register portal completion of conquer objectives.


Enemies
-Centaurs now move around.
-There is new outline for enemies.
-Enemy health bar locations are adjusted for each enemy.
-Enemy area damage is increased.


New Relics
Melee Protection T5: Receive 10% less damage from melee attacks, receive 10% more damage from ranged attacks.
Ranged Protection T5: Receive 10% less damage from ranged attacks, receive 10% more damage from melee attacks.
Melee Protection T10: Receive 20% less damage from melee attacks, receive 20% more damage from ranged attacks.

Minor Patch 7th April
The plan this week was primarily to enable some of the quest content and elite mobs in the Ice Kingdom.

We'd quietly enabled full xp sharing when we launched Ice Kingdom to see how it changed player behaviour and for the most part, we were pleased with what was happening. The system however was easily exploited, and we had large amounts of experience being gained from positions of complete safety. Reverting from shared experience back to split experience was all we could do in the short term but we diverted resource this week into adding some layers of protection against common afk farming mechanisms to enable us to return to xp sharing.

As such this patch is mainly about bringing shared experience back online and we've pushed the content into next week.

We will be monitoring how much xp gain explodes again (some of our metrics looked very crazy last weekend!) and hopefully this will be enough to mitigate the issues we saw whilst also feeling a lot better for non-afk parties.

[Xp Changes]

Every member of parties now receive 100% of xp from creatures killed within a small area around the monster.
To be eligible for sharing a number of conditions must be met, which for the most part should happen fine when people are just playing together.
Inactivity now disables Xp Gain and the ability to pick up items. You can tell you're currently inactive by the Zzz icon over your class icon, and you can tell someone else I by the AFK on their name. Moving away from the area is the quickest way to return to an active state.
Xp award is now reduced to players in significantly higher level areas then their character.
Shrines of the Kami now require adventurer levels to be high enough to interact with dependent on the zone’s level.
The curve of reduced xp from mobs as the player’s adventurer level increases has been sharpened.


[Misc Changes]
Most monsters around the Ice Kingdom have had their base damage reduced.
Reduced the power level bonus Ghosts gain for each level they spawn with (they would generally be strong enough to ignore your armour completely)
Heavy armour now provides +2.5% resistance to all three physical damage types for each piece worn (this is applied after power level calculations)
Skeleton summons now have slightly improved health scaling, mana regeneration and resistances.

На Доминион вернутся знакомые многим, но переработанные и улучшенные карты. Они позволят вам по-новому погрузиться в игровой процесс сражений и в то же время испытать чувство легкой ностальгии!

Осколок Силы




Во время одной из экспедиций была обнаружена территория, судя по всему, отколовшийся от Святой Земли. Там есть место силы, представляете! И магия Света, за которую сражаются Лига и Империя, присутствует там в полной мере. Но будьте аккуратнее в этих привлекательных джунглях, они не так просты, как кажутся на первый взгляд.




Горнило



Загадочное место. Древняя джунская кузня, ныне захваченная культистами Тэпа. Что там происходит — неизвестно никому. Мы слышали о группе отчаянных путешественников, отважившихся проникнуть во чрево древнего вулкана, где и расположена кузня. Будьте предельно осторожны, когда отважитесь бросить вызов этой гремучей смеси.

Только представьте себе — полностью сохранившийся храм эпохи расцвета джунской империи. Не те жалкие руины, которые разбросаны повсюду, а полноценный храмовый комплекс. Барельефы, фрески, статуи, резные колонны...




Узилище


Этот остров, получивший имя Узилище, — тюрьма самого Владыки! На джесерокопиях видны измождённые узники, запертые внутри энергетических куполов, а все проходы перекрыты силовыми полями.





Язычник в аспекте поддержки

Наша команда стремится сделать классы интересными и актуальными для любых игровых активностей. Мы внимательно следим за вашими отзывами и реакциями на изменения, поэтому в этом году мы решили подарить классу Язычник дополнительное развитие, переработав его роль аспекте Поддержки.



Основной причиной для работы над Язычником стал тот факт, что, на наш взгляд, в текущем виде он работает не так, как хотелось бы. Он не является полноценным игроком в роли поддержки, но при этом может нанести небольшое количество урона и исцеления, которого в этом аспекте не хватает ни на роль бойца, ни на роль лекаря. Да и у игроков он не пользуется популярностью в роли поддержки.

Мы хотим возродить Язычника в роли полноценного игрока поддержки, чтобы дать больше вариативности при выборе классов на различных активностях.

Обновленный Язычник сможет составить конкуренцию Барду и Инженеру в поддержке: теперь он способен накладывать на группу эффекты боевой и защитной поддержки, включая Защиту, развеивать магические эффекты, наложенные на союзников или противников, и это далеко не полный список его новых возможностей!

Был полностью переработан геймплей Язычника в аспекте Поддержки. Изменено расположение вех, добавлены новые умения и вехи. За счет переработки вех и умений, изменения немного коснулись аспектов Нападения и Исцеления.

Также мы внесли изменения в работу питомца. Теперь он будет более стойко переносить получаемый урон, а у Язычника появятся умения, которые позволят отдавать команды питомцу. Нашей задачей было сделать присутствие питомца более значимым как для соло игрока, так и для команды игроков.

После появления новой версии Язычника на серверах, мы будем наблюдать за тем насколько часто он теперь используется в аспекте Поддержки и нравится ли игрокам.

Era of Combat: Boxing - ben
This update contains significant network updates including the larger part of the infrastructure needed to support crossplay with the standalone Quest2 platform. Note that the Quest2 standalone version is about 85% complete at this point. I have also completed the new/updated scheduling server and am working on the crossplay server at the same time as I work on the Quest2 version. Lots of new players coming into the game, not sure what is driving that influx, but it's exciting! Thank you all for your patience and support!

Limited Beta Version 0.1.000 Patch Notes

Welcome to the Hit and Boom Limited Beta Phase!

During the Alpha phase, we’ve created our initial map, test map and 6 different playable characters and 4 different factions. As you already know our factions, Valhalla Industries, Kayra Corporation, Amun Syndicate and Olympos Laboratories; they've converted ancient mythical powers and items to implement the BoomBots, our playable characters in the arena. This is the first time we see the power unleashed upon the arena.

Each of our characters had 3 different weapons that had 3 different skills to use in the game. Currently in the initial limited beta phase, we’ve increased our active skill count to 4 for each different weapon and builds. Now you’re able to play with 18 different weapons that are built on 6 different characters. We will be adding new characters and changes in time of course!

No time to waste! Let’s dive into the patch notes!


Character Updates

Scorp

Scorp - Stinger
(New Ultimate Ability)
Big F. Laser: Fires a devastating laser and deals 300 damage each 0.3 seconds through a line. It follows the aim as long as it is active and can thus be steered. The laser ignores all obstacles and players, and passes through them.

Scorp - Mortar
(New Ultimate Ability)
Minefield: Fires 7 energy mines into a specific area. Mines stay on the ground for 8 seconds. Enemies entering the mine explosion area take 800 damage and are slowed by 75% for 0.5 seconds.

Scorp - Chakram
(New Ultimate Ability)
Whirlwind: Divides the chakram into three parts and quickly starts to spin around it. Each piece deals 150 damage to enemies it hits, and knocks them back to the center.


Mantis

Mantis - Scythe
(New Ultimate Ability)
Dash the Ripper: Dashes forward rapidly and creates a shadow while cutting enemies with its scythes. Can be used up to 3 times. The ability lasts 6 seconds, after which the shadows move towards Scythe, damaging anyone along the way. It deals 800 damage and its shadows deal an additional 800 damage. Shadows can also be pulled before the ability duration expires.

Mantis - Mace
(New Ultimate Ability)
Death From Above: Jumps in the sky by using the gravity force of the mace. Stays airborne for 3 seconds and gains 20% movement speed for the duration. When it lands, it deals 900 area damage. Enemies caught in the epicenter take double damage.

Mantis - Shuriken
(New Ultimate Ability)
Switch: Allows switching between weapon modes.


Shark

Shark - Soundwave
(New Ultimate Ability)
Screams of Echo's: First, sends out a sound wave and inflicts silence on all enemies in the range for 1 second. Then creates a sound wave around it that lasts for 6 seconds. All enemies within this area take 400 damage per second and are slowed by 25%.

Shark - Jawz
(New Ultimate Ability)
Deep Dive: Dives into a different dimension for 3 seconds and moves its gate. When the gate detects an enemy, emerges from the gate and knocks the enemy into the air for 1.5 seconds and deals 1200 damage.

Shark - Chainsword
(New Ultimate Ability)
Colosseum: Creates a battle arena for 5 seconds. Everything that occurs inside the arena is forbidden to units outside of it, and vice versa. If Chainsword is the only boombot on its team in the arena, it gains 25% attack damage.


Turtle

Turtle - Shocker
(New Ultimate Ability)
Static Field: Sends an electrical current through the ground and inflicts stun for 1 seconds. The ability lasts for 3.5 seconds. Places electrical fences which on contact 50% slows for 2 seconds and deals 600 damage to enemies.

Turtle - Freezer
(New Ultimate Ability)
Blizzard: Hibernates itself and becomes invulnerable while creating a blizzard. Blizzard lasts for 3.5 seconds, slowing enemies by 50% for the duration. Freezer restores 800 health every second during this time.

Turtle - Blazer
(New Ultimate Ability)
Erlik's Rage: Releases its fury for 5 seconds. Gains 50% movement speed and 100% attack power, but takes 50% more damage from all sources. Also, it creates a flaming area around itself and deals 250 damage at every 0.5 seconds.


Panda

Panda - Spray
(New Ultimate Ability)
Purifying Mist: Releases smoke and removes all effects on everyone in the area. Also, restores 30% health points to the entire team in the area.

Panda - Glove
(New Ultimate Ability)
Mega Drones: Summons mega-drones for itself and nearby teammates for 6.5 seconds. Mega-drones restore 450 health points per second and grant 25% attack power when they are active.

Panda - Nunchaku
(New Ultimate Ability)
SMASH!: Smashes the ground 3 times. Each attack has a different effect. The first attack pulls everyone in a wide area towards the center. The second attack stuns everyone in a smaller area for 1 second. The last one deals 1000 damage to everyone in the small area.


Pig

Pig - Shotgun
(New Ultimate Ability)
Minigun: Combines weapons for 5 seconds and wields like a minigun. It follows the aim as long as it is active and can thus be steered. Deals 200 damage in short bursts to all enemies within the area of effect.

Pig - Slime
(New Ultimate Ability)
Slimepoison: Creates a mega bouncing slime that can go through enemies. Each hit inflicts 2.5 seconds of stackable poison that deals 100 damage per seconds on enemies. The slime explodes when it reaches the end of range or when the ability is used again. Deals 900 damage and creates a poisonous area for 8 seconds.

Pig - Cannon
(New Ultimate Ability)
Nightmare: Turns its weapon into a mortar for 6 seconds, and can shoot 4 times consecutively to the selected locations. Each shot deals 1000 damage.

  • On Spectate Mode, switching team mates might work unexpectedly.
  • Incorrect Line of Sight actors detected.
  • Settings menu UI issues.
  • No Fog of War on demonstration grounds.

Greetings, Adventurers!

The plague of rabbits has returned once again, only now, they are more perilous than ever! Watch out for explosions as you hunt for event-specific loot from April 12 to April 25. Thanks to player feedback from last year, each rare drop is now guaranteed after slaying a certain number of corrupted rabbits. They can drop Diamond Gypsum, Defiled Rabbit’s feet (increases luck), a Defiled Storage Chest of the Hare, and a new Corrupted Rabbit Mask.

EVENT REWARDS


Help cull the plague for daily and special event rewards. Rewards reset at 5 AM local time. For example, if you grab 6 Diamond Gypsum at 4:58 AM, you’ll be able to earn another at 5:01 AM.

Each corrupted rabbit can drop the following:

Diamond Gypsum - (66% Drop Chance)
  • Daily Limit: 6 per day
Defiled Rabbit’s Foot (80% Drop Chance)
  • Consumable Item: Increases Luck
  • Daily Limit: 5 per day
Corrupted Rabbit Mask (.50% Drop Chance)

The mysterious phenomenon behind these volatile long-eared rodents immediately caught the attention of the Syndicate:

“Would you kindly repeat that?” Cabalist Cleo’s cynical gaze peered over the edge of an ancient tome, a recent acquisition from the Great Pyramid of Ahket that, until this moment, held her full attention.

The initiate across from her anxiously straightened her collar, attempting to look tall in her oversized uniform. “A rabbit, mistress. It, uh, exploded...”

“Exploded?” Cleo slowly lowered the artifact and leaned forward in her chair.

She avoided the intensity of the mistress’s discerning gaze. “Y-Yes, like a bomb. Well, only somewhat… Not like that black powder, more like, ah, it erupted in Corruption, ma’am.”

The mistress was motionless, carefully observing the trembling girl who looked little more than a rabbit herself. “And was your person infected with any of this volatile Corruption?”

Discreetly brushing off some dried blood and bits of fur, the initiate spurted, “No, no, mistress. I-I don’t believe so.”

Cleo leaned back in contemplation, steepling her hands as she mused. “Rabbits infected with corruption? Certainly, beasts have become Corrupted, but oft in the forms of dangerous creatures, something of use to the Corrupted. But rabbits?” The cabalist tapped her lips. “So, Corruption can be harnessed for explosives. As ridiculous as it is, the implications are… intriguing.”

“I-I was thinking the same thing, mistress,” the initiate eagerly added, pleased that she aroused Cleo’s interest.

Cleo’s eyes shot up to the girl, having forgotten her presence. “Then it seems a venture of your interest, as well. Capture one of these Corrupted rabbits; in whole. Chunks and pieces make for a poor specimen.”

With her orders given, Cleo picked up the tome and resumed reading.

The apprentice frowned and shifted in her seat. “How, hm… H-How do you propose I accomplish that, mistress?”

“Consider this your final test, initiate,” she said without interest. “Prove yourself worthy and you shall be recognized among the ranks of the Syndicate as an adept.”

After a brief silence, Cleo did lift her eyes and what the initiate hoped would be encouragement was instead a bored warning; “And do try to not get Corrupted.”
