Today something extraordinary happened. It has been a few weeks since I arrived at the farm and I must… oink oink… admit that some of the local customs are pretty peculiar!

So we went today to the local merchant that I like so much. He always gives me a treat when nobody looks… it’s really tasty… oink! Anyway, so we are going around with our usual business but then I noticed that in the camping of the merchant, there are a lot of hens sitting around with their eggs.



I rushed towards them to say hello. And they all screamed, “cluck cluck”. One started - “I am such a chick, oh wow, you probably never saw such a real chick before…hihih”. Why did she laugh? I wondered… They were all staring at me very excitedly. Another one said, “Yeeees, I love to sit on my egg, this is suuuuche a normal behaviour!

I started to think that those chicks are very odd. But what can I know… I am a piggy, I
don’t know much about the chicken stuff.

Suddenly they all started to laugh very loud but. They didn’t sound like chicks at all! They all screamed “Prima Aprillis!” and took off their costumes. They were all ducks! I couldn’t believe my eyes! Why did ducks dress up as chicks?



I thought “Prima oink?!” … I mean… “Prima what?!”. On top of that, my friend rushed in and screamed “Happy Halloween!”. She was wearing a pumpkin on her head! “But… but… Halloween is in Autumn and we have April now” I mumbled.



Ohh I was certain I was losing my mind, maybe I shouldn’t have eaten that many berries this morning… Everybody was laughing. I rushed to the merchant to ask him what is going on. He explained that in the farm tradition, the 1st of April is April’s Fools Day. On that day everybody makes jokes and tries to make some funny pranks.



That was surprising! I mean, such an odd custom! But you know what, dear diary, I will make the greatest jokes on the farm next year! I will dress up as a lamb or say that I love carrots! Good that I have the whole year to think of something! Oink, oink!

Anyway, it’s getting late, I think I will take a nap now… I heard that we will have some cherries for dinner…

Hi! I'm currently developing a new update featuring a lot of improvements to the user experience. The current version (1.0.1) bugs, inconsistencies and other stuff that make the playing experience much worse. I'll try to fix all of those in the upcoming update.


Features:

Warning! These are a subject to change.

1. New content!

Some new content, like the new beginning of the game, has been added! While it doesn't include chapter 2, there are some new secret areas for you to find in this update!

2. 16:9 support

This is definitely the biggest change you'll see. I've ported the game from 4:3 to 16:9 to make it better on modern monitors. The game is only going to support 16:9 from now on. I've asked about this change on Reddit and the majority voted for 16:9.

3. Improved UI

The UI is now consistent everywhere. The menus, title screen, battle system, text box and everything has been updated to follow the new UI guidelines! A lot of animations have been added too.

4. Improved battle system

Some updates have been made to the battle system as well, featuring a combo system, new animations, an improved dodge system. These changes will make the fighting experience much more fun!

5. Other smaller (but not unimportant!) stuff

The graphics got a noticeable upgrade. They are much sharper than before! The soundtrack got a few updates, with one new, one remade and one improved song. On top of that, some optimizations have been made under the hood that will provide a stabler, less buggy experience. There's been stuff done for easier and faster developing too, so I can now make more in the same time as before!

That's all for the features! There might be even more stuff on release.

Probably in a week. Might be in just a few days. It can take two or three weeks if I become lazy.


Q&A

Will the saves be compatible with the new version?
Unfortunately no. The game has got so many changes that some things will be broken beyond playable in the upcoming update. You can keep playing with your old saves on the old version, or you can start from the beginning.

I don't like the new stuff. Can I revert to the old version?
Sure! You can download the old version either by entering the beta 1.0.1 from Steam or downloading the old version from Itch or Gamejolt to keep using this version.

Will chapter 2 be released with this?
Nope. Chapter 2 will be released with rest of the chapters in the future. The release date is still TBD and will take a few years at least.

Will Ralph be featured in this update?

Character performance adjustments
To improve the game's visual presentation, there have been major adjustments to the character performance in the main storyline.

Added shadows to (almost) all objects
Now (almost) all objects have shadows, making the game's visuals more realistic.

Added grid frames
To facilitate players' exploration of the game map, grid frames have been added.

Fixed issues
  • Fixed an issue where Ningmu couldn't be displayed.
  • Fixed a red error message that appeared when Jueming spoke.
  • Fixed an issue where the fifth skill tree couldn't be opened.
  • Fixed an issue where the subsequent nodes sometimes failed to update when unlocking a skill.
  • Deleted unused comments in the game, reducing the log file size.

Steam encountered an error during our last patch, instead of accepting the steam build of the game it decided to use the Oculus PC build for some reason.

New steam build was pushed last night, small 30 MB update.
