Miuratale - Studio Nemi
Hello prospective mermaids!

Carrionwave's second game is a serious step up from our last, a full RPG set in a fantastical ocean world ruled by mermaids and sea creatures. With the help of our freelance designer, Nemi, we have a strong art identity, alongside our world and lore.

We have roughly a year of work left, a lot of 3D assets to make, systems to polish, and a story to tell... It's going to be !fun!.


It's my goal to post developmental updates over on indieDB to keep a record of our progress, and focus on specific features and elements of the game.

  • We made some changes to how electrical conductivity works (ie, what determines which objects electrical arcs leap to).
    • Liquid pools now have their conductivity correctly calculated based on their component mixtures. Electrical arcs now correctly leap across conductive pools of liquid.
    • Made some tweaks to creature conductivity calculations.
    • A creature who wears footwear that's less conductive than they are now gets some additional anti-conductivity protection.
    • Arcs no longer leap to flying creatures unless they are the initial target of a discharge.
    • Arcs can now travel diagonally.
    • Improved the messaging around arc leaping, especially for when a creature avoids an arc due to anti-conductive footwear.
  • Added some alternate tiles for bookshelves with items in them.
  • Dynamic quest rewards are now identified.
  • Data disks offered as dynamic quest rewards now display the item blueprint they teach.
  • You now need to have the appropriate Tinker skill level to build an item, rather than have that skill level only when learning the blueprint.
  • Village tinkers can no longer recharge broken or rusted energy cells.
  • Legendary pilgrims no longer abandon their lairs.
  • Conservators shoot their lightlocks again.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Sunder Mind to be cancelled as if your concentration slipped when you had high quickness and your target died prematurely.
  • Fixed a bug that caused traipsing mortars to fail to equip their natural melee weapons.
  • Fixed a bug that caused villagers in villages with pets to talk about nothing except those pets.
  • Fixed a bug that caused stingers to repeatedly re-equip themselves when mutations changed.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when a creature fell in love with itself after stepping in dilute warm static.
  • Fixed a bug that caused creatures not to receive random cybernetics.
  • [modding] Common rendering colors are now accessible in C# via The.Color API. For example, The.Color.Red returns the Color value of 'R' previously accessed from the ColorUtility.ColorMap dictionary.

Hey everyone, I have some exciting news to share! After extensive consideration, I've decided to rename RPG in a Box to FPS in a Box! As part of this transition, I'll be gradually phasing out any RPG-related mechanics and will begin centering the engine around shooters (with a focus on first-person). This Friday there was no work i was working on the house and ai a bit 1 girl killer had to be replaced she had the long hair from the last news there's still going to be 4 killers the 4th u couldn't see in the picture that good but it's the killer from level 2. So the new killer in this picture can only see straight from that bed to the wall is where she patrols ill Maby put a box in the corner and give her a delay time so u can get the box she can't look left and right only straight there's going to be three other killer doing the same thing that she is doing in the picture but different location and only 1 killer can go around the whole house this is the upstairs of the house i got to fix that kitchen behind that bed in the picture I'm still working on level 2 haunted house. But tomorrow I have to go to a birthday party i don't want to go but I have to then Sunday I can work on the game a bit but on Monday i got to go back to work I am pretty busy but usually Saturday and Sunday I don't work and sometimes Friday. i had to build this house from scratch i put all the walls i made the the upstairs and the floor the porch i just had to put a bunch of assets together. i actually made this house myself have a good day. I'm Still working on level 2 haunted house it's not in the game yet oh yeah and I have to put the roof for the house I got to put the assets together for that. Also i got to make a sound when u collect the boxes.

Hey everyone!

It's been a little bit since I updated all of you on what's next! Many of you know that we've been working really hard on updating the crafting, missions, and economy. I wanted to give you a little update on what some of that looks like!

Crafting
I mentioned awhile back we were adding tokens and essences. Tokens are items you will get from chests that can be exchanged for a card of the same rarity. For example if you receive a common Frontlines token you will be able to go into your collection and select a common card (that you don't already own 4 of) and trade the token for that card.

Essences are changing a little bit from what I originally mentioned. Now when you use an essence you will be given a random selection of cards to choose from based on the rarity of the essence. For example if you use a common essence you will be given a random selection of 3 common cards to choose from.

But what happens when you have a full playset and no longer need tokens and/or essences from that set? That brings me to my new big update!

Buildings
Yep! We are adding some unlockable buildings to the Hub. I'm not going to spoil what all these are yet, but you'll be able to unlock building plots and place buildings on those plots. Plots will be fairly easy to unlock, the idea is that you'll be able to unlock them as you progress through the early game. We are still working on how exactly buildings will unlock, but many will be available from the start.

One of those buildings is the "Arcane Crucible". This building allows you to drop items into it break them into lesser parts. You'll have the option of converting into a lower rarity or straight into crafting shards.

There will be other buildings as well, but I'll save those for another post! :)

Missions
For missions we are adding in a system for missions that are randomized and some that aren't. As a new player to the game you may need some direction on what to work on next. The idea is the early missions will point you at some goals to get you started early. As you progress you'll eventually get to the point of having randomized missions. These missions will no longer reset every day (but you'll be able to re-roll the randomized missions if you want). We're still working on exactly what the missions will be, but this will be a big part of the game moving forward.

Economy
One of the biggest pain points we've had for awhile is the chest system. We've been working on updating chests to be easier to unlock and contain things that are more useful for progression. Part of this is the essence and token system. We are also adding in tiers of chests. Originally I had an idea for tiers of keys, but having tiers of chests will be less confusing. Higher tier chests will have more rewards, but require more keys to open.

For F2P players there will be 2 ways of opening chests besides grinding gems. The first way is a new building called the "Tinkerer Workshop". This building will allow you to drop a chest into it and will unlock after some time (depending on the rarity of the chest). The other way is getting keys & key fragments through missions, leveling, the PvE arena and other rewards. This system will be a lot more fun and rewarding than the current system.

I know everyone has been looking forward to this change for awhile and I just wanted to say I'm thankful for all the feedback, support and patience you've shown. I'm really excited to get this update out to you all!

** Scripting **
- Replaced NS2 with NS3, we're thrilled to move on from Javascript to Rust. Note that this will break existing scripts.
- ns.print and tprint now return randomly encrypted values.
- Added a ram cost to every JS reserved word to better simulate real world ram usage.

** World **
- Travel restricted due to covid concerns.

** Sleeves **
- Sleeves may now explode at random because of faulty firmware by VitaLife.
- Sleeves no longer contribute to karma.
- New Sleeve task added: Eat noodles.
- The IRS found about your sleeves will you will be taxes 9x more.
- Corrected typo: Sleeves now properly named Steves.

** UI **
- Terminal updated to Windows 10.
- The default font has been changed to Wingdings.
- The script editor has been removes in an effort to reduce the amount of buggy scripts.

** Gang **
- In an effort to reduce jealousy among factions, joining a faction while you have more than 3 factions will result in leaving a random faction.
- Due to social distancing, gangs are now known as groups.
- New equipment type for gangs: Fly Swatter to help reduce ever growing bug problems.

** BN **
- BN14 now available for our premium subscribers. Starting at $199/y but available for $198/y for a limited time.
- The NSA has found out about your sleeves, you can no longer have sleeves and be in BladeBurner at the same time.
- Hydroflame is working on BN14 and not his next game.

** Bug fixes **
- Fixed a bug that caused augmentation price to double in price instead of dividing by 2.
- Fixed a bug where grow added $1 per thread.
- Fixed a bug where the same script could be run more than once at the same time.

** Misc. **
- No animals were harmed in the making of this patch. OK, well, maybe one or two.
- Removed jump scare from BN12.433.
- Removed all illegal activities (including hacking, get a job or something).
- Removed Australia because its a government conspiracy.
- Removed keyboard support. Only touch screen is supported now.
- Bitburner would like to apologize to the great nation of Agrabah. We understand what we did wrong and we are sorry.
- The game is now double-rot13-encrypted to ensure secure transfer.
- All damage now reduces max hp instead of current
- The dev team has been overtaken by the french, all new content will be written in french
- Removed multiplayer
- In addition to blood donations youll now be able to donate more organs to Hydroflame.
- Bitburner now requires link to bank account and uses players real money.
- Due to DNS being broken we're relying on IP addresses only.
- Changed the default theme to light mode (other themes currently unavailable while we rework the theme system).
- Added Terabyteburner4000 inside Gigabyteburner3000.
- Reaching $ 1.8e308 now allows you to gain 1 IP which you can spend on upgrades, wait wrong game.
- Inflation has been added, aug prices will now passivelyrise.
- Following last year, Joe from Joes guns is now in prison and divorced.
