HereSphere update v0.9.0 for PC is now available on the beta branch. This update adds Handy controls like movement range, manual oscillation, and manual script patterns, as well as some bug fixes and quality of life improvements.
Synchronized peripherals:
Added range min/max settings that control the range of movement of the synchronized peripheral. Ranges can be favorited by clicking on the star icon next to the input boxes. Use the keybindings "Next Peripherals Range" and "Previous Peripherals Range" to quickly cycle through the favorited ranges.
Added a manual oscillation speed setting that will manually oscillate the synchronized peripheral. Speeds can be favorited by clicking on the star icon next to the input box. Use the keybindings "Toggle Peripherals Oscillation", "Next Peripherals Oscillation Speed" and "Previous Peripherals Oscillation Speed" to quickly toggle the oscillation mode or cycle through the favorited oscillation speeds.
Added a manual script pattern selection box that will play the selected script on a loop. To populate the script selection list, place funscript files that start with the filename "Pattern" into the funscript fallback directory. Use the keybindings "Toggle Peripherals Pattern", "Next Peripherals Pattern", and "Previous Peripherals Pattern" to quickly toggle the pattern mode or cycle through the patterns list.
Added a pause button in the synchronized peripherals menu that will pause the device without needing to pause the video. The keybinding "Play/Pause Peripherals" can also be used to toggle the play/pause state of the device.
Handy script download urls are now cached to speed up the script upload process.
The synchronized peripherals menu in the user settings has been removed since the menu can be accessed by clicking on the icon above the seekbar, making it redundant.
Quality of life improvements:
XBVR multipart scenes with multiple subtitle files will automatically load the matching subtitle file when the "multipart encodings" toggle is enabled in the user settings.
Changed rating and favorite icon color brightness so it's easier to tell the difference for those who are visually impaired
Bug fixes:
Fixed issue with parsing srt subtitles that contain multiple lines
Fixed issue with subtitles sometimes failing to display when opening a video
Fixed issue with default presets not being applied to new videos when the player has to switch the projection format
Fixed issue with player always resuming a video even when the "Resume From Last Position" toggle is disabled.
Fixed issue with the video image sometimes not being updated after opening and immediately seeking to a time (like when the video is resuming from the last played time or when autoseek is enabled).
Fixed issue with the video hanging when seeking on a streamed youtube video with youtube-dl or yt-dlp.
After being featured in Steam events for PAX Rising and The Mix, we've now hit a major milestone of 30,000 wishlists! As a small indie team who are completely self-publishing for the first time, we never imagined we'd reach so many people!
We'd like to say a big thanks to our community who have wishlisted, shared, created content and generally supported us throughout this 3 years of development. We couldn't have done it without you!

As mentioned in the previous announcement you unfortunately wont be able to load saves from the previous version of the game, however so that you can finish off a saved game I have left the previous version up on a special branch for the time being called - oldversionforsaves.
After conducting a poll I have seen that people mostly want me to work on upgrading the first-person aspect of the game adding in features that you would expect in a modern day shooter rather than adding in all the new spy tech.
I would also like to congratulate one of our customers Glenn for winning the map competition on Discord who not only won $50 but also had his map added to the pre-set map list, well done, we will certainly be doing that again in the future.

Thank you all for your support! I'm seriously humbled by your kindness... I'm so glad to a lot of you have enjoyed Netherguild in it's current early access release form :D It makes me even more excited for things to come, too!
So, what's next?
First week (this week): I plan on doing bugfixes to essential issues that players might encounter - also spreading the word about release, and if I find the time, chilling out after all the release preparations... I'm exhausted! (:
Oh yeah, some things that bugged players on launch were fixed - like the gate in the mist tower camp that required return to the overworld. Now you can access the new areas directly through it too - You can see the full patch notes here:
Again, I'm dedicated to fixing other bugs throughout this week and overall through early access. Let me know in the Discord or bug sub-forum on Steam if you encounter anything!
Upcoming weeks: Afterwards, I plan on adding new content / improving the existing content - especially in the city of mist. This means more enemies and more items - I plan on adding a handful of new skills to the existing classes too, as well as important quality of life additions.
Afterwards... Over time I want to begin work on additional new areas and some of the major systems of the game! stay tuned for more news about that in the future.
Far future
In the meantime, if you want an overview of everything that's coming to the full release, I made a forum post about it recently!
If you enjoyed Netherguild so far, please leave a review! reviews are so important for a solo developed indie game like mine with no publisher.
Really, reviews and word of mouth are the main ways that Netherguild can pop on Steam to other players - so if you have 5 minutes to write one or tell a friend who'd be interested about the game, I'd truly appreciate it.
Thank you again, and looking forward to seeing you in future updates! (:
Thank you again for taking part in the public playtest, we've had a lot of feedback so far which is great to see!
If you play on controller, you may have noticed a bug where the controller loses focus on UI menu screens (such as the choose one menus, dialogue options, etc.)
This has been a known bug for a long time but an extremely difficult one to track down because it happens so rarely. This patch includes a fix that I hope fixes the issue, but please keep an eye out for this bug, and if it crops up again please let me know - either on the steam forums or though our discord.
There have been some dissonant noises and some violations of the game's rules in the game recently. Some players have used hack on the battlefield. Some have used farm bot to level up quickly, and some have spread inappropriate words in the game. It all affects the environment of our entire Conqueror's Blade community.
We want all generals can enjoy the pure joy that the combat brings and will have the best gaming experience without disturbed by any violation.
Therefore, we'd like to take this chance to remind you all: we have recently noticed a big increase in accounts being flagged for using hacks, as well as websites selling accounts and phishing software. Do not try to use any of these simply due to curiosity, as doing so may lead to financial losses, and is highly likely to compromise your account's security. Any usage of cheating software will lead to your account being banned.
The following is the latest name list of violators and their punishments:
We will continue to monitor the gaming status of the above players, and if the same violations occur again, they will be subject to more severe penalties.
In order to create a healthy environment for the community, and better everyone's gaming experience, the Conqueror's Blade Operations Team will be unwavering in our fight against hack or farm bot. We won't let slide any uncivilized language in any channel. Warlords are welcome to report any of the above game violations to us. As long as we work together, we can surely create a friendly and stable gaming environment. Thanks for your support of the Conqueror's Blade.
Meanwhile, some issues or exceptions in game might be caused by bugs or an unstable network. If you are uncertain if someone is cheating, you can send us a message to our report e-mail. Once we've verified the situation, we'll deal with them appropriately, and punish them severely should they be using hacks.
