I am preparing "Survival" mechanics where you can dig through ground, smelt metals, craft items, eventually you are supposed to build your own space ship and leave the planet (what comes after that will be matter of other future updates.).
What I have so far:
Some planet generation
Diging through voxel terrain (smooth, not blocks)
Rich crafting tree (from most primitive technolgies to most advanced)
Things you can find in the ground:
Metal ores
Coal
Oil for making fuel and plastics
Crystals (used in transistors)
Sulfur (crafting solid fuel and explosives for fast mining)
Alcaline (for batteries)
and lot more advanced stuff for really advanced crafts and tech
Stones
Dirt
Planet surface has only bushes and grass and water
All necassary parts for crafting space ships and much more other parts
Building System
Electricity system
Plumbing system (mostly for fuel and rocket thruster)
Digital electronics systems
Why Its not out yet:
What I don't have yet
hunger, thirst, tirednes mechanics
Cloth crafting
Even tho you can craft all the parts, you can't generate electricity yet sadly, some crafting tables need electricity and your ship will need it too. I am planning to add wind turnbine, water turbine, solar panels, steam engine.
Animals
Survival mode will be main mode in the future (whatever is in the game now, will be serving only as a advanced tutorial for tech builders.)
- smelting furnaces now have a button to set steel ingot to maximum amount for smelting - smoothed out the bottom menu buttons during click and hover - opening menus should no longer cause a minor initializing lag - crafting menu will show a hover tooltip on the item being crafted with stats that it will get once the crafting is finished - material consumption UI is being added in top menu for each currency that is being consumed during crafting. This feature is to help every player to calculate how much materials they should prepared - material consumption feature can be turned on/off in the options - blueprint designer dropdowns for materials will not reset to default material when new part is clicked
Bug fixes:
- fixed a bug where turning off or switching parts in blueprint designer caused to remove it from already saved blueprint without apply button - any item for sale will be able to be sold even if the icon doesn't match the item type (mainly for players who doesn't want to start over) - fixed worker 2 that was inheriting values from worker 1 (requires restart) - fog will no longer be spawned on a new day when weather is disabled in options - all workers will now be able to have crafted anvils from player - pressing ESC during Save/Load menu will be blocked so it doesn't trigger additional main menu - Hammer blueprint parts from Wendigo battle will be now visible in Blueprint designer - Taxes UI will close all quest pop-ups - crafting queue icons will automatically adjust when the slot gets empty - blueprints will be searched for restrictions and allowances in the whole crafting queue instead of just the first slot
We have tweaked the Animaze 22 Plus/Pro DLC one-time-payment in-app page to reduce ownership confusion:
the purchase button now has been renamed to "Visit Steam Store Page" and opens the Steam store page (in the Steam overlay) of the DLC in question, this way you can check ownership directly through Steam's store page system.
the UI will show "Owned and Installed" if the DLC is owned and also downloaded. If you own the DLC but don't have it installed/downloaded, the "Owned and Installed" button becomes "Visit Steam Store Page". You can activate the DLC by going to Steam Client, right click on Animaze, going to Properties, going to the DLC tab, check the DLC you want to activate.
The safest way of checking if you own the Animaze 22 Plus/Pro DLC is to either navigate to their store pages in Steam Client (should show "In library" if owned), or the Properties > DLC tab of the app in Steam Client (should appear in the list).
As a reminder, the Animaze 22 Plus/Pro DLC is a separate application, a version of the base Animaze application with subscription perks, features, and content received until August 2022 (critical bug fixes have been and will continue to be pushed).
The Animaze 22 Plus/Pro DLC app can be launched with a couple of options:
Go to Steam Client and launch Animaze. You'll be prompted with two launch options: Animaze (which is the freemium subscription-based app) and Animaze 22 Plus/Pro which is the DLC app (one-time purchase version)
Navigate to <AnimazeInstallDir>/Animaze2022/Bin/ folder and run AnimazeDesktop.exe.
I bring the updates for the past two days, mainly focusing on some small operation improvements:
Operation Improvements
Shift+click to move the production plan to the top or bottom.
Batch adjustment of unit priority: In the unit panel, you can use shift+click the work type to adjust the priority of all units in the area in batches.
UI Improvement
The font is adjusted to be sharper.
Bug fixing
Fixed the problem that in some cases, the solar flare event could not be clicked to continue.
Fixed the problem that the construction vehicle would not build other blueprints when it had the lowest priority blueprint.
Fixed the problem that in some cases, there will be salary expenditure in the super rich mode.
Fixed the problem that the hint text of the policy was displayed incorrectly in some cases.
Fixed the problem that the cross-region grid was sometimes incorrect.
I mentioned this in a previous post but... I still can't believe Netherguild is a real game you can buy on Steam now! It feels like just yesterday I was prototyping turn based mechanics before it really took shape and became the incredible, complex game it is today.
Early access is going to be a long and bumpy road filled with adventures, discovery and challenges - so I hope you're as excited as I am for this big new chapter in Netherguild's development towards full release and beyond! :D
Oh yeah, if you enjoyed Netherguild, please post a review on the Steam page! Reviews are crucial for more players being able to discover the game on Steam, especially since this is a hand-crafted, solo developed game without any fancy marketing - I need as much of your help as I can get!
Stay tuned for an announcement tomorrow with some of my near future plans too.
A new Hero, 'MACO', is coming to the planet Prime!
See below for details about 'MACO', the new Hero duo joining us on Prime!
New Hero 'MACO' Details
Release Date
After the update on March 28th, 2023 (KST, UTC+9)
Hero Introduction
[New Hero 'MACO' Intro Video]
(The Guardian of Tindall) MACO Maco is the first of his species discovered on the remote island of Tindall. Besides possessing adorable paws and fluffy ears, he is also a master of magic. No one can rival his ability to wield the energy of gemstones. He cannot speak human language fluently, but he tries to improve by engaging with many people. Mangoes mean the world to him. He would trade a chunk of pricey gemstone for a mango.
Skill Info
Ta-da!(LMB-Skill) - Throws a gemstone at an enemy to deal Physical Damage. The gemstone has a set chance to explode, Pushing enemy heroes within range and dealing Bonus Magical Damage.
Maco Sparkle!(RMB-Skill) - Launches a gemstone which travels a certain distance upward and positions itself mid-air. After a short time, the gemstone explodes to deal Magical Damage to enemies within range. Affected enemy heroes are Pushed. The skill can be used again before the automatic explosion to detonate earlier. The gemstone can also detonate early if it comes in contact with an enemy.
Maco Gift!(Q-Skill) - Throws a gemstone that Recovers a certain amount of Health and increases Movement Speed for allies within range. If the skill affects 3 or more allies, the amount of Recovery is halved, and the hero consumes a certain amount of his own Health when an ally's Health is recovered. If the gemstone hits an enemy, it deals Magical Damage, decreasing the affected enemy's Healing and Shield for a set duration.
Maco Fly!(E-Skill) - Leaps in the direction the hero is facing to deal Magical Damage to enemies within range and Slow them for a set duration. The hero can charge in a desired direction right after leaping. A successful hit on an enemy hero additionally grants a Shield that absorbs Damage and gradually depletes over a set duration.
Maco Strike!(R-Skill) - Concentrates energy into a gemstone and rolls the enlarged gemstone forward to deal Magical Damage to all enemies in its path and Push enemy heroes. After rolling a certain distance, the giant gemstone explodes to deal Bonus Magical Damage to enemies within range, and leaves a Maco Stamp on the ground. The rolling gemstone explodes immediately upon hitting a wall, dealing Magical Damage to enemies within range, Stunning enemy heroes for a set duration, and leaving a Maco Stamp on affected enemy heroes. For a set duration, the Maco Stamp Slows enemy heroes within range, and Recovers a certain amount of ally heroes' Health. The gemstone's Power and travel distance increase proportional to the time spent concentrating energy.
Warriors, please look forward to MACO's arrival on the planet Prime!
But really, this is otherwise a very minor update necessitated by some technical changes in the iOS version. Speaking of the iOS version, the first official build will be submitted to Apple later today. If everything goes well, it should be approved within the next few days!

Dev Comments The Movement Speed and Attack Speed Decrease effect that activates when a Hero encounters an enemy Hero was working as designed. However, the damage was too high, so it has been adjusted.
Dev Comments Due to Wraith's play style, he's usually positioned in the back and he usually can't use Sprint mode because he needs to stay stealthed. To help him more effectively initiate fights or flee from danger, his skill area and Movement Speed have been adjusted.
[Rampage]
1. Menacing Arrival (RMB-Skill)'s Area Adjusted When Rampage Holds a Boulder - Before: 300 - Now: 400
[The Fey]
1. Forest's Will (RMB-Skill)'s Area Adjusted - Before: 450 - Now: 500
Dev Comments The skill area has been adjusted so Heroes can more reliably use the skill when clearing a lane or encountering enemies.
[Revenant]
1. Storm of Bullets (Q-Skill)'s Physical Power Coefficient Increased - Before: 0.45 - Now: 0.60
Dev Comments We found that Revenant's recent balance change decreased the usefulness of Storm of Bullets (Q-Skill). As a result, we adjusted the skill's Coefficient again. Additionally, we are monitoring live records and graphs for our on-going internal discussion regarding possible changes to Revenant skills.
Item Balance Changes
[Ximmia's Toy]
#. Stats - Before: Physical Defense 40, Magical Defense 30, Health 250, Cooldown Decrease 10% - Now: Physical Defense 55, Health 250 *The effect area has decreased compared to the previous area.
#. Effect - Before: Deals 34-51 Magical Damage per sec to all nearby enemies - Now: Deals 23-50 Magical Damage per sec to all nearby enemies
#. Price - Before: 3,300 - Now: 2,650 *The secondary combination item, Setricta Mask, has also had its area adjusted.
Dev Comments Since there are a number of item stats available, players would purchase the best items regardless of the compatibility between the item and their Hero.
We have removed some item stats to encourage players to purchase items more strategically. Due to this change, the prices and damage output from each item have been adjusted. As a result, Magical Power Heroes who struggled in Jungle lanes are expected to perform better.
[Spirit's Teardrop]
#. Price - Before: 2,400 - Now: 2,700
Dev Comments While the item's effectiveness was outstanding, its price was relatively cheap. This made it extremely effective for Casters. We've adjusted the item's price so players will also consider other Magical Power item options.
#. Stats - Before: Physical Power 40, Attack Speed 30%, Health 300 - Now: Physical Power 50, Attack Speed 20%, Health 250
#. Price - Before: 2,800 - Now: 3,000
Dev Comments With this adjustment, we focused on increasing Physical Power rather than Attack Speed. As a result, the Physical Skill Damage of Assassins and Warriors has been increased.
Dev Comments The synergy between this item and Casters was overwhelmingly good. The item had a cooldown cycle, which triggered the effect after a single use of the Hero's main skill. The cooldown has been adjusted and the item effect will be triggered after two uses of the Hero's main skill.
[Blacksmith's Scissors]
#. Price - Before: 2,400 - Now: 2,600
Dev Comments The Tenacity stat of this item was overpowering. We modified its Tenacity to help players utilize this item more strategically.
Dev Comments Because this item dealt less damage than Witch's Shoes and its effect was difficult to trigger, it had a low purchase rate. To generate more synergy with Heroes and this item, we've added an All Vamp effect. Additionally, the item's Magical Damage has been increased, and its cooldown has been adjusted to lower the usage hurdle.
Dev Comments We found that the cooldown was too long to match the game's fast pace. The cooldown has been adjusted so players can use the effect faster.
#. Stats - Before: Physical Power 50, Physical Penetration 10, Health 300 - Now: Physical Power 50, Physical Penetration 15, Health 300
Dev Comments We found that the cooldown was too long to match the game's fast pace. The cooldown has been adjusted so players can use the effect faster. Additionally, we adjusted the Physical Penetration value to make the item more useful for Assassins.
[Ekidna's Trick]
#. Effect - Before: Increases Magical Power equal to 2.5% of Max Mana - Now: Increases Magical Power equal to 3.5% of Max Mana
Dev Comments Although its Max Mana is low, we've adjusted the effect so players can quickly benefit from its Magical Power Increase effect.
#. Effect - Before: Slows by 20% upon successful Basic Attack (Ranged 10%) - Now: Slows by 30% upon successful Basic Attack (Ranged 15%)
#. Stats - Before: Physical Power 40, Health 400 - Now: Physical Power 40, Attack Speed 20%, Health 400
Dev Comments The stat was adjusted according to Heroes' average Slow stat. Also, the Attack Speed stat has been added to encourage players to purchase the item for various types of Heroes, not just Warriors.
[Clawed Storm]
#. Effect - Before: Increases the Hero's Movement Speed by 20% for 4 sec - Now: Increases the Hero's Movement Speed by 30% for 5 sec
Dev Comments The item had become less effective due to Sprint mode. We want to increase the usefulness of Assassins by helping them keep up their momentum with this item, which now has an increased duration and effectiveness.
[Spirit's Armor]
#. Effect - Before: Physical Power 40, Attack Speed 25% - Now: Physical Power 40, Attack Speed 30%, Movement Speed Increase 4%
Dev Comments It became difficult for players to benefit from this item when they were struck by Debuffs. Additionally, its stats and effect were less effective than other Ranger items. To help players use the item's effect quickly and guarantee that it's enabled, we've added Attack Speed and Movement Speed stats.
#. Effect - Before: Decreases Cooldown by 0.2 sec for all skills upon successful Basic Attack on an enemy - Now: Decreases Cooldown by 0.3 sec for all skills upon successful Basic Attack on an enemy
Dev Comments While the item was best suited for skill-based Rangers, Heroes other than Twinblast, Sparrow, and Crunch tended not to select this item. We wanted this item to become more effective for players in the early game, so its Attack Speed and effect have been adjusted.
Dev Comments The duration has been adjusted so the item can be used to counter Rangers more effectively.
[Shock Energy Battery]
#. Effect - Before: Deals Damage equal to 50% of the Hero's Physical Power upon successful Basic Attack - Now: Deals Damage equal to 125% of the Hero's Physical Power upon successful Basic Attack
#. Stats - Before: Physical Defense 40, Health 300 - Now: Physical Defense 50, Health 300, Movement Speed Increase 3%
Dev Comments In combat, it was very difficult for players to utilize the out-of-combat effect and attempting to use it more than once would be even harder. We've adjusted the damage output to make the item more impactful when it's used just once. Additionally, a Movement Speed stat has been added to help players move around the battlefield faster.
[Broken Watch] #. Stats - Before: Physical Defense 30, Health 200, Mana 350, Movement Speed 5% - Now: Physical Defense 35, Health 250, Mana 250, Movement Speed 5%
Dev Comments The item's effectiveness has been boosted by decreasing Max Mana and increasing the Health value.
[Embodiment of Vengeance]
#. Effect - Before: Deals 20% of Magical Power + 10 Magical Damage upon successful Basic Attack - Now: Deals 20% of Magical Power + 15 Magical Damage upon successful Basic Attack
Dev Comments The values have been adjusted so the item can help players deal more damage in the early-mid game.
Dev Comments The item was meant to counter Casters and cancel Debuffs with its Magical Defense stat. However, its low Power made players hesitate to purchase it. The Power has been adjusted.
[Inquisitor's Prayer Beads]
#. Price - Before: 1,300 - Now: 1,100
Dev Comments Although the item had Magical Defense Increase and Debuff cancellation effects, its price was too high. We want players to purchase the item, especially when their opponents have many Debuffing Heroes, so the price has been adjusted.
[Berserker's Helm]
#. Effect - Before: Decreases the attacker's Attack Speed by 4% and Slows them by 4% for 2 sec if the Hero receives Damage from a Basic Attack (Stacks 5 times) - Now: Decreases the attacker's Attack Speed by 5% and Slows them by 5% for 3 sec if the Hero receives Damage from a Basic Attack (Stacks 5 times)
Dev Comments The item's stats seemed less attractive than those of other items designed for Tanks. The effects have been adjusted so players can feel the effectiveness from the item directly.
[High Priest's Consolation]
#. Stats - Before: Magical Power 45, Magical Defense 30, Mana Regeneration 1.2, Cooldown Decrease 5% - Now: Magical Power 45, Magical Defense 30, Mana Regeneration 1.2, Cooldown Decrease 10%
Dev Comments It was difficult for players to know if their ally had a Debuff applied, which made this item more difficult to use. The item effect's cooldown has been adjusted to encourage more frequent use, and its cooldown has been adjusted to unlock its potential.
[Treasured Sword of the Kingdom]
#. Effect - Before: Increases Critical Damage by 25% when Critical Rate is 50% or higher - Now: Increases Critical Damage by 25% when Critical Rate is 40% or higher
Dev Comments The item effect condition has been adjusted. With the Critical Rate adjustments, we hope Rangers can purchase more effective items.
Dev Comments The team considers this item more efficient than other gemstones. To prevent players from only purchasing Dekima Gemstones of Fortitude, the items' effectiveness has been adjusted.
