Hello everyone

We're moving forward with the 1.7.4 patch to address a number of issues we've received since the 1.7.3 update.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug in which mapping the 'left MB' as 'attack' could close UI menus by clicking the 'left MB'
  • Fixed a bug in which by performing specific commands the player could skip the boss battle in the Dark Mirror Chapter 4 boss map
  • Fixed a bug in which players could obtain the 'Prohibited Book' even after obtaining the item 'Demonomicon'
  • Fixed a bug in which the wrong image was being displayed for the item 'Grace of Leonia'
  • Fixed a bug in which some 'attack type' text colours were missing
  • Fixed some awkward Chinese translations

Hey everyone!

First of all, I want to say thank you for playing our Alpha. ːheart_eyes_yetiː
Just by you playing or quitting the game really tell us how much fixing is needed to make this game fun.
And for people, you help us with the survey, interview, and LIVE tester. Thank you so so much.

This allows us to know what is the real problem in our game and make sure to have it solved before releasing.

Let's start with some stats.


Honorable mention cards: Eagerpunch and Strafing.
0% Pick rate: Transcendence. (Super shocking; we dev. think it is super powerful.)
Players hate Boss Act 1: most players lose the game and don't get to experience the town system.

What will be fix/change?

According to the feedback from our Alpha Test. (List that needs fixing).
  • Control needs to be smoother. (Throw, click, slide, cancel, etc.)
  • A lot of UX/UI.
  • The tutorial is unfriendly, and some players are still confused about the game.
  • Monster power spike and difficulty is a big problem.
  • Cards synergy can be better.
  • Aura-type monsters are annoying.
  • Request/Need a lot of visual feedback, icons, animation, etc.
So, after a long discussion, here are things we can confirm.
  • Friendlier Tutorial and UX/UI.
  • Control will be smoother.
  • Add more impactful relics and gems.
  • Adjust randomness in the map node and more unique Events.
  • Roguelite progressions will be added.
  • Fight animations, VFX, and animation feedback will be added.
  • Spoiler: Big changes in the ITEM system (Too STS at the moment, we'll make it Northwind style).
  • And many more! I don't want to spoil all the goods, so see for yourself in our Demo! ːsteammockingː
Demo and Early Access launch date.
We need to move our launch date. We initially expected to launch our game around June, but after careful consideration... the game won't be up to our standard, or at least we believe you won't be happy with that quality.

So... this is just a rough estimation.
  • The Demo should be available in August.
  • Early Access... probably Q4. (We'll announce officially again when the date is near.)

Mori Carta - Nevergreen Games
This is a major content update starting with a new playable archetype, The Atoned. The Atoned uses Faith, which allows them to scale their power through a fight. But the higher your faith, the more challenging it becomes to maintain. We're excited for people to try this unique and challenging archetype.

Additionally, we are introducing a new companion: Rael, He Who Grapples
Battle physical manifestations of the seven deadly sins in Rael's run.

Additional Updates:
  • Reward cards have been improved and will now offer better and more interesting choices based on how far the player has progressed in their run.
  • Added limited keyboard and joystick controls. Combat, shop, and event cards can now be navigated using a joystick or the arrow keys. Full controls for menu navigation will be coming soon.
  • Some sound effects were updated.
  • The event and character select screen backgrounds were updated.
  • The initial tutorial cards had their artwork updated.
  • Removed the card Time's Ebb from the enemy Dream Catcher and replaced with Fate's Pet

v0.2.1.0 update is a small update on the outside, but It's a full rewrite of the layer system, to speed up the process of adding new elements and systems, and to allow more functionality like the new "Canvas" element that allows grouping other elements inside.

This is a big change in how SpriteMancer works internally, so the appearance of new bugs is expected, but I'll be fixing them during this week.


  • Added a "Made with SpriteMancer" section where users can submit their creations and get showcased.
  • Added "Noise" element.
  • Added "Canvas" element. This element allows placing other elements inside it.
  • Added Korean localization credits.


  • Completely rewrote the layer system to allow grouping and more options.


  • Fixed a bug that skipped one frame when exporting a reversed animation.
  • Fixed a bug that made the preview speed be wrong in values under 60fps.
  • Fixed particle/models being displaced.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented colors being linked in the timeline.
  • Fixed a bug that made interpolating colors not work.
  • Fixed a bug that showed particle's position as speed in the inspector.
  • Fixed a bug that made fluids crash the app.
  • Fixed fluid presets that were misplaced.
  • Fixed a bug that showed "undefined" as the shortcut for pasting layer parameters.
