- The throwing knife has been added to the game, but since it's a DLC weapon, you can only access it by using the console. So if you are interested in trying it out, open the console with Backspace and type "get throwingknife 10". Equip and use it like a grenade, but you have to figure out how to make it "stick" to the target. Try throwing it at wooden objects like wooden fence.

- Attempted to optimize the interactive object selection code for mouselook/chasecam/gamepad control modes

- Fixed a problem with player back into a wall after strangling

- When aiming a rock/grenade, you can now see the distance in meters

- Kicking hostile human enemies will now cause some melee damage

- Several water-related infrastructures can now be looted, and they contain respawnable water bottles

- Fixed a script error in Ravenwood where you get to complete the final quest before you get it

- The radiation of Mad Mechanic anomaly will now vary from day to day. If the radiation is too high for you, come back in a day or two.

- Fixed a problem with silenced 44 magnum not playing reloading sound

- Each salt crafting now produces 10 salt

- Added a raycast blocker on the second story floor of Sanatorium

- Fixed an issue with player immediately alerts the enemies when the Sanatorium stealth quest begins

- If you close a notebook, and open the same one again, you will automatically go back to the last open page. If you open another notebook, the page memory resets.

- Fixed an issue with player stopping for a second while sneaking and toggling always-walk

- All smashable crates no longer have physics. this should prevent them from flying away.

I said I would try give a dev log/ update weekly but was unable to follow through on that. I've been sick and had midterms so that kind of got in the way, but I was able to improve a lot of things. With that said this is a bit of a bigger update compared to last weeks.

- Maze Monster AI has been improved again. I wanted to try something new and like it a lot more than it was before. She will now give some breathing room every once and a while to keep her from camping a single area.

- All the scare scenes where a monster catches you have been completely reworked. Before they were a level sequence that would only play locally for each client. There were some technical reasons for doing it that way and they did look a little nicer in my opinion, but the other players would either not see the monster or see the monster standing still during the kill. Monsters now catch the player in real time using just rotations and animation montages. It looks cleaner to everyone else and still looks clean to the player experiencing the scare.

- Items wouldn't respawn sometimes. This was fixed I hope.

- Other graphical bugs have been worked out from what I can tell and should be working fine.

Like I said before I'll try and do a dev log soon, I may even work on that tomorrow since I'm on my spring break and starting to feel a bit better.

We're making some balance adjustments to the early game based both on some of the feedback we've received and our own observations.
We're also squashing a couple of bugs that've already been found since release.

Fixes
  • Adjusted Veiled crit buff to use correct buff source (no longer has prep round icon)
  • Adjusted Placement of Amber Dust Icon in Flameseeker Summary Bar
  • Fixed bug where Apprentice Wildlander Hellion had Veteran-level SPD
  • Fixed bug where Wildlander Hellion's "Wreck" didn't have a negative crit modifier
  • Fixed bug where Wildlander Bombard's "Ballistic Thunder" didn't have a negative crit modifier
  • Fixed bug where Cactonid Aspiciac's "Chilling Stare" did twice as much Stress Dmg as intended
  • Fixed bug where Bounty Hunter's "Flashbomb" debuffs lasted 4tns instead of 3tns
  • Removed some more Triple Swarmer mashes from the Caverns
  • Fixed some more Typos

System Changes
  • The first two Ferry Heroes are now guaranteed to be a Vestal and a Crusader
  • Retreating now has a 80% chance of succeeding and on fail, the chance increases by 10% (was 70% with chance increasing by 5%)
  • Heroes can now only get Diseases in the post-quest screen if they are Resolve Level 3 or higher
  • Starting Gold has been increased to 10000 (was 8000)
  • The Tutorial Quest gold reward has been increased to 7500 (was 5000)
  • The chance to get a negative quirk on a successful mission with 100 stress has now been capped at 40% (was 50%)
  • Adjusted some more in-game descriptions
Hero Changes
  • Antiquarian's "Festering Vapours" is now Mystical
  • Shieldbreaker's "Captivate" is now Mystical
  • Shieldbreaker's "Expose" no longer deals bonus dmg vs stealthed targets
  • Shieldbreaker's "Expose" now targets positions 234
Caverns Changes
Certain values are displayed in short/medium/long format
These changes affect all difficulties
  • Caverns missions now have 1/2/3 less rooms
  • Caverns missions now have an average of 1/1.5/2 less room battles
  • Caverns missions now have an average of 1/1.5/2 more hallway curios
  • Caverns missions now have 1 less max hunger tiles in all lengths
Monster Changes
Certain values displayed in apprentice/veteran/champion format
  • Most Reposition moves can no longer crit. (This affects skills exclusively used to reposition enemies that are out of position)
  • Levantine Thaumaturge's "Hermetic Laceration" can no longer Bleed the target
  • Levantine Champion's "Skull-Smash Dash" no longer Bleeds the target
  • Troglodyte Pterotillus' "Skybound Swipe" no longer buffs the user
  • Wildlander Hellion's "Steel Falcon" now has a 1rd internal cooldown
  • Reduced Wildlander Bombard's SPD by 2 at all difficulties (now 8/10/12)
  • Reduced base DMG for Wildlander AoE moves (Ballistic Thunder, Wreck, Arsenal Flurry, and Fletched Salvo) by ~20%.
  • Increased DMG scaling for Wildlander AoE moves by ~25% (this means that Champ Wildlanders still do the same amount of damage)
  • Reduced Cactonid Verterephile's Slobber's Stress Dealt to 11/13/15
  • Yngolian and Sand Charmer now have counters to full-party stealth cheese
Misc. Changes
  • Adjusted the Training Hall upgrade costs so that the first level of skill upgrades is a little cheaper and the final upgrade levels are a little more expensive (now 25/92/165/243 Valor Marks)
  • Hippocratic Quirk now gives an additional +20% Restoration Amount Applied
  • Bad Healer Quirk now gives an additional -20% Restoration Amount Applied
  • Legendary Bracer Trinket has received a buff
  • Essence of Malignity Trinket has been reworked to be less abusable
