Hello everyone, I just wanted to share some basic information about me, my development process and the game.
About me
My name is Peter Jurkovsky and I am from eastern Slovakia (Prešov). I am a solo indie game developer who develops games in Unity from 2015 in my spare time besides fulltime job, wife, one child and other hobbies. And this is my desk where all the work is being done:
My previous games
From 2015 I have released three smaller mobile games and one PC game called Juro Janosik, which was released in 2021. For my surprise, with this game I have managed to win the Best Game Award in Game Access '22 conference in Brno, Czech Republic.
Wendigo Hunter is my current project I am working on. I started working on it in January 2022 and I think it's now somewhere between prototype and vertical slice phase. So there is still a lot of work to be done. My plan is to have a playable demo in Q4 2024 and then release the game as Early Access (hopefully in the end of 2024).
There is an Arts Council in Slovakia which annually choose few game projects and support them with funding. So this year I have participated in such "competiton" and in few weeks there should be a resolution. So keep your fingers crossed :)
Thank you, stay tuned and have a nice day.
P.S. I hope you have already added Wendigo Hunter to your wishlist. If not, you know what to do :D
The new Death Guard joins the battle! Mortarion and his Legion set foot on Terra ready to unleash tides of death and corruption on the battlefield! Take a look at all the details of the third new legion to join the game during this expansion in the latest web post, including their new Warlords and how to collect all the new cards: https://www.horusheresylegions.com/death-guard-release/
Embrace the blessings of Nurgle and gather the forces of the Death Guard to bring Terra's defenders to their knees! Will you succumb to decay and take control of Mortarion's Legion?
Combat in Trailmakers isn't something new - we've introduced weapons before. These were focused on multiplayer fun and were not a fundamental part of the gameplay.
That changes in the Airborne Expansion, where in addition to giving them a purpose (you can check the list of enemies here), we introduce new weapons and a new aiming mechanic. And this new mechanic makes battles in Trailmakers a whole new thing.
To complement the combat system we have added aiming reticles that will automatically lock onto enemies in front of. You can place your guns in different directions and fire at multiple enemies around you at the same time - or just surprise a pesky flanker who has lurked up behind you.
Guns will work the same way on all types of vehicles whether it’s planes, cars or boats. Take the fight anywhere! To give you some more sugar for this medicine the aiming system works to not only shoot at your opponent - it also anticipates where they are going and fires bullets ahead of them. So dust off your aviators and get ready for some serious dodging.
Need to take out tougher opponents on the ground? Well, why don’t you fly directly above them and unleash a barrage of bombs on them - or lock onto them with missiles.
All these mechanics will also be available in skirmish multiplayer so you and your friend can test who can build the biggest, baddest war machine.
