This update doesn't bring a whole lot, but it should bring you all some fresh new changes to the gameplay experience, with the addition of the new arena.
The Pit
A new combat arena has been added to matchmaking!
We're calling it The Pit. The Pit is an arena that does not feature a gutter, which means there are no ring-outs. This means you're a little more free to go for aerial combos, since there's no chance you accidentally throw yourself out of the ring.
There are also a few very heavy structures scattered along the edge of the arena that can deal some hefty damage when you hit your opponent with 'em. Be careful though, they're large, and you'd seriously regret smacking yourself in the back of the head with one of these. These massive structures re-appear every round, try to make the most out of them!
Now that there are two combat arenas, a random one will be selected at the start of each match. However, when you and your opponent want a rematch, your rematch will always take place on the same arena as the one you just fought on.
Future content
One of the things we've been working on is a reworked matchmaking system, that features lots of additional content.
As you've seen, currently you can't select which arena you want to fight on because one gets selected at random. When this new matchmaking system goes live, this will change. You will be able to not only select which arenas you want to play on, but also which game modes you want to play, and with how many players.
Another feature we've been working on, is something we call "Shift Stones". A Shift Stone is a wearable item that can give you additional options in combat, or strengthen options you already had. One Shift Stone can be worn on either hand, so you can mix and match them to see which combinations work best for you! Be careful though, as some more powerful Shift Stones can also negatively affect certain aspects of your fighting capabilities. Stay tuned for more information on this new feature!
So yes, more content is coming, today's update really is an appetizer.
That's all we have to share with you today, we hope you enjoy fighting on the new arena!

Greetings, everyone! We would like to start by thanking our diligent beta-testers for their contribution to Deflector. Since we opened the beta to our fans on Discord, we’ve been receiving invaluable feedback and finding new places where the game could be improved.
It is in part thanks to this feedback that we have made the decision to shift the release date of the full version of Deflector by a week. You may now expect the game’s full release on March 24th. This decision did not come lightly, but was, as always, dictated by the desire to make the best game possible, fueled with the comments and suggestions of our players.
Please continue to look forward to Deflector! And thank you to all who have already contributed to the experiment!

The game now has is own music logic. Only 3 songs for now, Phonk based ones found on youtube with some modifications. It's quite hard to find music that can be edited, but I should find some more later (or make my own).
Gameplay Change :
You have to hit the ball again to activate the ball control. But the ball control mode remains if you stay in the control zone even if an opponent touches the ball.
Bugs :
- the cursor didn't disappear when closing the menu. - It was'nt possible to break the front window of the truck in Parkour mode.
Late March, 1918, France. Operation Michael, has begun. A major German military offensive which was the starting point of the German Spring Offensive. The goal was to break the Allied lines, allowing them to advance north-west to seize the Channel Ports. These were of big importance to the British, as it was a big supply line for them.
These plans later got changed by Erich Ludendorff, making the offensive push west, alongside the British front, which was situated north of the Somme river.
In-game
Starting today until the 26th you can play our latest campaign. All casualties in Frontlines- & Maneuver game modes in Verdun and Tannenberg will be added to the total losses. Changelog v.1.0.8
Graphical Overhaul — Part 1
Our Artists and Level Designers are hard at work to bring some more graphical enhancements that will improve the overall visuals of the game. This week, we are implementing a big batch of re-created trees to the game as well as improvements to the visuals of the wooden fences and other small props. The new trees have more variants than before, making the forests around the world of Gloria Victis look more unique and varied. This is the first part of the upgrade, which will be continued in the following weeks to bring even more reworked visuals to the game!
Crafting Tutorial Questboards
This week brings a new series of quesboards — Crafting Tutorial Questboards. These new questboards are located around the safezone of each nation, and provide special lower-tier (up to tier 3) crafting orders that award players with tokens that can be exchanged for crafting recipes. These questboards are a great way to level up your crafting skills and progress faster through the crafting profession levels.
New Horse Skins
We are introducing three new skins for horses this week. Be sure to check them out in game, and ride to battle with style!
Improvements in treasure hunting
We have taken our time to better show the places of buried treasures! From now, they will be showing not only marked by a quest marker but also have their own model! Grab a shovel, and go for some treasure hunting!
Follow the Content Creators
We are very happy to see so many new content creators join our Community, as well as to see how the content creators we’ve already had grown in numbers! We encourage all of you to visit the channels of these amazing creators and hopefully find some content for you:
We cannot stress enough our happiness and gratitude to see such nice videos posted by our active community! This week, we have chosen a few combat videos, that will be rewarded with the main reward of 2000 ambers:
Faster fire extinguishing when a location is not sieged.
Adjusted crafting professions for certain crafts
Mount Skins have now a separate filter in the market
Adjusted rewards for some events in the safezone
Improved the search bar in the market window. From now on it will hint at the searched items’ names.
Added a welcome page to the market.
Removed the “Forestry and Farming” crafting profession. All the recipes have been added to other categories. The profession didn't offer a whole range of recipes making it extremely hard to grind up to level 100 without any real use case.
Globally optimized the terrains of the game's world. This change should reduce the RAM/VRAM usage.
Fixes
Fixed some graphical errors for rocks and cliffs.
Fixed an issue causing workstations not to have a lootzone bonus after a server restart.
Smoothed the increase in workstations’ temperature.
Optimized the way the workstation manages its temperature level and the fuel it uses
Fixed an issue causing the crafting quests not to be counted for the weekly rankings.
