Steam Achievements
University Life will have Achievements! We will be adding achievements!

I saw some people requesting achievements and it's being worked on!

Fixing Kate Model

As been pointed out that Kate has random spots on her head. Came to find out it was a hair glitch that was happening with the hair.
We have updated her hair now. Same colour but different hair. The different hair will be put in the next story update.
For the rest of the story her old hair will be there until the next update.

Fixing Sexual Scenes With Kate/Daisy

As we always view everything that the players have said we had one person point out that Kate's sex scene at the beginning was Grey. Also sexual scenes were not long enough. So, we are going to make the Kate scene longer and with more sexual interactions that You the player get's to choose.

Daisy sex scene will also be updated with choices for the player to choose. With Anal choice or a blow job choice!

Fixing Britt scene when walking away interaction.

Fixing the choice of watching Britt or walking away choice. This will be also be fixed in the update. As there is no walking away from the door picture. We want to thank the players who have pointed this out on steam on and discord.

Fixing grain from some pictures.

With the new update we will try to fix most of the grain in the pictures. We do apologize for that and hope to have that fixed asap.




Taking away the animation that was made and putting in a picture to picture.

Reason towards taking off the Animation is because my computer cannot handle the rendering for the animations. But does well with the pictures. So I will be taking away the Animation until I get new components for my computer. I hope that will be soon.

Dialog Update

•Dialog will be updated for University Life. To bring more into the story and to make the story shine.

Sometimes an update takes a bit longer, they come with more content, fixes, balancing changes, and features, and these need to be tested more thoroughly. So we decided to create a public experimental branch on Steam that anyone can test what's upcoming. Feedback and any reports are most welcome, either here on the Steam community hub or on our discord https://discord.gg/bYFWVj5Wf8

To play the experimental branch, all you have to do is to find The Hero We Need in your Steam library, right-click -> Properties and under Betas, select Experimental.



Change logs for the experimental branch are not yet available. We're trying to figure out the logistics for that right now.

Hello Grid Runners!

We are excited to announce the latest update to World of Haiku!

The team has made some improvements to the game's terminal functionality by introducing two new commands: "file" and "unzip." These commands will make managing files and extracting the necessary data easier. But the real highlight of this update is the introduction of steganography, a new concept that will teach you the foundational principles and concepts.

Haiku is also pleased to announce the introduction of the World of Haiku Store where we will release monthly in-app purchases!

This month's release allows you to embark on a brand new quest that expands on the V1 story as well as a dojo and a new avatar called Dr. Omen Parks.

We have also added a new avatar selection app with more options to customize in-game appearance.

We have also implemented serialized player preferences in an editable ini file, which allows saving game preferences across multiple sessions and integrated Badgr as Canvas Credentials.

BALANCE:
Reduced pawn health slightly (later in runs).
Adjusted the way pawns spawn (hopefully will provide better maneuverability later in a run).

FIXES:
Fixed a bug with fire that would spawn more blackholes then intended.
Fixed a bug where explosions from pawns would hit the player even though shield was active.
Fixed issue causing the victory screen to not display the correct time and level.
Fixed an issue related to pawn summons crashing the game with error message (comparing unset values).

ANNOUNCEMENT

Well... we have past the 1-year anniversary of Early Access of SCP: 5K on Steam! This is not only a milestone for Affray collectively but also a positive emotional period for me as well. Starting Affray has been a massive journey for all of us here, but for me, this has been something that I've had to grow so much to achieve. When I started this initially, I came from a pretty tentative point with very little understanding of not only the industry... but also myself. Starting and upholding Affray and growing into what we've become has been a huge unbecoming for myself — between the leadership of 30 people now working with us actively (and their families depending on their/our collective stability), lots of emotional and stressful tests to my resolve as a leader and friend, and ultimately striving to be the best person I can be and do my best to never be what I've disliked in others.

I'm incredibly proud of this project and our team, and I will always strive to be the best leader, friend, and person I can be. I feel not only is this an existential goal for me, but I deeply feel our continued success rides on just being as good of people as we can be — and I need to lead Affray and our partners by example for this to truly prosper and to continually be something I'm proud to fight for.


DEVELOPMENT STATUS

Update 2 is well underway! We have some exciting stuff to showcase soon, between a new cinematic narrative trailer (non-gameplay, but not deceptive don't worry) and a new Affray Development Archive (devlog) underway! This will include behind-the-scenes of motion capture and gun range field recordings, among quite a lot of new cool things we're working on! 🙂


WHY DO UPDATES HAVE LONG INTERVALS?

Focusing on constant patches sets us back massively in the longer term, along with being generally very stressful to manage on top of already-vigorous development efforts. Longer intervals allow us to focus on development near-purely and frees us from the added stress of pumping out micro-updates into circulation. I understand this can be concerning from your end at times, but we truly aim for what's best for development and to make sure we can meet our longer-term goals in as timely (and healthy) of a matter as possible and to ensure we can make this the best project it can be. We will continually make sure we communicate where development is at whenever we have a chance. ❤️

A more standardized Day/Night system has been put into place. This includes standardized map tints and more specialized battle backgrounds.

We've also made more objects "smackable" with Mal's hammer throughout various parts of the map! Breaking stuff is fun!

I've done some more tinkering with how the menus look. I've also drastically changed the menu on the planet selection screen. There are now only 2 options: "start" and "next planet". In the future I'll create a shop that has its own screen.
