Now that you’ve taken in all the details shown on the map, let’s talk more about Sierra Nueva! With its vast topography, rich vegetation, incredible vistas and a great mix of asphalt, dirt and deformable sand roads, there’s no better way to experience Horizon Rally in your favorite cars.
PUEBLO ARTZA
Let’s start with the quaint town of Pueblo Artza. It’s located in the heart of Sierra Nueva and surrounded by tall, lush hills and spectacular rock formations. Some say the views from those cable cars are impressive, but they're not bad from the asphalt either.
DESERT GORGE
Asphalt Rally drivers, are you ready to tackle the technical roads of the Desert Gorge? This canyon is the perfect location to hear the echoing pops and bangs from your anti-lag turbocharger! Here you will find incredible scale views, swirling roads, massive rock formations patterned with unique striations, and a terrain engraved with a unique personality thanks to its Horizon-inspired murals. Drive on the wooden bridge and enter Photo Mode so you can capture the details up close!
GREEN HILLS
A view stretching out for miles of open spaces in the Green Hills full of vibrant plant life, towering rock terrain and a crystal-clear stream of water. Gaze ahead to the distance for miles of untamed open spaces in the Green Hills, full of vibrant plant life, towering rock terrain and a crystal-clear stream of water. We don’t anticipate it to remain that way for long however, especially once your muddy tires drive through it! Here you will also find a massive dam and reservoir, as well as a nearby asphalt drag strip so you can practice Launch Control.
PALM FOREST
Here’s a fun challenge: Can you smash down every tree in our Palm Forest? With plenty of nearby dirt trails primed for dust kicking and a beautiful, large waterfall and stream located off the beaten path, this biome is always a sight to behold!
ABANDONED QUARRY
Abandoned Quarry featuring machinery, sloped terrain, piles of dirt and dump trucks. Take your best stunt vehicle to Orogrande as this Quarry is about to feel a massive shake-up once the Horizon Rally drivers blitz their way through the machinery, sloped terrain and piles of dirt. Some may call it reckless, but this is Sierra Nueva. Just watch out for the dump trucks!
RUGGED DUNES
Rugged Dunes environment with some plant life dotted throughout. You’ll need to schedule a visit to the car wash after crossing the Rugged Dunes. With sand everywhere, tires carve into the terrain, leaving a distant trail behind them. You’ll also find deformable sand roads interwoven with pre-deformed tire tracks, as well as some hidden surprises, including a Bike Track ideal for short-burst Trophy Truck racing and the small town of Cráteres Secos nestled within a large crater!
GET YOUR RALLY ADVENTURE STARTED

Now, players can declare war on factions, or make contracts and take away what they own through diplomatic means. This feature is still under development, so there are some missing parts: • Enemy factions are not yet attacking your bases (this feature will be added in a few days). • Diplomatic sanctions and trade agreements cannot yet be made (this feature will be added in the update on 10/03/2023). • This feature serves as the foundation for a more advanced and detailed faction-build system that will be added in the future. It is currently in the early development stage.• Faction wars have been improved. Now, AI advances more rationally in the form of command and control in faction wars. And the general of each station also participates in the battles, trying to disrupt the player's tactics. (Experimental)• New high-class ship types belonging to the player's faction have been added. Reported by players as follows :
• After conquering a station, the battle section in the "faction" interface still appears.• The Ship Manager interface or bank interface can be accessed from inside a station.• When an enemy dies while performing a melee attack, my character goes into ragdoll mode when passing over the enemy's corpse, and sometimes spins around constantly.• Mining/Research/Factory stations are not being counted for System Conquest and are being duplicated.• Enemy ships slow down after a while in pursuit mode, causing me to lose pursuit.• If my character tries to enter a station while climbing, all lights in the game go out and my character gets stuck at the station door.• Reloading while aiming and then letting go of aim during the reload animation keeps the slower aim sensitivity, even though I am no longer ADS.• If I place a stacked item from the service panel in the bank, the second item I placed in the same stack does not update in the bank.• My drones don't transition to Ally state within 1-2 seconds of their initial spawn, and during this time, they shoot at me if I stand in front of them.• After changing weapon switch keys, when I reach a certain point in the main story, these keys are reset to their default values.• In faction wars, sometimes my ships do not enter the battle area during the Escape route.• Mercenary interview missions take players to gas giants or systems with no planets.• Enemy NPCs can shoot through walls.•In the "kidnapping Mark" mission, if the mission changes to "warp away" after kidnapping the ship, and I do not warp and return after some time, the mission gets stuck and I cannot use the warp drive again.• I cannot enter the Hub station Raditz in the Daillium system. The screen fades and stays that way.• Ally ships spawn as fighters, even if I upgrade them via the Faction panel.• After reading the notes on the Points of Interest (POI) found on planet surfaces, if I open another interface (such as inventory), I am unable to close the POI note. It remains stuck on the screen.• Enemy ships are shooting back without using the default backfire ability as if I am in front of them.• In the Qu-hran mission, I fell off the containers while jumping on the cargo ship, and since I couldn't activate my jetpack, I fell to the ground but my character did not die.• In the Ka-Run mission, I die when the PODs explode.• Every time I use Anka's crew abilities, an explosion effect spawns on my ship.• When warping to a combat zone, I am being attacked by pirates. As a result, a faction war begins but I am unable to access the combat zone.• In the shop widget, if I press the "++" button to buy a stack and then switch tabs without pressing the purchase button, and return to the purchase interface, every time I press the "Buy" button, I buy the entire stack for a single item's price.• My drones are not attacking the enemies around them but are just following them and doing nothing.• The presence of my ship during the battle does not affect the capture point.• When attacking buildings outside the station, soldiers land in the station and stay in the air while fighting without their feet on the ground.• Shops sell equipment one level above the player.• Some Falron stations cannot be loaded.• In faction wars, support-building turrets never attack the player's ship.• The Win dialog (Destroy/Plunder/Capture) can be closed by pressing ESC, which keeps the operation stuck and prevents the battle from being won.• We are aware that some players are experiencing crashes, especially towards the end of warp. Unfortunately, since we are not encountering the same issue on every computer, it has been difficult for us to pinpoint the source of the problem. To address this, we have formed a small team of volunteer players to help us reproduce the bug. We are working hard to find a solution and we appreciate your understanding.
Introducing the Reputation system. Track your standing in human settlements and unlock bonuses by increasing your reputation.
In addition, a new housing feature has been added, enabling players to settle permanently in town. There are also improvements to haggling with shop prices, and several bugs have been fixed.
Save files from v0.4.10 are NOT compatible.
Reputation
Added a new Reputation system to the game, allowing players to track their standing in human hamlets, towns, and cities.
Reputation is tracked independently in each settlement.
When you first arrive in a new location, your reputation will be set to "Stranger".
Open the reputation window from the "Quests" menu at the bottom of the screen. Click on a reputation tier to see what bonuses are unlocked at that tier.
Gain reputation by completing quests. All quests now reward reputation on completion.
Lose reputation by failing quests or attacking citizens.
Town guards now patrol the streets of human settlements, and will attack players whose reputation falls to "Hated".
Added a Governor to towns and cities. Speak to a Governor to purchase a house.
The wisdom reward amount for quests is no longer displayed on the job board. Wisdom and Reputation reward amount follow a standard pattern based on the quest difficulty, but neither are displayed (why would an adventurer write on is job note how much wisdom you'll receive?).
Player House
Removed free places to stay previously available in each town, city, and hamlet. To settle permanently in town, players will now need to buy a house.
Once you reputation is "Favored" or higher, visit the Governor of the city or town to request to buy a house.
Houses have 3 storage containers, and a random workbench of either (cooking, alchemy, workbench, reading).
Houses are not available in hamlets.
We think player houses being tied to reputation should greatly increase the value of having a storage base in town and makes the decision of where to stay more important.
In the future we want to add purchasable house upgrades and even placeable furniture, or possibly placing your houses in the wilderness.
Inn Room
Can't afford to buy a permanent house in town? No problem. Inns across the realm now offer rooms for rent, giving you a place to rest and store your items.
Innkeepers will now rent a room for the price of 10 gold a day, or 50 gold for a week.
Speak to the Innkeeper again to add more days to your stay, or check how many days are remaining.
Make sure you can pay, or you may lose access to your stored items until you can rent the room again!
At low enough reputation, the Innkeeper will kick you out, even if you still have days left.
Other Changes
Unique quests now display an icon next to their name on the job board for easier identification.
Changed how the haggling stat affects shop prices. Worsened shop prices (e.g. -20% haggling) now increase prices by the same percentage. Improved shop prices (e.g. +20% haggling) now reduce prices as a percentage of the difference between the buy and sell prices. For example, if a shop sells an item for 100 gold and will pay 50 gold for it, +20% haggling will be 20% of the difference, reducing the price to 90 gold. At +100% haggling, the price becomes 50 gold.
Reduced the price of Elderberry Wine from 105 to 60 gold.
The faction formerly known as "The Keepers" has been renamed to "Leafborn".
Changed the default hotkey for toggling names to "Tab" from "Alt".
Changed the hotkey for accessing the Quest menu to "J" from "F7".
Item Icons
Added 9 new item icons covering Medicine supplies and our first key.
Bug Fixes
Fixed UI scaling issues on the character side-pane window.
Fixed a bug with the "Gremlin Terror" quest, which previously made it unbeatable if the Gremlin Chief was killed before starting the quest.
Fixed farmer wander behavior, where they would wander off their farms to the edges of the map.
Fixed player weight displayed in storage and trade windows not taking into account weight reduction bonuses.
Fixed Infused Darklings being attracted to your magic items even when out of view distance.
Fixed creatures that should prevent escape from doing so and vice versa, including sprites, green spiders, friendly goats, farm turkeys, friendly turkeys, bloodleeches, vine snakes, and dwelling snakes.
