1. Where can I download the Steam version? Download and install Steam first. Then, search Bless Global in the Steam store to download it.
2. Is my game progress synced across platforms (Steam and mobile version)? Yes. As long as you log in with the same account, your progress is synced between your PC and mobile device.
3. Can I still enjoy my VIP PASS benefits in the Steam version? Yes. But you need to make sure you've already bound your PKB wallet to your game account on the mobile version. If you have already done so, you'll be able to enjoy the same benefits you've had while playing on Steam. VIP PASS benefits are permanent once activated. As long as you are using the same account that has the activated VIP PASS, you can enjoy those benefits on both your PC and mobile device.
4. How to use the NFTs/BLEC I have minted in the PC version? For now, you can’t use them while playing on PC. But you can do so in the mobile version, as game progress of the same account is synced across devices.
We hope you are all well. After a lot of hard work, the Performance Update is finally here!
As with the latest updates, we'll be releasing this one in a special branch in order to avoid risking the game's stability. We'll use the time to fix any remaining bugs and tweak the game balance and we'll merge the branches in a few weeks as usual as soon as we make sure everything is working as intended. If you want get the update before the merge, follow these instructions:
1) Go to your Steam Library and right click on Card Survival 2) Click on Properties 3) Go to BETAS 4) Select "updatebranch" in the dropdown list
The next time you hit play you will be playing in Update 41.
Before we go into the content list. We wanted to let you know that we've started localisation for German, Spanish and Portuguese. We don't have many volunteers yet, so it might take a while, but it's in the works! :) If you would like to help translate Card Survival into your own language, whether it's one of the ones we mentioned or another one, don't hesitate to send us an email to winterspringgames@gmail.com!
Let's go to the content now:
Performance Improvements:
We're happy to say that we have made some big improvements regarding the game's performance. We've focused on improving the loading times when transitioning between zones, trying to make them as short as possible and we're quite satisfied with the results. Areas with crazy amounts of items might still take a bit of time to load but it's really nothing compared to what it was before. We think the late game experience should be significantly improved. As always, your feedback is very welcome. :)
This however required very deep changes to the way the game is structured internally, and this of course came with many bugs. We managed to fix most of them, but it's likely that a few have escaped us. Fortunately, we're confident that releasing it on the beta branch will allow us to detect and fix any remaining issues.
Flutes:
You can now build flutes with wood and bone.
Initially you'll only be able to practice with them but as you progress with your skill you'll be able to unlock more and more tunes.
Each tune has its own requirements to unlock, with some requiring you to be in a specific mood, or in a particular place. Different tunes will also have their own minor effects!
Resting Changes:
The old rest button in the waiting option has now been changed for a new "meditate" action. It no longer gives as much wakefulness as it used to, so players will now have to rely more on getting proper sleep. :)
Meditation will give you a way to increase your insight after reaching certain milestones, and can be made more effective through some special methods.
Salt Improvements and Food Seasoning:
The old method of getting salt (boiling seawater) has been removed from the game. To get salt you'll now have to build a Salt Bed with mud bricks and clay. This contraption evaporates seawater at a relatively fast pace, and lets you gather the remaining salt.
Curing Fish and Meat with Salt will now use Blueprints and require more salt. Salt and Chilli Powder can now be used to season food, to make it tastier and sometimes slightly more durable.
Farming Tweaks and Improvements:
Animal feeders now have larger capacity. All animals feeding values have also been tweaked and rebalanced.
Crops now give a different yield depending on how healthy they are when they become ready to be harvested. Healthy crops will produce extra plants while very damaged ones will produce less.
New Weston Dialogues and Secret Ending:
Weston has received a few new conversations that can get unlocked in some special circumstances.
A secret ending has also been added into the game. I don't want to release any details, but I should warn you that to experience it you'll have to start a new run.
Minor Additions:
- You can now build Wind Towers in both Mud and Stone Huts to help lower the temperature in them. - A new outside shower can now be built to help advanced players wash themselves. - Monitor Lizards Raids are now happening more reliably in lizard territory. - Boars are now also able to raid jungle bases and can damage your crops if you're not careful. Yams are especially good at attracting them! - Tables, Beds, Pottery Wheels and Bookshelves can now be dismantled and transported. - Travois can now be dismantled. - Stoves now have larger fuel capacity. - Feathers can now be used as tinder and to make feathermeal, a fertilizer.
Bug Fixes:
- It is no longer possible to build wells inside enclosures or roofless mudhuts or sheds. - Fixed some partridge bugs related to overcrowding. - Travois can no longer be placed inside travois. - And more! (I accidentally lost my the rest of my list of bug fixes :'( )
That's all for now. Hope you enjoy the new content and performance improvements!Take care everyone and see you on the next update!

It was brought to our attention that there were still moments when the MC would appear behind the message box. We have been working to revise this issue. We are hoping that this latest patch will resolve this issue and apologize for any inconvenience.
If you encounter this error, after this update, please let us know.
Also, we plan to upload two animated sequences in the next week so keep a look out for that patch!
Eav 19.7 brings an additional chapter to Act 3 along with a new enemy to encounter - the Grunt.
New Chapter XIV, step into the ravaged barracks of the corporation as you inch ever closer to containing this Evil. A challenging chapter that will test even the most battle hardened Mortals.
New Possessed Grunt Demon, aside from dealing with Death Souls, Grunts will pose a new threat being heavily armored and ranged. There are 3 variations of Grunts, each being slightly more armored than the last. Be careful Mortal, getting caught in the open when these soldiers move in may result in death!
What's Next? I initially wanted to include much more with this update, but ran out of time for this month's update window. I still want to stay true to my promise of monthly updates for this year and will strive my best to do so. Plans for language localisations, custom keybindings, a new weapon type, improved item hover highlights, new ammo types, and a restructured, safer save system have been moved to future updates.
Our feedback tracking website (powered by Nolt) is a place where not only can you make suggestions, but you can also vote on the suggestions made by others to help us understand which issues are most important. Operation: Harsh Doorstop is a community developed game, and that means incorporating our community criticism in efficient ways at scale is absolutely critical. If you value your opinion and want to help us improve our game, go make your voice heard on our feedback page.
Download the OPEN SOURCE zombie survival mod template.
Want to create a zombie survival mod for Operation: Harsh Doorstop that is similar to Call of Duty: Zombies? Thanks to our developer Miha, half of that work has just been done for you.
Our development team members have not only been working on the core game, but also helping the mod community every chance they get. We'll continue to put out templates, tutorials, start projects, and all sorts of other assistance to get your mods up and running.
Our upcoming plans for anti-cheat assistance.
With all our critical bugs and fixes regarding mod support and Steam workshop currently resolved, the next primary objective is implementing the features our multiplayer community needs to combat cheaters. Over the coming weeks we'll be rolling out waves of updates that introduce new systems to combat this ongoing problem.
Block filtered players from joining a server. These planned features are server settings that can be set by administrators. They are entirely optional, and each server has full control over how aggressive their block filter should be.
Check if a user is VAC or game banned on any other game. If so, block from joining server.
Check if a user is a new account under X days old. If so, block from joining server.
Check if a user has under X hours playing the game. If so, block from joining server.
Check if a user has been community banned. If so, block from joining server.
These initial settings should significantly help servers block ban-evaders or known cheaters from joining their server. While this will definitely help... we know it won't stop cheating entirely. Which is why we're working on the following update.
Implement optional Easy Anti-Cheat for servers. Easy Anti-Cheat is currently in the beginning stages of being incorporated into our game. However, we are doing extra work to ensure that Easy Anti-Cheat will not be a game-wide system. This system will only be active on servers that choose to enable it, and will not be active in single player matches (or when mods are enabled while offline.) Configuring this functionality will take some additional time, but as Operation: Harsh Doorstop's mission is rooted in being open and mod-friendly... this is mandatory functionality we require prior to incorporating EAC into the game.
Our community members have been playing and creating each day, and for anyone who wants to see all the coolest community creations before they even hit Steam workshop... our Discord is the place to be.
For any additional information, make sure you watch the video linked above!
Thanks so much for enjoying Operation: Harsh Doorstop, and I hope I'll see you on the battlefield soon.
