If you already have The Outer Worlds and its associated DLC, Murder on Eridanos and Peril on Gorgon, on Steam; you can upgrade to The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition for a reduced purchase price*. To enable the upgrade purchasing option, you must be signed into the same Steam Account used to purchase the base game and its associated DLC and select the “Complete the Bundle” purchasing option.

Gamers!

It’s one of those days when I have to tell you something sad. I’ve decided to change the release date for Flooded - we are now moving to April 12th.

I understand that this news may be disappointing to many of you, but over the last 2 weeks I ran additional rounds of tests and I would like to use this time to implement the feedback. I realized that I’m not utilizing the full potential of Commanders and Relics, therefore I will be adding more of them, which will require additional balancing.

I want to ensure that the game is of the highest quality and meets your expectations!

I would also like to stress that besides the above features Flooded is ready for launch, so April 12th will be the final date. I can’t wait to see how you’ll cope with the flood! Thank you for your patience and continued support.

A list of updates from the last week, if you've missed it:

  • Added controller support.
  • When activating obelisks, artifacts no longer need to be physically collected. A choice between two artifacts appears in the UI with a brief description.
  • When selecting an artifact, time slows down so that the player can read the descriptions.
  • Artifact descriptions now include a note on the type of stat growth when stacked. Logarithmic, linear, or exponential growth.
  • Wording in item descriptions has been changed for readability.
  • Protection against killing gatekeepers with one hit.
  • Almost all keys can now be remapped.
  • The indicator under the character's feet now changes color depending on the gatekeeper's health level.
  • Aurora is now available regardless of the outcome in The Nowhere.
  • A new siren named Prince. He will replace Tarra in Aurora.
  • The basic difficulty level of The Nowhere has become significantly easier.
  • If attempting to use a skill on cooldown, a sound indicating the action's unavailability will play.
  • The delay after skill use has been removed, allowing for planning of spell chains.
  • Gatekeeper controllers have been redesigned, and control is now much more responsive.
And many other small but important changes!

An important announcement to those who took part in the Gatekeeper: Eclipse playtest - please note that you will no longer be able to access your previous save files. This is because we have implemented a new Steam Cloud feature, which means that your new save files will now have a different pathway.

The time is almost here, and we can finally tell you that Barotrauma is coming out of Early Access on Monday, March 13, just two weeks from now.

Are you ready? We are shaking in our diving suits! We’ve spent almost a year working on the upcoming 1.0 update, and we can’t wait to hear what you think about it. It introduces the faction overhaul, which we have been teasing in recent weeks, and a proper ending to the campaign. What’s really down in the depths? Definitely not just a doomworm, but we don’t want to spoil the surprise.

After almost four years in early access and closer to a decade in development, March 13 is going to be a huge day for us and Barotrauma. Four people from our team sat down in front of a camera to tell you a bit more about that journey. Take a look at this behind the scenes video for our story!

Thank you for sailing with us for so long. The end of Early Access is not the end of our development, and we still have more updates planned after 1.0, but now it’s time to say: Welcome to Europa.

Partum Artifex - Joakim "Chef" Lundström
The first-ever patch for Partum Artifex is here! I'm gonna be honest, there's not too much going on in this patch but a few minor changes:
  • Fixed blueprint texture in the shed
  • Added more hints related to the clock puzzle
  • Implemented new sounds and replaced some old item sounds
  • Added some missing subtitles
  • Some notes contain more information related to puzzles
  • Spelling mistakes (there are plenty left to fix)

IMPORTANT: This update includes changes to how saving works in an attempt to prevent rare instances where save files became corrupted, but it's possible that these changes may affect your existing save file. If you are worried about this, I recommend that you wait for future beta patches or until this patch is out of beta.

Enemies
  • Clockwork Cannon: Attack cooldown reduced from 4 clock ticks to 3, missile damage radius increased.
  • Clockwork Golem: Laser range increased from 16 tiles to 18, maximum and initial laser turn rates reduced, laser warning duration increased.
  • Spinner: Maximum move speed while spinning increased.

Emblems
  • Dark Thirst: Mana restore changed from 2% of max. mana to 1%.

Spells
  • Rework - Stone Skin (Crash, previously Bash): While the shield is active, dashing stuns enemies within 2.5 tiles of the destination for 2 seconds.

Other
  • Challenge Level VI: A banner message now appears when the invasion portal spawns.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed bug where data was not being saved (introduced in v0.1.00b).
  • Fixed bug where cooldown reduction was being displayed incorrectly in the player stat panel for cooldown speed.
  • Fixed bug where Black Hole spell was incorrectly labelled as an arcane spell.
  • Fixed bug where Static Discharge (Automatic) spell crashed the game upon use (introduced in v0.1.00b).
  • Fixed bug where Clockwork Golem enemies weren't moving.
