The game now supports three additional TrueType fonts:
Sarasa Fixed J
UD Digi Kyokasho N-B
BIZ UDGothic
If these fonts are installed on your system they should be selectable from the Font submenu.
However, the game engine depends on system specific search paths (meaning the fonts must be installed to be available to the game). So results may vary on different systems.
If you're having trouble with fonts, let me know on the Steam discussion board. I'm trying to put together a troubleshooting guide that will help people quickly resolve any such problems.
We just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has played the game already! Your support means a lot. We're a small team with only two developers, but this is our first game and we want to make sure we're stepping up to the plate.
Speaking of which, update version 1.0.1 should be live now! This update addresses some confusion around endings and mechanics:
A notification will now appear when an ending is reached to clarify the "sandbox" mode
Crouching is now explained towards the beginning of the game
"Rotate" and "adjust held distance" mechanics are now specified in the UI for pickup objects
We are excited to announce that the public demo of Oblivion Override for the upcoming Steam Next Fest is now available until Feb. 13th!
You can download it on Steam and come explore the first two major areas of the secret Dulce Base. Be mindful of detonators, electricity, and misprogrammed robots. If failed halfway through your unknown mission, try more times equipping different advanced weapons and a variety of skill upgrades. Every trip should bring new random discoveries.

To help you know more about the demo details before you embark on the adventure, we prepared a FAQ about the demo content, gameplay systems, and other info:
Q: How much content is included in the demo?
A: The demo version contains the first two maps of the game - the abandoned factory and the alienated bio-greenhouse, and two deadly boss fights with “Electric Erich” and “Ripper Wright” awaiting your visit.
Also, regular enemies will spawn in the two levels as the “first playthrough” difficulty. Don't forget to adjust your weapons and build in the face of different enemies and random combat rooms.
Q: How many weapons are available in the demo?
A: 15 weapons are available in the demo: 4 are initial weapons, 6 are unlockable weapons, and the remaining 5 rare weapons require blueprints and resources to craft - which also have more powerful passive abilities.
There are 10 extra weapons that can't be unlocked, for they may affect the difficulty of early exploration, but you can still see them in the demo.
Q: What does the Evolution system look like in this demo?
A: In this demo, we increased the spawn of “Nanite” as well as the chance of exclusive and fusion abilities to help you upgrade in the first two maps. Also, all core items are available to allow you to grow faster and enjoy the deeper gameplay of Oblivion Override.
In terms of Evolution paths, we selected 8 main features including "Belligerence", "Rage", "Killing Skill", "Hologram", "SMD-115", "Pulse Mastery", "Spike Core", and "Advanced Tech". These features cover different dimensions from combat to movement, catering to your needs for trying all kinds of builds.
In addition, shops, chest rooms, core rooms, and Nanite rooms will also be accessible in the demo, allowing you to get stronger in various ways to beat levels.
Q: Does any other major character show in the demo?
A: Yes! There are 8 NPCs and you can bring Mr.Xie, the merchant NPC to your base at the early stage. The NPCs shown in the demo all have their own stories, but some of them can’t be brought to the base in this demo. You can also enter Mecha room in the base and Lee’s room in the greenhouse, but the relevant functions are not available at this moment.
Q: What languages are supported in the demo?
A: We've just updated the initial Japanese translations into the demo. So the current version supports English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese!
Q: Can I share content from the demo on any social platforms?
A: Yes, of course! No matter if you are a YouTube content creator, or a streamer or not, please feel free to do that! For members of the press, you can contact us via email: indie@xd.com.
Q: If I encounter any bugs playing the demo, how can I report the issues?
A: You can submit a ticket via the in-game Bug Feedback section under the Pause menu or join our official Discord server and post in the #demo-bug-report channel. Your feedback and suggestions are really important for us to further optimize the gameplay experience!

Blowgun Extended -> Cost 1 Energy. Gain 1 Hit. This Blowgun increases Hits and Energy cost with each use.
Book of Burns Extended -> Cost 6 Energy. Add 5 Hits. Each time you lose HP this Book of Burns lowers its Energy cost by 1. Resets when used.
Ink & Quill Extended -> Cost 2 Energy. Spells a word for you but only reveals the first 2 letters.
Musket Extended -> Cost 4 Energy. For each vowel in your word, gain 2 Hits.
Trapped Soul Extended -> When you draw a penalty card change its letter to a random vowel.
Each of these are added to the Hero unlock system. So as you progress with each Hero you will gain access to these new community chosen Items and Guffins! Hop in and join us on Discord if you would like to participate in these hands-on changes.
