Hello everyone,

In the past few months, we have focused on the reconstruction and optimization of the game, the addition and integration of new systems, and of course we are also working hard on the main story line of Emily. Here we will share the current progress with you.

Game reconstruction
At present, we have reconstructed many important systems, including: NPC task and dialogue system, save system, vehicle system, weapon system, animal AI system, map system and the most important "two-person interactive behavior" system... etc.

The process of game reconstruction and optimization took us a lot of energy and time, but it is necessary and worthwhile in order to reduce errors, increase future scalability, and improve everyone's gaming experience.

There are also some AI NPCs, a simple version of the cooking mode, "two-person interaction behavior" after wine tasting... etc. We are also implementing the ideas you put forward.

Main line and branch line
Around the plot, we have added a number of new scenes, and we will design an exclusive "two-person interaction behavior" plot for each place.














There are still two new characters being developed, but the plot and "two-person interaction behavior" are much more complicated than before. Character images will be announced in the future.

After the last update, thanks to everyone's support, the studio has the ability to add two reliable employees. Now COVID-19 is still serious. Although some of us were diagnosed last week, our enthusiasm for making games has not been affected at all, and we still stick to our original intention!

The Lunar New Year is coming, we will abide by the agreement with you and we will not give up making games. We are also very grateful to many players who have always supported us. Your support is really important to us!

The new update is here!

Hey fellow outlaws!

It has been two weeks already, time for the new update.

This time, it is all about quality of life and balancing. First off, we finally added an inventory! Indeed, you'll now be able to see the objects you have chosen along your run through the pause menu or the upgrade or object selection menu.



This feature was heavily requested and we are happy that we finally could take the time to bring it to you. When it comes to quality of life improvements we also added a few more options in the settings for you to personalize your experience. You can, for example, toggle the catchphrase texts on or off.

Secondly, this update comes with a big balance change. Indeed, since the implementation of the undertaker and the game duration increase that came with it, we noticed that critical chance and critcal damage had become a must take in every run. This didn't suit well with our game design as we want players to be able to not invest in criticals if they so choose. We, therefore, decrease the efficiency of critical chance and critical damage upgrades but brought down enemies health in general to balance things out.

Moreover, and as you can see in the preview image for the update, we took the opportunity to add yet another language : russian.

Finally, and as per usual, we got rid of a bugs that arose in the last update as well as other older ones.

We are also working on the side on a bigger change to the game but it is a bit early to let you know. You'll see soon enought. :)

New system

  • Inventory system - You can now access your inventory while in the menu or when choosing upgrades or objects. In the inventory, you can see all the items you've already collected in a run.

Quality of life

  • Seismic Dance's effect is now disabled when disabling explosion fxs
  • Added controller haptic vibration
  • New togleable settings in parameters : "Show enemies deathrattle texts"

  • Endless - Enemies' health stops scaling 15 minute after defeating the Undertaker

  • Hawkeye - Critical Chance gained : 60% -> 40%
  • Hawkeye - Damage reduction : /2 -> no damage reduction
  • Hawkeye - Critical Chance upgrades stop showing up in level ups after it has been taken
  • MachineLearning - Rarity : Rare -> Epic
  • Bloodlust - Rarity : Rare -> Epic
  • Undertaker - Energy Ball speed : 3.5 -> 3.9
  • Undertaker - Energy ball spawn delay : 0.8 -> 0.7
  • Undertaker - Gun shots delay : 1.4 -> 1.3
  • Enemies - Tier 2 Batmen health 600 -> 500
  • Enemies - Tier 3 Batmen health 800 -> 600

Bugfixes

  • Mezcal Grenade will now ALWAYS be affected by cooldown reduction
  • Turret Map indicator will now ALWAYS be visible when the turret is not within the camera
  • Multiplayer score submit issues are resolved
  • Unlocks will now be double-checked to make sure you don't get achievements such as "Become the turret" without unlocking R0B3RT

Showrunner - inexplicablegames
Thank you to everyone who has purchased Showrunner so far! This is a small patch to fix some of the most glaring issues that have come up since launch.

Crashes
- Fixed issue where show interest could reset to 100 after loading game.
- Fixed crash that occurred if a staff member got above 1000 points in an attribute and moved above S Tier.

Balancing
- Halved the multiplier value which calculates show viewers from 10k to 5k, as it seemed much too high (and was also giving massive bonuses)
- Contract bonuses too high - reduced base bonus reward multiplier down from 5 to 4
- Reduced the 'for every x viewers' bonus types payments down as it's probably still too high even with halved viewership
- Reduced base Persona Point rewards from an episode down from 50 to 35
- Increased most card cooldowns by 1 or 2 (left enough 1s at the start so you can always pick something even without researching)
- A Secret Revealed token cost increased by 1
- Increased staff search (and casting) costs substantially

UI
- Added rounding to Persona Point reward on episode completion to get rid of decimal rewards (also fixed underlying issue)
- Total viewers on episode complete changed to million rather than massive unreadable number
- Player should no longer be able to select the same card set to research in more than one slot at the same time
- Removed the function where the scene card sidebar list would go back to page 1 whenever you selected a card on any page (it was annoying)

Hello! In the new update, we improved the radio and added the ability to listen on the boombox, added a device for selling unwanted items, and made fixes to the work of quick slots and inventory.

  • Now the radio can be listened to on the boombox. Open the built-in menu and select a radio station or downloaded songs.
  • Music can be heard not only in the car, but also next to it. You can adjust the radio volume using the “+” and “-” keys on the Numpad keyboard.
  • Added a machine for selling unnecessary items. Installed next to the pawnshop. When you sell, you get 80% of the item's original price.
  • Added the ability to collect water in bottles from faucets and drinking fountains.

  • Fixed and improved the logic of quickslots.

Call of the Wild: The Angler™ - EW_Patrycja
Diamond fish are no longer as elusive, and objects previously missing collisions and key missions with progression issues have been addressed. Also, the players with motion sickness should find driving around much more comfortable after installing this update. Read on below for the full breakdown.

Patch Notes

Improvements
  • The frequency of Diamond Fish spawning in the Norway Reserve has been improved. The Golden Ridge Reserve Diamond spawn rates have also been balanced out.

    Dev Team’s Notes: Looking at the data and hearing from the Community we realized that Diamonds ended up being much harder to catch in both Norway and Golden Ridge Reserve. We've updated the numbers on both maps and made some fixes to make all spawn rates more consistent. We will continue to closely monitor our analytics and your feedback to ensure that all fish spawn rates are balanced well in the future.

  • A small number of objects within the Norway Reserve were missing collisions. These have now been resolved.

    Dev Team’s Notes: A couple of objects slipped through the net, but we've caught them all now and that includes fixing up one of the collectibles that had fallen through a rock.
  • The main narrative mission in Norway had reports of not progressing correctly. The step to 'Find the Rod' saw the key not always spawning after burning the coal. This issue has now been fixed.

    Dev Team’s Notes: There was a small chance based upon previous actions for the key not to spawn as intended on the first chapter of the Norway Narrative mission which had blocked a few players. We've been able to isolate the problem and make sure that even if you got stuck there, now you'll be able to go back and progress.

  • Vehicle cameras have been improved to reduce motion sickness by blending the movement of the camera between the vehicle and the horizon.

    Dev Team’s Notes: Players who previously suffered from motion sickness should now feel much more comfortable traversing the rough terrain and choppy waters. We've tested this change with members of the team who previously got affected while driving the 4x4. They confirmed that they no longer feel ill when going on a ride around Golden Ridge and Trollsporet! (No developers were harmed while testing this patch!)
Bug Fixes

Progression
  • The Daily Challenge asking players to catch 6 Asp of any rank in Norway wasn't tracking as intended, leaving players unable to fulfill the requirements. This is now working as intended.
Visuals
  • A specific location within Norway saw water being cut short, leaving part of the water body missing. This has now been resolved.
