We’re working on a new feature for Robocraft 2, completely revamping the way colour systems function and wanted to talk about our plans and how it’s expected to work in-game.
ALL COLOURS ARE FREE!
That’s right, You can choose any shade of colour to use whilst building your robot! You’re not spoiled for choice either as we are using an RGB colour system to give you ultimate creativity. Over 16,777,216 possible colour shades can be selected and used to paint your robot!
Painting Your Robot
So you’ve created a robot! Tested its centre of mass, weapons and its acceleration in the test zones. You’re now thinking about bringing it online to fight against others? Are you sure it’s ready?
Sure, it might perform well enough, but an unpainted robot is just about one of the most disgusting things you can bring onto the battlefield! A good old-fashioned coat of paint will really bring it all together.
Pressing the C button will enter colour mode where the hot bar will represent the six colours that your Robot will be painted. Right now the Robot is exclusively using the colour grey and we can’t have that!
Selecting number keys 1 - 6 will select a colour from the respective hot bar and will allow you to splash on a coat of colour anywhere on your Robot.
With a few more strokes of your paintbrush, your robot will no longer disgrace the eyes of your opponents and teammates!
But maybe, after finishing your robot, you aren't really happy with the colours of your robot. Just maybe, you’ve seen the whole picture and feel that the shades you’ve painted don’t match up with your vision of perfection. But you spent so much time painting the Robot the first time, isn't there an easier way to repaint the Robot with minimal effort… Oh wait, there will be!
Open up the inventory while in Colour mode and you’ll be greeted with the RGB Colour picker.
This hexagonal shape of rainbows is the colour picker. Marvel in its presence for it contains over 16 million shades of colours! Don't believe us? Go on, count them, we’ll wait…
Oh, you’re back! Did you count all 16,777,216 colours? Great! Now, how do you select them? First, you’re going to choose one of the six hotbar slots that you want to write a colour to. Then, move your mouse cursor over that wonderful hexagonal shape and click. Based on the area you click within, its respective colour will be added to the selected hot bar slot.
Overwriting an existing colour slot in the hot bar will repaint all parts that were painted their previous colour. For example, we’ve just overwritten slot 5’s Grey with a pink salmon shade and the hot bar and robot now look like this
Going back into the Colour Picker you may have seen that there were a number of sliders on the right! If you go ahead and click and drag on the hexagonal shape, these sliders will update in real-time as will the hot bar slot.
If you want a very specific colour, you can manipulate these sliders by clicking and dragging or entering into the number field on the far right. It will even generate a Hex code for you to use at the bottom which will give you a very specific colour shade. You can also input a hexadecimal code here to select a very specific shade. Now, after you’ve selected a bunch of different colours and added them to your hot bar, your robot is going to look a little different!
That’s bright! If this kind of design strikes the right amount of fear in our opponents, then have at it! But you can always change the colours very quickly by switching up colours in the hot bar. It’s painless and very easy to use when you have a huge amount of painted parts on your robot!
Painting Robots Purchased From The CRF2.
When it comes to painting robots created by other players, the process is a little different. Let’s say you’ve found a robot that delivers on the battlefield exactly what you want, but you don't quite agree with the artistic vision of the creator. Well, you’ll be able to make some pretty drastic colour changes with a new system that we have created. Look at this!
Each slice represents a slot on the colour hot bar… This is a colour palette!
The colour palette is a way to customise a robot's look in a single action! There are actually a ton of colour palettes and these can drastically alter the look of robots that you have purchased from the CRF2. Here are a few other combinations.
To edit the colour palette of a machine that you’ve purchased from the CRF2, you’ll need to view that particular robot in the CRF2. A button labelled “Customise” can now be selected. This will then open up a menu which displays the currently available palettes that you can place on this robot.
The first palette is called “Original” and is the colour palette that the original creator used to create this robot when uploading to the CRF2. Any other palettes in this menu are ones that you have obtained and own. Clicking on one of these will update the robot viewer window on the right with that palette’s colour. You can then inspect the robot in more detail to check that you’re happy with the changes before hitting save.
At any point, you can return to a robot you have previously customised and select another colour palette or return it to its original palette.
Colour palettes are just one of our planned unlockable cosmetic items. There will be more than you can gather over time whilst playing Robocraft 2.
The Ghost Exorcism INC team wishes you a very happy new year, and best wishes for 2023! We thank you very much for your support through 2022! To kick off the new year, we have some new game features for you, as well as a handful of critical bugfixes. This update will be published to the "public-test" (beta) branch and will be pushed to the default (main) branch later.
In addition to firing the Modified Shotgun at Clown balloons, players can now also pop these balloons by throwing objects at them!
Players can now customize their own Exorcism Book recitals from in-game! In the Hub "testing" area, head to the Exorcism Book pedestal room, and click the book found on the new desk!
The Occult Meter will no longer detect Totems (turn red) if the totem is on a different floor. Note: The Occult Meter will still be able to detect totems through walls, but not ceilings or floors anymore.
Thanks to player feedback/reports, we have corrected a bug which caused the Dread Origin to almost always be in the same spot on Pianist Manor.
We have found and corrected a problem which caused equipment/objects held by players who lost connection to the host to be stuck floating in the air. Equipment/objects should no longer become unusable if the connection to the host was lost.
We have found and corrected another potential problem with player save files. Please do not hesitate to let us know with a bug report if you have any further problems with the Steam Cloud saving feature!
We have found and fixed major issues regarding the player-to-player communications. Previously, there was a rare bug which could cause one player's voice to appear to come from a totally different player model/character. This also caused a random chance for player-to-player voice chat to be broken, or disconnected without reason. If players find that there are strange player-to-player communication problems, please try creating a fresh new lobby, then trying again. If players continue experiencing problems, do not hesitate to send us a bug report!
We have removed the collider from objects that are being held in-hand ONLY while the player is holding/moving a door. This will allow doors to open/close even if it is colliding with the Neutrino-Gun, or the Shotgun, etc.
We have made another significant update to player physics. Players should not notice the changes at all, however, this update should greatly reduce the chances of players falling through objects, getting stuck in objects, or being pushed through objects/walls. If anyone notices unusual behavior with player movement, or player physics, we strongly urge you to submit bug reports as soon as possible!
Along with the update to the player physics - we have also implemented a potential fix for "unconscious bodies" falling through the floor. Please do not hesitate to send us bug reports if you have any problems finding your fallen teammates!
We have implemented an update for failed revivals. This is not a final fix, but this will help us find the problem much more easily. It is extremely important that if you have a problem REVIVING a downed (player) teammate, submit a bug report as soon as possible (even while you are in contract, if you want).
V1.10: - Fixed bug when using Branding Iron on mask card. It now reduces suit locks by 2 instead of 1. - Removed LoadingScreenWithLogo.jpg as it was not being used. Reduces game size by 1Mb. V1.11: - Prevented name entry with non-latin characters (e.g Russian) as it causes a problem with the save data. - Made sure that Skip Story button is always in the default state even if it was clicked before. - Deleted shop item mouse over image from data\graphics\ShopScreen and from Loading code. - Fixed bonus stock cards only being created with suits in range 0-3 instead of 0-5. No effect on gameplay, just visuals. - Fixed tooltip order so that if a key is in a suit lock the tooltip is about the suit lock not the key. - Stars are now correctly aligned when they stop flying onto the screen. - Tweaked level 21-1 layout a bit and gave two normal cards dark card backs. Doesn't affect gameplay. - Removed two unused test levels. - Added Ancient Enemy to More Games dialog. - Added News Dialog and Icon for Regency Solitaire II Steam page. - Updated default.ini version number to 1.11 - Other minor code enhancements.
The game will be upgraded to version 1.1010 after the maintenance on 19 January 2023. The server will have maintenance at 2023/01/19 7:00 UTC. All players will be disconnected during the maintenance. To prevent loss of results, please exit the game early.

Secrets of the North and Muspah Improvements
It’s been a week since the long-awaited return of the Mah̶̹͚̯̫̹̿̊̔̀̇̆̐̀̃͜jarrat and the reveal of the new Muspah boss! We’re ovḙ̴̛͖̣͕͑͋́̐͝͝rjoyed to see how much love Secrets of the North is getting.
That said, we’ve made the usual array of changes and improvements, including a few hotfixes from l̶̞̝̜͇̙͉̟͓̰̩̙̺̱͔͌̎̐͂́͂̑̾̊̃͜ast week:
Freezes can now land more frequently on the Muspah.
Updated the Muspah loot table:
Yew Seed: Reduced from 3 to 2
Palm Tree Seed: Reduced from 3 to 2
Torstol Seed: Reduced from 6 to 5
Grimy Snapdragon: Reduced from 38 to 31
Grimy Toadflax: Reduced from 86 to 74
Ranarr Seed (Uncommon): Reduced from 4 to 3
Ranarr Seed (Rare): Reduced from 12 to 10
You can now only receive Muspah Slayer tasks once Secrets of the North has been completed.
The Muspah’s melee attack is now more consistent, with reduced accuracy.
The Muspah should no longer get stuck if 'killed' during its teleport animation.
The Venator Bow can now be used in Barbarian Assault.
Ricochet damage from the Venator Bow now correctly scales to 66% of the player's max hit.
The Venator Bow will now be dropped in its uncharged state if a player is killed by another player.
The Player-Owned House Dummy will now show max hits from the Venator Bow.
Players can now use Saturated Hearts while in the Bank interface.
Ancient Icons and Charged Ice can now be dropped instead of destroyed.
The Forgotten Brew now correctly gives a +10 Magic stat boost.
Frozen Caches can no longer be opened on Entrana.
Death piles from the first quest boss will now appear in a safe location.
Fixed an issue where players would become stuck if they teleported out of the Ghorrock Dungeon during the puzzle section.
Fixed a couple of typos during the quest.
[/expand] Now, onto this week’s changes!
We’ve heard your call to make the Saturated Heart tradeable, which means you’ll now be able to swap it between party members just as you would the Imbued Heart – useful if you’re planning on raiding any time soon! This also means you may be able to find one on the Grand Exchange… if you’re lucky.
Now, onto the boss themselves. The post-quest version of the Muspah now has the ‘spectral’ attribute, which means that should you slay it with the Ectoplasmator on h̶̦͙̬͇̖̰̋͋̌̉̔̏ͅḁ̴̧̦̭͈̤̠̿͆̓͌͊̔͑͊͌̂͂͐͋͝n̷͓̝̒̍͝d̷̳̭͓̟͍͍͔̠͈̭̎́͊̒̂͒͌̏͜͜, you’ll gain Prayer XP equal to 20% of its max health, rounded down.
You can see this new detail and more when using Monster Examine on the Muspah. We’ve also ensured that your Collection Log will now show that you’ve collected all the Muspah’s drops by highlighting the relevant section in green!
Finally, we’ve reduced the Alchemy value of the Venator Shard.
Although that’s everything for this week, do keep an eye out for further improvements in future, including Combat Achievements and some minor visual changes to the Ancient Sceptre!
Oh, and before we forget, here are the drop rates from the post-quest version of the boss, as per our new, t̷̗̖̬͇̄r̷̡̠̠̀́̇̈a̸̱̙̹̼͐̄̚͝ņ̷̟̼̱̞̓̆̈́s̸̥͑͑̈́̌͆p̵̯̝̻̫̦̄͒̅ä̸̘͉͙́r̸̤̯͉̿̈͐̚e̶̯͔͎͖̟̓͛̆̐͝n̸̢͉̎́̽̾͠t̵̝͙͌ approach. Enjoy!

We’re also offering brand-new rewards including an upgraded version of Thammaron’s Sceptre, two new Melee weapons, and a new Ranged weapon.

The Year of the Rabbit has begun! It's time to celebrate with new skins, a player icon, 4 new action props, more switchables, a themed prop layout and more! 🐇
(Another) Faraway Lands Update:
Faraway Lands results are just around the corner - our next patch will introduce the winning maps to our Official map pool, and we can't wait to show you the results! Previously, we aimed to have this ready in January but we just need a little more time to carefully implement the new maps. Hang tight! ⌛
6 New CNY & Valentines Skins!
As always, we've got some incredible new Chinese New Years skins, including the Water Rabbit Hat and Hair for Witch, and the Water Rabbit Head for the Hunter. We hope you love them as much as we do!
And of course, Valentines is just around the corner - collect the Blooming Rose (projectile), Dreamy Cupid's Dart (melee, colour variant), and Scarlet Rose Bouquet (broom, colour variant) through crafting or the item cauldron. 💘
How do I obtain the new Chinese New Year items?
Opening Witch It during the Chinese New Year 2023 event will grant you 20 "Fireworks"! A Firework contains a random Chinese New Years item (including CNY items from previous years), which can only be opened by combining them with "Gunpowder".
To earn Gunpowder, fill up the Item Cauldron with 250 experience points. You can see the item cauldron fill up at the end of the round, on the level up screen.
Gunpowder has a 40% chance of being earned on any Official server once the item cauldron is filled, and you can earn it on any map. If you're lucky enough to earn one, head back to the main menu and press 'Chinese New Years Event' to combine it with your Fireworks!
Every Chinese New Year 2023 item is tradable and craftable even after the event is over. If you use up all your Fireworks, you can craft more by combining 5 Gunpowder together! Note: Gunpowder can only be obtained in Official servers.
You can also receive the new items through: - Random drops from filling up the item cauldron at the end of a round. - Trading with other players (we recommend using our Discord server to find traders).
Year of the Rabbit Player Icon!
Pair up your Rabbit-themed cosmetics with this limited-time "Year of the Rabbit" player icon! Play at least one round of Witch it in an Official server during the Chinese New Year 2023 event to earn the icon, but be quick - after the event ends, it will no longer be obtainable! 🐰
4 New Action Props & More Switchables!
Prop collectors - go find four new action props that each can be activated by pressing your "prop action" button ('E' by default). Introducing the Firecracker, Bomb, Confetti Cannon and Rabbit Firework - search for them in our Official maps! 🧨
In addition, all action props (that can be activated) are now switchable in Creative Mode, meaning you can now hook up fireworks, explosives, and much more to pressure pads and levers. We can't wait to see what interesting contraptions or scenic effects you come up with!

Fixes
Mark of Control Core now has the correct Icon in the Forge. Fixed an issue where the tooltip of an item would still appear when hovering over the purchase button for gold. Adjusted the scrolling in the Battlepass window with the mouse wheel and the buttons. Milestone numbers in the Battlepass window now align with the rewards. Fixed an issue where the BXP text was hard to see when also showing Fame and XP texts.
