What you can play in this version
Detailed below is everything contained in this build in terms of features and content.
  • A complete survival game, with cold, thirst and hunger. Make a camp, survive the weather, wild animals and undead enemies.
  • Build a complete, self-reliant Viking village using bushcraft/pre-metal technology. Players will have access to the complete Tier 1 Technology Tree.
  • Organize and command AI Villagers. Build and furnish their homes, ensure they stay warm and well fed. Give your Villagers jobs, like Woodcutter, Gatherer, Stonecutter, Toolmaker, FIsherman and much more.
  • Construct Houses, resource gatherers and toolmakers. Your industries are inter-connected, allowing you to automate and optimise your village’s survival.
  • Hunt, fish and forage for food. Venison, a wide variety of fish species, and a diverse seasonal flora form the basis of your survival.
  • Fight a variety of undead enemies in skillful stamina-based 3rd person combat. Perform light and heavy attacks, combos, dodges. Includes a complete melee and ranged combat system. Use one handed and two handed weapons, shields, and bow.
  • Craft a variety of stone tools and weapons, as well as a linen outfit.
  • Explore old ruins, fight their inhabitants and obtain valuable resources.
  • Tame wolves and turn them into companion Dogs.

  • Explore a large procedurally generated world, complete with a day/night cycle, realistic weather system and seasonal vegetation.
  • Chop trees, mine rocks and gather resources from bushes

Why we are doing this

The goal of this playtest is to see early interactions with the game from people that are completely unfamiliar with the project. We want to find out:
  • what the flow is, what player instincts kick in and how they approach the game.
  • what players enjoy or dislike about the game
  • if they get stuck, bored or get absolutely hooked on a certain aspect of it.
  • what's intuitive and what isn't. Where our design holds and where it breaks.
What we're not particularly interested in is:
  • Minor balance issues
  • Minor, non-game-breaking bugs
How many players will you be selecting?
We’ll be selecting 50 more playtesters to join our existing 50. With each future test we’ll keep adding to that number.

    • Fixed "moving multiple selected animals" in the exhibit info panel not always moving the selected animals
    • Fixed Raccoons passing through scenery to interact with enrichment toys
    • Fixed an issue where animals interacting with burrows were teleported across the park
    • Removed the possibility for animals in burrows to stand idle for long periods of time
    • Fixed the navigable area heatmap not updating when the selected animal had to be reset to the habitat gate
    • Fixed an issue where animals could not enter or exit a burrow correctly
    • Fixed an issue where animals were temporarily considered escaped from their habitats, particularly when climbing

Update 42 brings the big guns in 2023! Let’s check everything out!

1. THE PROVING GROUNDS EVENT
Complete Proving Grounds levels to participate, score points and get powerful rewards in the new event dedicated to the epic PvE battle arena. The more levels and difficulties you conquer, the more points you will get. More points means that you will get closer to unlocking all event milestone prizes and rank higher in the overall players' leaderboard, allowing you to win better and better rewards based on your placement.

The event will be available as both a standard Solo event and as a Faction Solo variant, with surprises coming in the near future.

2. NEW OFFENSIVE COMMANDER ITEMS:
Four new Offensive Commander items are coming:
- Two inspired by the force of the Lunar New Year
- Two inspired by the cold-blooded Prototype Corps Renegades

Keep reading for more information about each one.

Update 42 will also bring new offensive items, armor material and a powerful general chest.

3. THE LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION
Enjoy ten days of absolutely festive fun on the World Map and at your base:
a) LUNAR DASH CHAIN EVENT: Join in the special events of the holiday season and get stunning rewards by fighting your way to the top of the leaderboard!

b) SPRING FESTIVAL MINI-GAME: Hunt the army of Pagodas all over the World Map. Gather them to get our holiday currency: Golden Coins! Exchange them with the Festive Trader (only available only during the Lunar New Year event) and he will give you exclusive prizes.

c) TWO NEW OFFENSIVE COMMANDER ITEMS
The R.A.D.A.R. Overload will improve the offensive potential of Commander Walker’s army, as well as its gathering capabilities.

The "Qīnglóng Protection" will
- Increase Armored Damage to make Commander Volsky’s tanks even stronger
- Provide random attack properties to boost his army even more


d) NEW DEFENSIVE COMMANDER SKIN
The Lunar New Year Defensive Commander Skin will give you 15% bonus Building Speed.

e) TWO NEW ADDITIONS TO THE LUNAR GEAR SET

- Weapon System
The Defensive Commander will be focused on Unit Health and Armored Damage, providing a good combination of attack and defense random properties.

4. THE PROTOTYPE CORPS RENEGADES
The Prototype Corps Renegades are bringing:
a) TWO PROTOTYPE CORPS OFFENSIVE ITEMS

The EO Targeting Supreme Item will improve:
- Maddy Kopka’s commander stats
- The attack of her units

The "Coeus" Module will provide a mix of attack and defense to boost Commander Grahn’s units.

b) TWO POWERFUL ADDITIONS TO THE PROTOTYPE CORPS GEAR SET
- Prototype Attachment implant
- Skirmish Drone Companion
Both items will improve your Modernization Speed as well as your Repair Speed.

- There were some boulder objects at around 20% that weren't loading properly but that is fixed now.

- Also tweaked the fall speed for the early platforms which start fall once you step on them.
