Striving for Light - Deventide
Improvements:
  • Fragment of Light has received a visual overhaul.



  • Reworked some glow amber particle effects.
  • Improved tooltip positioning for the pathfinder.


Bugfixes:
  • Rolling stone enemies now don't roll to the outside of the map.
  • Fixed cut off dialog for the old man world event.
  • Fixed cut off dialog for the emerald staff effect description.

Escape the Backrooms - Fancy
Wanderers, it’s time to return to the backrooms for a new expedition featuring 12 new and expanded levels, 7 new entities, and a complete overhaul of the game mechanics.

Here are some of the new levels you can explore the next time you no-clip into the backrooms:

  • Added an inventory system
  • Added a sanity system
  • Changed normal difficulty to spectate players when you die
  • Added a hard difficulty which kills every player if one player dies
  • Changed easy mode to not decrease sanity and only require one player to find the exit
  • Changed nightmare mode to decrease 1.5x sanity
  • Added the ability to reset your achievements in the settings menu

Star Singularity - Star Bunny
Hi all,
We are very happy to officially announce 0.7.5 is up on the beta!
A lot of requested features have been added and bugs fixed.
Achievements are finally here!

You can also play with controller, controlling not only the ships but the menus opening the inventory and switching to the different screen with the shoulder buttons.

We also added a fun little mini-game based on the survivor trend, it is still very much work in progress but already fun! FYI items like shields stack on top of each other, so if you get an item with lower stats it will be added on top of the other items you already have! We are going to combine this mini-game in the main game in the form of arena challenges.

Hello again Survivors!

Well holy crap, this thing has officially been released for a year! I’d say it’s hard to describe with words but the wall of text below would disagree.

To kick things off; thank you. Thank you so freaking much. It is absolutely unreal to me how much DeadPoly has grown. The amount of community feedback, suggestions, fresh ideas, and honest opinions on things I’ve added, modified, or completely reworked is legit invaluable! It’s what keeps this wheel rolling.

If all goes to plan, this will be a big year for DeadPoly. Progression systems such as leveling, perks, and skills are well underway. Questing and story development to finally start getting the brunt of the lore uncovered. Definitely continuing the never ending cycle of optimization and reworking system I built before learning newer and better ways to do things. And last but not least; just more of everything. More collectibles, more things to build, more areas to explore, new zombies to dispatch, events to conquer!

Initial work and trial runs with moving the game over to UE5 have gone well, but still quite a bit of bug fixing and general system correction before that’s ready for full release. Getting the game on to UE5 should add quite a bit of built in optimization along with a great increase in how the game looks overall, especially at larger distances because of Nanite, which I’m super stoked for.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, so I suppose I should feel flattered at how many games have released over the past few months that look like someone copied my homework.

One of the big roadblocks over the last year has been overcoming issues caused by the assets DeadPoly is built on top of. It has become painfully obvious that a lot of them were never intended to work with what we’ve built together. Reworking systems for the scale the game has grown to isn’t an easy task in general, but for me especially it has been a big learning experience. Obviously I’ve broken a lot of stuff along the way, but we’re definitely getting there!

To every single person who has played DeadPoly, even for a few minutes; you’ve literally changed my life. If it wasn’t for you, I would have only gotten a week off of work to enjoy the birth of our second child. Instead, I’m now fortunate enough to work from home and be around my family every single day. To say my mental health has improved would be a hilarious understatement.

DeadPoly’s organic growth appears like it might be starting to slow down, but I’m not going anywhere. This game is nowhere near complete, and I’m super stoked to keep on trudging forward at whatever pace is possible. Many, many more updates to come!

We are excited to announce the release of Build 1.2.0, a major update to our game that brings a number of improvements and new features to enhance your gameplay experience.

In this update, we have fixed a bug related to the UI that was causing some strange behavior when pausing the game while interacting with computers or open dialogues. This should provide a smoother and more seamless experience for our players.

We have also updated the levels to prevent players from exploiting a glitch that allowed them to jump off the scenario. This should provide a more fair and enjoyable experience for all players.

We have added a new hit mark feature, which will make it easier for players to see when they have successfully hit an enemy.

We have also added some UI improvements related to healing, which will make it easier for players to keep track of their health and manage their healing items.

Finally, we are excited to introduce a new creature that players will encounter during gameplay. This new creature will add an additional layer of challenge and excitement to the game.

LOVE 3 - TE Tomaino


LOVE 3 is one of the awesome games being done quickly at this year's Awesome Games Done Quick!

Games Done Quick is a fundraising organization that showcases the world's greatest speedrunners to raise awareness and money for various charities. Two of their more popular events, Awesome Games Done Quick during the winter, and Summer Games Done Quick, during the summer, bring together said speedrunners to broadcast games from an array of genres and generations. This January's event benefits the Prevent Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to empower "people to stay ahead of cancer through prevention and early detection." The live stream will broadcast on Twitch from January 8th-15th.

LOVE 3 will appear on AGDQ 2023 during the morning on Saturday, January 14th, EST! The run will be set as a 3-person Any% race, featuring @_charbunny, @PaulisterSR, and @Heponwana. Additionally, a donation incentive for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, if met, will allow viewers to see runners race on a BRAND NEW level made specifically for this event, which will be available afterward at http://LOVE3Custom.com.

We are honored that LOVE 3 is part of AGDQ 2023 and such a fantastic cause!

For our last update of our first year since release, we have something special in store for you. For a limited time, Henning373's new campaign, Array Containment, is temporarily baked into the game for all players, Steam and Xbox. You don't need to access is using the Workshop (although you should, because there are some amazing mods in there already). We're hoping to get a ton of feedback fro Henning373 between now and the next patch release, so head over to the Stray Bombay Discord and hit the #mod-feedback channel to leave a comment!

We've also added a new Weekly Challenge, which should be live by the time you read this. It's This Is Fine, which gives an eponymous title to anyone who successfully completes it. The challenge is straightforward--there are a lot of matter compilers, but they're all broken and summon hordes when you trigger them, there are a lot more flaming goopers, and all the airlock doors are broken. Enjoy!

We took advantage of the second patch this week to add a couple more matchmaking adjustments and some other small perf fixes.

As we close on our first year since our Early Access release, we're really grateful to everyone in the community who has played the game, given us feedback or suggestions, left reviews, or played games with us on the Discord.
