A new year a new update 🎇. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and you are ready to shine in 2023. This update won’t be particularly long but despite the holidays, the Acodeon team brought you a new update for Chaos on Wheels. Another two maps are set and ready for Early Access.

VILLAGE REWORK
The mission for upgrading our maps is still going. This time, Village got reworked upside-down 🙃. We decided to make a brand new layout for the Village and we did it. With a new layout, the map feels more natural.. just a small innocent village surrounded by a green environment. Described in 2 words – small and peaceful. But not anymore. Helios is there and chaos came with him. It is on you now to bring peace once again.

ABANDONED RACE TRACK
To be honest, Abandoned Race Track was looking too “clean” to be called abandoned. Now when her time came for the polish, we ruined her 😜. The atmosphere of the map now gives a more “abandoned” vibe. Dirty road, garbage on the ground, old barrels everywhere, tall grass, and of course Helios’s army.
“Long forgotten place for car lovers now collects rust and dust. It might be abandoned but it is far from a safe place.”

This updated focused a lot on getting the controls worked out, specifically for game controllers. Now it has more of a Gears of War feel with the button layout. By default now you can run by holding the lower gamepad button (A button on an Xbox controller) and roll by tapping it. The jump button has been moved to the left bumper.
I felt this feels better and allows for smoother gameplay.
Other changes:
-The aim sensitivity adjusts when you aim weapons. This really helps for those using controllers. -The old farmer that races the horse was bugged (surprised nobody said anything). He was evil for some reason and would try to kill the player the first time you entered the map. This has been fixed. -Sun rotation and shadows were bugging out when map traveled. -Added some more uses for TNT, there are some rocks you can blow up and get treasures. -Tonic stacks now
when you reach 105% game play, you will unlock new secret level inside Cat cave, if you find all platinum chickens, you will turn golden chicken into platinum
Improved matching system. -Added casual matches with no increase or decrease in tier. Added the ability to detect tiers up to +/- 2 tiers closer to each other.
Expanded training mode. -Added a tool function.
Added the ability to tie a bring-your-own speca. Add new titles. Added a limited number of titles (from the store) Fixed other bugs.
I will test the new features and then fix the bugs in the new features and the bugs that were not fixed, and update the character adjustments in the next update
This update fixes a few issues left after the December content update that were either too serious to leave until the next content update (likely in February) or were very easy to fix.
Your existing savegames will be compatible with the updated game, but some of the update's fixes may not retroactively correct certain problems in existing saves; this normally happens when the problem is inherent to data created at the start of the save.
Changes:
fixed potential game freeze in leagues that use shootouts (after overtime) to resolve playoff games
fixed potential issue that could cause quickstart-created games to crash near the end of the setup procedure
editing a team that is not in the top-level league in a custom game will no longer result in it losing its current farm team/reserve list
players who play on in the new historical Challenge Cup and Rendez-Vous 87 tournaments no longer get stuck on INT status after the tournament is over
fixed issue that could cause a crash when particular national teams are present in an international tournament
the "Frozen Four" achievement no longer happens regardless of whether or not the user is controlling one of the four teams that make it
the "Zero to Hero" achievement (winning a championship after finishing last the previous season) will no longer trigger for some teams that didn't finish last in the previous year
if a historical team is imported into a custom game, their retired/honoured numbers will no longer be set (they wouldn't import properly due to the correct player records being missing in the custom game, and trying to import them was leading to several odd issues with the retired/honoured numbers)
during the national signing day draft, it's no longer possible to nominate via right-click players who've already signed
edited arena data is no longer re-set to their pre-edit values on the following July 1
AI will no longer occasionally overrule a human choice not to compete for a player on National Signing Day
autoplay no longer skips over the NCAA draft-type events
during the national signing day draft, some players will no longer fail to appear on the draft's Commitments tab despite having verbally committed to the team previously
if the waiver draft is active for a league, new expansion teams are now seeded first rather than last
walk-on players are now being generated properly if no real players are eligible to walk on
in historical games started in 2021, attempting to switch the league to one of the nonplayable generic leagues will no longer cause a crash
Norwegian promotion now works properly if a second-division team wins the finishes first or second in the relegation tournament
loser of the German second league relegation tournament is now relegated properly
it's no longer possible to for the user to manually dress more than 2 goalies; if there are currently 2 goalies dressed clicking on a third one shouldn't dress him until one of the others is scratched
if a user attempts to negotiate with some Russian players and the player eventually gets tired of the offer, they no longer respond as if they were discussing a KHL buyout
adjusted message titles when staff contracts expire to avoid misleading descriptions
Fixed an issue where Kitty had some issue using the echo
Fixed an issue where the record of playing (High Score etc) was not being saved after ending the game.
Fixed an issue where Ohiki status was not showing the correctly.
Fixed an issue where you can select a stage that is not existing in the game, and causing the game to freeze.
We are very sorry for the delay on fixing these critical bug and causing you guys a big trouble.

[Important] This update is implemented only in the testing version (Alpha) of our game and will not be synchronized to stable release version (steam default one) until it is stable enough. If you want to experience new contents in advance, you can manually switch the game to Alpha version as describe below.
Spring Festival Events:
Added a Wonder Building— Rui Beast Plaza. Consume Fireworks to temporarily relieve Citizen Stress and gain Spring Festival special items.
Added a Blueprint— Fireworks (lighting too many fireworks at the same time may cause lag).
Added Spring Festival special random events.
Added the recipes for Rice Cakes and Glue Pudding in Mills and Water Mills.
Added the recipe for Dumplings in Gourmet Shops.
Added the recipe for Fireworks in Fuel Factories.
Added Spring Festival decorations to the model of Houses and Marketplaces.

Feature Adjustments:
Added a Hotkey for left and right switch button in the Building interface. The Hotkey will not be able to use when it's occupied by custom Hotkeys.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed the problem that citizens are not be able to use the Beverages and Food in the Backpacks.
Fixed the missing information in the bottom left corner when citizens died accidentally.
Fixed some text errors.

Guides of switching to Alpha version:
Switching Method Right-click Survival Settlement in the Steam LIBRARY, select 👉Properties - 👉BETAS, and choose the game version👉(alpha) you want to participate. No need to fill in any code and the game will switch to the version of your choice after closing the window. (In some cases the game may need update and Steam restart.)
Game Saves Compatibility In cases of major content changes or new contents, game save file in Alpha and stable version may not be compatible. We will try to avoid this situation as much as possible and will post a notice about save file usage in advance if necessary.
Warning In Alpha version, you may come across more bugs or crashes. No need to panic. Just contact us through the following ways.
