< Changes/Fixes > - Nexon Game Security (NGS) Version Update
During the last demo we summarized and analyzed all the feedback received and tried to implement the most demanded features. As we always say, our priority is to deliver the best possible version of HTN, and that could only be possible with your feedback.
This has lead to several improvements and HtN gameplay has been greatly improved regarding Vesper control and combat imput. Here's a summary of our progress after the last demo trial on Steam:
-New controls for keyboard/mouse based on feedback, now you can play using the mouse to choose where you want to hit.
-Improved the combat system. Now all of the combos of each weapon can be 'skipped' with a dash from a specific frame.
-Improved the operation of the combos in general according to the improvement of the combat system.
-Completely redesigned the options menu and implementation of new options based on feedback: Resolution, hide warning of low health and brightness, among other HUD improvements.
-We have unified the entire graphical interface of the game according to the redesign of the options menu.
-Improved the main menu to be more consistent with the game art.
-Complete new implementation of the save system: Implementation of save slots. There are up to five save slots operational.
-Fixed several inventory bugs.
-Implementation of recolors for every weapon and combat suit.
NEW GAME MODES: NEW GAME +AND NIGHTMARE MODE
New game + will allow players to complete the game in a higher difficulty from the very beginning. Both enemies and bosses will have extra health and cause more damage. This mode will be unlocked after completing the regular game mode.
Nightmare mode will be unlocked after the first playthrough too, but the challenge will be much higher. Enemies and bosses will insta kill Vesper when damaging her and will also have extra health, like in the New game + mode.
NEW GAME MODE: PRIME HUNTS
One of the most common feedback that we have was that the Prime hunt mode was really fun. The prime hunt mode was created as a test to check if there was interest on it, that's why was available during the demo.
As a reminder, the Prime hunt mode is a special feature that allows you to hunt already beated bosses during the game, but they will present a more demanding challenge. You will have a limit amount of resources to create your build (by buying equipment and dark powers from the vendor) or the build you consider best to hunt that particular boss. The hunt will be timed and your best time for each boss will be desplayed in the Prime Hunt menu.
After the Steam demo feedback we decided to fully implement it, and it will be present in the game.
Implementations and game modes took extra time but we belive that, in the end, they will pay off and improve the game, making it more complex, replayable and, in general, a better game.
This has been our focus during the whole development, to create a game that you could be proud of had backed from the very beginning. Thanks to you now is bigger and better. World, gameplay, game modes, pixel art, languages, combat suits and weapons, bosses, enemies and several other things have move in the right direction thanks to your feedback and support.
Breaching charges can now be thrown, they simply felt too weak and useless when you had to get up to melee range to plant. This allows them to be used in a more hit and run style and also allows breaching upper walls
Jump pads now launch you higher and protect you from a single instance of fall damage after using one
The blowtorch can now damage human targets, this makes it so if you get caught in a pinch you can charge the enemy down and melt them instead of having to swap to something else
Removed the scouts buggy combat roll ability and changed it to a powered sprint
Added 2 new gun mods to the groza LMG
Tweaked turret material costs a bit, most of them now cost some voltics
Demolisher now has 125 armor to compensate for losing his damage absorbtion
Demolisher & Assault have lower health regen delays
UI Changes
Improved gun factory UI to make it clear what weapons can be modified
You are now alerted when somebody is attacking your base
Fixes
Gun factories should no longer get weapons stuck inside them, you also have to be looking at one of their screens to build a gun
Player cosmetic items should no longer glitch out and float in midair if they spawned too far away from you
This update list shows only relevant things that might be interesting for the user.
This update may contain issues, especially the farming system and the new map overview. There may be overlapping key assignments, but I hope I found all the possibilities of key overlaps.
As of now, multiplayer play should run better in terms of hitting items. Other fixes are also included.
If you find any problems, please report them to me. This is the only way I can fix problems faster and improve the game.
Important: - Remember that healing, eating and drinking are not so simple anymore. You have to take your food in your hand now and keep the mouse button pressed.
- At the moment some texts are not correct, e.g. you can't break stones with the axe anymore. The info says that this is possible, this text still needs to be revised.
- The map overview, here will be replaced in an upcoming update, the graphics of the map. At the moment, you can still see the old graphic.
- In the next updates, the map will be blacked out, so users will have to explore the map to discover places. This will reveal the areas of the map. The preparations for this have already been made.
Fixes - Other problems fixed - Hitting issues in multiplayer mode have now been fixed, teammates were having problems hitting items. - Mutant Bear / Problem with getting Dead EP fixed. From now on, you get the EP immediately after the animal dies. Previously, you got the EP only after you took all the meat and the mutant bear disappeared. - The Dead EP has been changed for all animals, from now on you will also receive the EP immediately for these animals. - Fixed sound bug in world music. - Inventory bug / Free mode activated when pressing the Enter key and did not let the character move. This has now been fixed. - Streetlights and Oil Lamps caused performance issues at night with a loss of up to 50 FPS. Now some improvements have been made, so you should no longer notice FPS losses. - Bullets while shooting caused damage to your own character in some cases. - Animals Activated help indicator, from items and lootboxes. This has now been fixed.

The food is now executed by selecting it and holding down the mouse button. If you eat an apple, the animation is very short, but if you eat a soup, the animation is longer.

We hope everyone had a relaxing holiday season surrounded by friends and family. The MSFS team has returned from holiday and are now once again hard at work to bring you tonnes of great flight sim content in 2023. Coming up first is Aircraft & Avionics Update 1 (AAU1), which is currently in public beta testing with a full release planned for later in January. Yesterday, we deployed a new build to beta testers; you can see the release notes here.
AAU1 is the first of several updates scheduled for 2023. We have already revealed some of our plans in the 2023 development roadmap, including the next World Update (New Zealand). We also have a few surprises in store for later in the year, so stay tuned for more information about those!
