After the holidays, we want to give you an update on what we are working on this week and what will be the next steps we are taking to resolve known issues with the game.
Week Dec 26th - Jan 1st: Our QA team (quality assurance team) went through your feedback and based on that intensified further testing on the servers, also by playing games with the community. We were able to retrace reported issues and forwarded them to our development team. The main issues we saw mostly related to handing over turns, both to other clients and/or with the AI not properly replacing other users.
That is causing further consequential errors you are experiencing. We also tracked other issues in online games, especially in the setup phase of games. All these are being addressed with the highest priority by the dev team.
Week Jan 2nd - Jan 8th: The dev team is back at full strength to keep on working on the above-mentioned issues. It is our highest priority to make online games as enjoyable to you as they have been. The team knows what systems they will work on to resolve these issues thanks to the work of the QA team and your continued feedback.
Another reported issue (especially by iOS users, who had to log in again after switching between apps) is one symptom of online games not restarting as intended when a player is shortly disconnecting from the servers. This is due to ported “old” code not working as intended and expected on the new infrastructure. We will continue to adapt or rewrite existing code for fixing this and other issues. We are confident that once these core issues are resolved, we will see significant progress in improving of the online gaming service.
We are personally very disappointed that despite all of our efforts in the last months, we were and are facing unforeseen issues with components that are not performing as expected on the new platform. Regrettably, these were not foreseeable and/or we were not able to replicate them on the test systems, as they are limited to the live environment.
We are committed to working on resolving these issues as soon as possible and ask for your understanding that the core team is absolutely focused on this and we will limit most interaction via social media on identifying and resolving bugs for the time being.
As always, we want to thank you for your patience and constructive feedback.
We also want to encourage those of you who might be missing in-app purchases after the migration to reach out to our support team (support@catanuniverse.com). We will find solutions for these sorts of issues together!
Make sure to backup your current bot folder before updating it. There are some blocks that will probably break, especially the Audio Player ones. If you need to get and use the old bot files, use the new branch called "previous-bot-version-djs12-deprecated" by going to Properties -> Betas on Steam.
Notes:
Intents
There is a new optional file (you can delete it and the bot will use the default value), called "INTENTS.txt", located in "data" folder, to change the Intents of your bot. You can use this calculator and copy and paste your Intents value in that file. Make sure your Privileged Intents are right at https://discord.com/developers/applications or your bot won't run. If you don't know what to select, leave all options selected, although it is a bad practice:
Sharding
You can try to run your bot with Sharding by going to your new bot folder and run the "Start Sharding.bat" file. Make sure to have the "sharding.js" file in your bot folder:

Experience two fantastical centuries of expansions and combat in Paper Tales. Remodel your assorted assembly of characters, units, and buildings in each period based on your developments and the age of your heroes. Write a new legend of the rightful ruler who brought unity to the rival kingdoms.
In more detail, Paper Tales is a simultaneous drafting card game. Each turn, players draft five units that they then recruit into their kingdom — assuming that they can pay. These choices determine the players' ability to shine in battle, generate great income, construct dominant buildings, and earn legend points. There are only four hiring positions available during the four rounds of the play, but your units grow older with each turn until time takes them away.
Build a comprehensive strategy and adapt the shape of your realm according to opportunities and restrictions and you will make history!
The wait has been long but it's not long now, the second chapter of EVERING is very close: January 11th!
Echoes from the Circle will take you to discover the next episode in the journey of Eldar and his companions, crossing borders, visiting new locations and meeting new and charismatic characters.
This new chapter adds 7-8 hours of content, reaching a total of 12-14 hours!
We've also made a lot of changes, some small and some big, that we hope will improve your game experience. For example, we've completely revamped Lue's magic system - magics level up with use and new, more powerful magics will be learned when they reach level 3, and Jövla now learns skills when equipping new weapons.
It'll be possible to change the game language at any time (English/Spanish) from the main menu (it's necessary to restart the game for the change to take effect). For the rest of the changes made, take a look at the changelog that we'll publish when the game is updated.
Unfortunately, due to the extensive changes to the magic system and translation, it won't be possible to continue a previous save file. Our intention was always to make it possible to keep and continue saved games but, in order to make a better game, we had to make this difficult decision.
As compensation, we've included a chapter selector when starting a new game. By selecting Chapter II, you will travel directly to the new content, with the most convenient level, equipment, items and skills. It also starts with a brief summary of the events to refresh your memory.
Finally, we would like to apologize for the delay. As you may know, Purpure Studio is a team of just 2 and at the moment game development is not our main source of income. This, added to the day to day problems have made that this second chapter to be delayed more than we would have liked.
As always, you can follow the progress of EVERING by following us on Twitter.
All those of you who were unable to read the text when picking up a Schabernack Doll: try again, please!
And sorry for this inconvenience.. .. that was an awkward bug which only came with the update today.
Hence I got a little hint for you: If you wanna collect as many dolls as fast as possible, then wait till you reach the Waterlock and always choose "Thumbs Up". At the cave you are always going to find many dolls easily.
A quick hotfix, fixing the player 3 and player 4 instant exploding when trying to start a new game.
Also; workshop maps should now be available again, but you might need to refresh and convert!
Changelog: - Changed how map borders, floor types, and weather stuff are stored (more efficient), so if you notice anything weird with loading/playing a map, please report it - Fixed artboard becoming unusable on low graphics - Fixed old maps are shown at bottom of the map list - No more mass error spam - Debris from explosions doesn't change to brown tank when falling on the floor - Player 3 and 4 , should not blow up anymore
All the realm is abrim with excitement in anticipation of the new year, and indeed, the sounds of merriment can be heard nowhere more strongly than in the streets of Limsa Lominsa, where delegates from the Far East have arrived in hopes of sharing their festive traditions. The usagi bugyo would have your aid in ensuring the celebration of Heavensturn is a success, and has prepared a handsome reward should you be willing to offer it.
