December update: 2 new fishes and a new plant!

At this special time of the year, we want to wish you all the fishtastic things you have ever dreamed of. A new car, a journey to a faraway land, a new fish species in your tank, or maybe simply a lot of good time with family by your side. Let this upcoming 2023 year bring you all a lot of joy, love, and satisfaction.

Remember all those Steam Discussions where we asked you about the fish and plants you want to see in the game? Well, here's proof we're here to make your dreams come true. In the December update, we've added 2 new freshwater fish: Black Moor Goldfish (Carassius auratus) and Pearl Gourami (Trichopodus leerii), and a new freshwater plant - Lobelia cardinalis (the underwater kind, of course).
We're hoping you will enjoy them as we're approaching a New Year, full of possibilities and hopes. And plenty more updates from the Aquarium Designer. We also have some DLCs in waiting - you can try guessing their themes in the comments below!

Community Update: Trees Planting

Hello everyone,

Long time no see, happy new year to you all in advance!

Sorry for the late of the community content update because of some irresistible facts. But you don’t have to worry, because now we are back on track. We’ll keep developing and release more information about the game in time! Of course, we have some announcements today.

Characters introduction

Lori runs a grocery store for the town mayor. She is so lazy that she hates trouble more than anyone else. As the youngest girl in the town, she always acts like a kid around other people.

Sakona is a blacksmith in this town. She doesn’t talk much and she rarely interacts wiht anyone, making her a mysterious girl.

Rhode runs the ranch of this town. He is a notorious profiteer. The town folks complain about him all the time. Having a strong passion for animals, he is well versed in the subject of animal physical and mental health.

Trees planting introduction

If there is something indispensable for The Prairie Town, that must be various kinds of trees! For the town, these trees could bring beautiful environments, provide useful materials and bear delicious fruits.

Material trees: Black obsidian tree & Crystal tree

It’s interesting that trees growing situation varies in different area.

[In the town] Oak trees mostly, these trees have been cut will restore as original over a night.

[Back Hill] Abundant material trees and fruit trees grow here. Refreshing corresponding fruit trees according to the season. New trees will grow in several days after they have been cut and the stumps are destroyed or dug out, but there will be no new trees if the stumps are kept.

[Orchard] Fruit trees mostly, corresponding fruit trees will be found in different season. The growth situation is same as the Back Hill, if the fruit trees need to be refreshed, just destroy or dig out the stumps.

[Farm] Oak trees mostly, but a few fruit trees could also be found. Trees are no longer refreshed after being cut. But any kind of saplings can be planted in this area!

Fruit trees: Apple tree & Durian tree

Actually, it’s very easy to plant trees and it only requires four steps! Find a sapling, choose a good spot, plant the sapling, and wait for it to grow up!

I know what are you thinking about right now: How to acquire a sapling? One way is to dig out the stump, there is a high probability of getting plantable saplings when digging out stumps.

There are three stages in trees growing: Sapling stage, treelet stage and mature stage. Besides, fruit trees have a fruiting stage.

Oak tree’s growth process

Speaking of fruit trees, they can be planted in any season, but only bear fruits in corresponding season. And there is a special condition about fruit trees, which is putting a sapling of fruit trees into the Tree Grower. And an improved sapling can be acquired next day.

The improved fruit trees are shorter and more fragile. They will die directly and remain no stumps after the deadly attack. But the good news is these improved fruit trees can bear more stable number of fruits than the common.

Updates notes for 30 December 2022

Land of Towers Playtest - 2devigames

Added freezing mode for items - pick up an item and hold the trigger. To cancel the freeze mode - grab the item and hold the trigger again.
Added feature last tool. Hold down the A button (right controller) and then hold down the side button. You will have the tool that you used the last time in your hands.
Added feature last inventory item. Hold down the X button (left controller) and then hold down the side button. You will have in your hands the item that you took the last time from the inventory.
Staples have been added - now it has become easier to attach objects to each other.
Large logs, sawhorses and squares have been added.
