The final boss is in! For the first time ever you can (technically) complete the game! Ok cards on the table it's a bit rough, but it's all coming together quickly so we'll have more updates soon! Other than that, lots of tweaks throughout, massaging the new environments in and more adjusting of all the gold-rank difficulties.
We hope you're having a great time and ready to celebrate the festive season! We've managed to come up with a refined update to improve your gaming experience as much as we can. This update includes the following features:
-Optimize first-time loading time, especially for non-SSD drives. - Fixed loading stuck issues. - Improved game performance with increased frame rate. - Refined writing on weapons, quest items and skills descriptions. - Refined dialogue from the important NPC Eztli. - Skill balanced on lightning drone. - Added loading frame for the first time activating a totem.
To achieve this, we have taken significant time to rework the enemy data. We understand there is still space for us to improve, and we’ll make it happen gradually.
Unfortunately, due to the limited time, we weren't able to release any content updates.

We've been hard at work this month working with our wonderful new 3D artists creating a bunch of new "hero props" for the upcoming Hangar Zone, which will be featured as the starting zone for players and introduction into the world of SCP: Fragmented Minds. It's also our pleasure to announce that we officially have a development build of the game that is currently being internally playtested to ensure the newly created experimental saving and loading systems are rock solid, as well as implementing the new AI and animations for both variations of SCP-3199 and continuing to build out the Level One map!
New 3D "Hero" Environmental Assets and Props:
Our new 3D artists have been doing some great work during their first month, and we have some new assets to show off that'll be populating the world. These include the new heavy HVAC system, Sector Generator Unit, and some various tools which include a special new melee weapon!
We are excited to begin working on starting the next area of Level One, and working with our amazing new artists! You'll start to see updates posted here for the newly finished Hangar Zone once the texturing process is nearing completion. However, these new props and assets will be large pieces in these zones and will also be seen throughout the level, so we wanted to ensure extra detail was put into them for player interactions/puzzles.
SCP-3199 Elder Animations and AI:
One of the main points of feedback we got from the demo was that AI needed to feel a bit more robust in certain situations, as well as needing the ability to be a threat to players on elevated surfaces. We have since gone back to the drawing board completely with the core AI system and have begun experimenting with a totally new and unique AI controller.
The Elder SCP-3199 Variant is a special version of this creature that will feature this new AI, as well as a "ram" mechanic which will be incredibly devastating if you allow it to hit you or something you are standing on.
The creature also now has the ability to actually move and impact game objects and props which means that most areas that it can ram can be toppled over and expose you to a close-range attack!
The SCP-3199 Hatchling is getting an upgrade too in the form of a "special attack" that only some instances of it can do when in a group. This will be revealed in a future update once the AI mechanic and animation for it are completed, so stay tuned for that update once we have it ready!
December Plans:
The rest of this month we will be finishing the Hangar Zone and moving on to the zones past it, as well as starting to get the brand-new player model created. We will also be getting more props made to fill in these larger environments and continuing to work on SCP-3199's AI and attack animations until we have its full set totally complete. There are also some adjustments we are making to the player movement system and you can expect some overhauls to be made to how the running and general movement animations play to feel much more fluid and better overall. UI enhancements are being worked on currently too, which will be used to polish the welding and hacking mechanics and the animations associated with welding will be started as well.
We are incredibly eager to continue working on Level One and we will be posting more updates about the AI and SCP-3199 and some other NEW SCPs and gameplay mechanics that we are working on in a future update.

We're currently setting up a new hub website for fans of SCP games and media to have a unified spot to learn about what's new in SCP and to discover new projects being worked around the SCP Universe. The website is currently being upgraded with a complete forum for players and fans to ask questions, share things they love from SCP and have a great place to just chat about SCP in general!

It’s been a massive year! At the beginning of 2022, World Boss was officially announced to the public by LazarBeam and Fresh. A month before launch, we gave our amazing community the opportunity to jump in early and then in October we successfully launched into Early Access. Now, as we approach the end of the year, we want to look back at the year that was and look towards the future.
Naturally, we want to give a massive shout out to LazarBeam and Fresh. This game could not have come to life in the way that it has without our two superstars and we can’t wait to continue the work we have planned. To be able to create a game with two of Australia's biggest content creators has been an amazing collaborative experience and our vision of creating a unique FPS for the gaming community has exploded into something really special.
Thank you to all of the community who have joined us along our development journey, through to the launch of Early Access, and beyond. The eagerness to play World Boss has been awesome to see and we love watching everyone battle it out for the Crown!
Since the start of Early Access, we have seen Gladiators jump in the game, playing over 100k hours and deleting a whopping 420k enemies in their quest for the World Boss crown. It looks like the Assault Rifle is the weapon of choice and a crowd favourite, is it yours?
Version 0.1.4 was our final Update for the year, but we have plenty planned for our next release early in 2023. We are aware that there have been some stability issues that could potentially impact gameplay, but rest assured our team are currently working towards fixes for these and more.
Over the next two weeks, our legendary dev team will be taking a break over the holidays to recharge and come back refreshed in early January and ready to make World Boss even better! Don’t worry though, the servers will still be up over the holidays and a limited crew will be working in case any issues may arise, so you can continue to hone your skills and get those sweet deletions.
We’re working on some really exciting content that is currently under lock and key, but we can’t wait to share more with you when we can… To tide you over, here’s a sneak peek of what’s coming in 2023!

News features: 1. New Economy tab in Info section, where you can see "balance sheet" of your incomes and expenses 2. Possibility to choose minimum turns between miracles for each new game you play (standard limit, double, triple)
Changes in rules: 1. More forgiving finances: slightly cheaper early- and mid-game armies, Mathematics now provides Gold bonus, Gold yielding buildings (Market, Railroad, Airport) provide more Gold (their default Gold yield offsets their maintenance cost) 2. Strength of monsters (at their creation) increases each turn by 1. So if you create a monster in turn 20 on average it's strength will be 52, but if you create it in turn 50 it will be 82. This makes monsters more useful later in the game, when standard armies are more powerful. The strength of monsters does NOT change after they are created. THESE RULES CHANGES WILL IMPACT ONLY NEW GAMES. Rules of all saved games are embedded in the files of the games, and are not impacted by changing rules for new games.
