To get one Mark of distinction for a tanker/pilot/sailor, earn 40,000 mission points in random battles in rank III or higher (from rank I for event vehicles) in the corresponding vehicle type with the corresponding game mode. Points multiplier that varies based on vehicle rank and difficulty level is stated in the task description. The tasks are all the same and are renewed every two days at 11:00 GMT.

Missed Marks of distinction can be purchased for Golden Eagles until January 12th without completing the tasks. You can do that in the menu “Nickname → Achievements → Winter Quest → Tasks for tankers/pilots/sailors.

A unique opportunity to obtain items from past winter events! From December the 20th until January the 9th - the “Ice Chest” and its “Almighty Key” will be available for purchase in the item Store. The “Ice Chest” will bring you unique decals, decorations, vehicles and camouflages from all past War Thunder winter events. Some items from past events appear as coupons for the first time and you will be able to trade them on the Market! Also you can find Silver Lions, boosters, universal backups, wagers and orders.

• The exact terms of each task can be found in the “Nickname → Achievements → Winter Quest” window.
  
• To get a Mark of distinction, you need to complete a task in the corresponding vehicle type in the corresponding game mode. For example, a Mark of distinction for a pilot can be received only by playing Air battles (AB/RB/SB).
  
• You can complete the tasks in multiplayer battles in all game modes except for “Assault”.
  
• You can complete the tasks not only in vehicles of Rank III and above, but also in lower rank event vehicles. You could receive those in large events such as winter and summer marathons, WWII chronicles, BP seasons and craft marathons. Already 1 year since the release of Mon Bazou, it all started has a fun project with not much to do in it to grow way bigger along with that awesome community! Thanks everyone for playing my game. I consider myself very lucky to be able to develop my game full time since a couple of months already.

Now for the future, there is 2 big updates coming:

• First I want to make the OlTruck customizable similar to the Konig (But with less parts)
  
• Second it's the FWD project car named Prinz, it will start has a bare-bone project

Along with these updates I want to make the steering wheels works good (Especially Fanatec) and make the system more robust.

We welcomed many new Einherjar by launching on both Xbox and Nintendo Switch this year, meaning that Tribes of Midgard is now available just about everywhere.

As always, we want to thank our beloved community (that's you). We've been looking closely into all of your feedback and accomplishments in the game - like this 30 minute speedrun (wow)!



This year, our Midguardians Community Program also reached over 12,000 members, with over 30,000 rewards redeemed.



We celebrated our first anniversary together, and released our biggest update by far - the Inferno Saga, with its entirely rebuilt Survival Mode, among many other additions. We also had 2 returning events: Valhalloween and Yulidays.

Our new studio is finally furnished, and our team of 41 is now enjoying the benefits of fully flexible working from here or home. What a year! And we aren't stopping anytime soon - let's get into what's coming next.


We’ll say it here first - 2023 will start off with a new, free, major Saga update to Tribes of Midgard! A new Saga means a new Ancient, and new content, but also, plenty of surprises across both Game Modes.

Here are a few sneak peeks for you.


What is Viking life without a little farming? With your new Shovel, you’ll be able to plant Essences anywhere in Midgard, and then reap the benefits of your bountiful harvest. That includes growing Vegetables used for new Meals, but also Garnet and Iron. It’s magic!




In Survival, players will now be able to find a Sapling per biome, offshoots of Yggdrasil where bases can be built around to benefit from its aura. But, it also triggers enemy attacks to put your defenses to the challenge and earn extra rewards.




Last October, we increased the Construction amount limit based on your feedback. We've now also increased the building height limit from 5 storeys to 9, so you can build your very own 3-story Treehouse.



And this is just one of the dozens of improvements brought to Construction Mode, with others including a handy "undo" button, see-through effects to choose from and landscaping to remove unwanted resources after placing a piece.


Yup. And they level up!


Our next update will bring over 30 Quality of Life improvements, and most of them are inspired directly from our community. Let me list off just a couple…

• A brand new potion, Mimir's Water, allows you to reset your Class and Blessings. Get that theory crafting going, speedrunners!
  
  
  
  
• Challenges can now be tracked and redeemed in-game. No need to return to the Main Menu!
  
  
  
  
• Cosmetics constructions allow you to swap your best costumes and bring your cutest pets along!
  
  
  
  
• Moderation options were added to allow kicking players, but also to trigger votes in Saga Mode to encourage fair play.
  
  
  
  
• Last but not least, Chat history is now available with time stamps!

We are trying out a different approach with this patch! The first version is barebones and just introduces the base concept: The Botanist specialist that unlocks parks, plants and flowers to build. These plants don't do anything yet, and are currently free to place to prettify the town.

Seeing what everyone creates with them will lead the design forward. We'll drop frequent updates to the branch. Testing out things like large trees that take up more decoration space, beauty score which ups morale, and more. We'll pivot the priorities depending on what everyone likes and wishes to see happen for decoration going forward.

It's in a very early stage so it will only be available on experimental until we get it to where we want it to be.

This patch is still in development and can be tested on the experimental branch to give feedback.

This is how you can enable the experimental branch of Flotsam. This will only work when you're not in a game:
1. Open Steam Library
2. Right click Flotsam
3. Select Properties
4. Go to tab 'Betas' at the top.
5. Select 'Experimental' in the drop-down.

• New constructions: Parks in various grid sizes.
  
• New decorations: Various new Plants: Sunflowers, Ficus, Flowerbushes, Moneyplants, Monstera, Plantbushes.
  
• You can now place decorations on decoration slots. The park holds decoration slots equal to it's grid size. Decorations have no gameplay impact yet.
  
• New constructions: Grassy Walkways. It has no gameplay impact yet.
  
• New Specialist: The Botanist. The Botanist currently only unlocks the new constructions and acts as a regular drifter.

• Fixed issue with energy producers not unloading correctly, keeping floaty drifters in the scenes even when loading a new game.
  
• Fixed issues with pathfinding targets that didn't have the correct type.
  
• Various fixes and changes to error logs to more properly debug log files in the future.
  
• Fixed issue with some of the pathfinding targets not referenced correctly.
  
• Fixed issue that would have drifters idle on landmarks for a while when loading a game.
  
• Cleanup of older scripts.

• Now, the quest to decorate the tree is given when you meet Ace.
  
• We have fixed a bug that caused that the customers could overlap with the tables when giving them a mop hit.
  
• We have fixed a bug that caused that the bar worker didn't attend some customers.
  
• We have fixed a bug that caused a crash if a room was given to a customer when it was being cleaned.
  
• We have fixed several graphical bugs in objects in the new zone.
  
• We have fixed several graphical bugs in the snow detail.
  
• We have fixed a loading bug that loaded several crops in the same position.
