Dear Stormworkers,

This week is announcement week, with the new Christmas minor update due out next week!

Christmas mode has already activated in Stormworks! During the holiday period, there is a time-activated winter wonderland mode where rain always appears as snow, trees are the snow type, and some locations have seasonal decorations.



Next week, this will be further enhanced by many of the animals joining the fun with their own decorations! These cosmetic changes are just a bit of fun, but next weeks update also includes lots of fixes and improvements which are worth checking out.

On 6th January, we are also planning a multiplayer optimization update which we expect to be a big improvement for a lot of players.



We are excited about sharing the next few minor updates, and are deep into work on the upcoming major updates!

We asked for player feedback on what is most desired for upcoming major updates a month or so back. Thanks to all the players who gave their feedback, this has been really useful and we have some great updates in the works.

Hello there, Kenshi fans! We hope the holiday season has been treating you well so far! Temperatures over here in the UK have dropped faster than our health in acid rain, does anyone know how well crab shoes hold up in the snow?

Before this year comes to an end, we wanted to share another Community Spotlight video, and let you know about our advent calendar! 

We are constantly blown away by the artists, modders and virtual photographers among the community and what they share with us. Here’s another round-up of what we’ve shared recently! 




We’re a little way into our advent calendar of daily Kenshi trivia and wallpaper giveaways. If you’ve not had the chance to have a look then head over to one of our social media website profile type thingymawotsits. If you don’t have Myspace then I guess we might be able to compile them into a post in the new year, if you behave yourselves.

We have some pretty cool people working on Kenshi 2! 






We know a lot of veterans of the game have been playing earlier incarnations of Kenshi for much longer than that, with March 20th 2013 being the first release of Kenshi on Steam Early Access. But the official Steam release wasn’t until 6th December 2018, so we’d like to raise a glass to commemorate Kenshi’s fourth real birthday, and to say thank you to all those that have been with us before and after Kenshi 1.0. 
We would love to hear in the comments what your favourite memories of Kenshi have been over the last 4 years.

It has come to our attention that something, or, someone has been causing mischief in Dreamlight Valley. Green flashes of color have been seen in the sky, and villagers’ left socks have gone missing from their homes!



Please make sure to pick up any socks you find laying about your Village. In addition to missing socks littering the Valley, it also appears that someone has left what looks like a vehicle unlawfully parked on Dazzle Beach.



Donald Duck is leading the investigation into this strange disturbance - if you have any information (or have found any of the missing socks) make sure to contact him immediately! Note that you will need to be friends with Donald so that he can trust you enough with the details of this investigation.

If you’ve already stepped up to help, remember that investigations can take some time, and you may need to wait a few days in between each new quest to further unravel the mystery in the Valley!
