Mega Updates!
  • NEW NEW NEW- Monarch Hall Ranked Board unlocked! You can now go for a highscore on TWO different ranked leaderboards!
  • Upgrades unlocked! Have fun racking up levels and bedazzling your heroes with new equipment and items to get even higher on the leaderboard (But fair warning that a major rebalance is on the horizon)
  • Leaderboards and save game have been reset
Other things that we touched to try to make your day a bit better:
  • Jump right into Ranked boards! Use the Ranked tab or button on the main menu to jump right into these competitive boards
  • King's Monument Ranked Boss Bounty now 10x bigger starting at 1000 points.
  • Ranked board end now shows your Leaderboard rank without having to go to map
  • Improvements to the On Screen Controller for greater accessibility
  • Unlocked locations are more noticeable on the map now, go explore
  • Removed purchasable “Coin of Continuation”... you get 3 for now, use them wisely.
  • Party Roster Picker now also available at the start of the level, so you don’t have to go into the roster menu for last minute adjustments
  • A few more Goals for you to achieve in the demo.. Boop those sheep!
  • Language is English only for the time being- We are making some dialogue tweaks, so we have turned off other languages, until we have localization locked down!

Merry Yuletide and Happy Holidays!
The highly requested translations are now here, plus a few modifications for an easier gameplay experience. These translations have been a work in progress for a few months now since there’s over 120,000 words for the characters, so I’m beyond happy to have it finally ready!

Changelog:
  • New Language Localizations: German, French, and Spanish. These are machine-translations and may not be 100% accurate. Go into Settings, then press on the button next to ‘Language’ to change it.
  • Changed the inventory swap rows from ./, to Q/E. You can still just press on the arrow keys on the screen to do this as well once the backpack is fully-upgraded. It is listed when you open the inventory as a reminder.
  • Changed the magic scroll button to pressing Right-mouse or clicking on the arrows in the mini-bar. Reminder in the Tutorial.
  • Added a scroll through inventory slots 1-8 with the Middle-mouse wheel. Hotkeys #1-8, plus Left-mouse on the item remains the same for selecting an item. Reminder in the Tutorial.
  • Added ‘Upgrade 1 Required’ and ‘Upgrade 2 Required’ reminders for the inventory. As always, backpack upgrades can be found in the grocery store.
  • Added Right-mouse to exit mailbox letters. Escape, backspace, and clicking the ‘X’ on the screen still work as well.
  • Removed debug numbers from the squirrel when attacked.
  • Fixed art for backpack #2's cash sign.
  • Fixed art for left/right animations for shovel and pickaxe.
  • Removed Player-Face-Mouse in the Settings.
  • Updated Demo to 1.2.1

Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game - Vince
You can finally return to the Pit to continue the story and deal with new problems, while enjoying new system improvements, most notably:

- A death timer. Now when a party member goes down in combat, you have 3 turns to end the fight to save the fallen comrade. There are minor side effects that slowly add up, so don't take the dirt nap too often,

- Improved combat AI

- Extensive balance changes (feats, implants, attacks, weapons, gadgets, grenades, enemies)

- Improved looting mechanics

- New weapons, improved icons

- Improved visuals

While we're very happy with the overall state (grazes work all throughout the game, critical chance and damage depend more on your builds, evasion works as we envisioned, reactions work better, item progression and feats are improved, etc), the numbers will still need some work and we'll continue monitoring your feedback.

You should go and subscribe to it THIS INSTANT, as there's already something POSTAL-y and exciting out there for you, and that's only just the tip... of the iceberg of explosive music content that's headed there.

You did subscribe, didn't you? Well, you should. Because on December 13 the POSTAL: Brain Damaged OST is getting a MAJOR update. All the tracks have been remastered and a couple of all-new bangers joins the line-up (this will make the perfect 69-minute running time longer :sadface:). And all this will end up on the HYPERSTRANGE GAME MUSIC CHANNEL on the release day, available free for everyone to enjoy.

Subscribed? Those few of you who still didn't should know that OUR NEW YOUTUBE CHANNEL will also feature official OST uploads from other Hyperstrange games. Does this means that we're not releasing our stuff through streaming services? No sir! That's coming too. When? Hah. That's complicated. But it looks like December 2022 (yes! This current month!) is still on the table. We'll keep you posted... so...

This release brings the often requested sandbox mode into the game. The current plotted scenario is moved into a separate choice during the game start. There is no timeline, no clue gathering, no plot-related events and no NPCs in the sandbox mode, otherwise it plays the same. You can play the sandbox mode indefinitely, you cannot "win" the game. Two key changes were introduced to supplement this mode (they work with the scenario mode too):

The first change is that now if you kill off all the ambushers in the habitat, it will not be destroyed. The Group goes into the timeout until they can spend more resources to gather another team of operatives. Same thing will happen with the street ambush. Successful killing of the team is not easy, especially once the level of the team raises but you do have the reward for that now.

The second change is the addition of the Pseudocampus improvement into the game. It opens up the access to the organ which upon activation will plant the false memories into the host brain, and the parasite will then automatically leave the host. After that, it only has a short amount of time to slink off somewhere before the host is alerted. But if everything goes right, there will be no alert raised. In case of a common human this improvement is of limited use for a non-lethal gameplay style. But in case of a team member or a blackops operative the false memories will result in a significant raise of the team distance. Note that the blackops are especially juicy in that regard, doubling the base value. In short, this opens up the possibility of evading the antagonists indefinitely. You might have noticed that as usual I've neglected to describe how to gain access to that precious improvement... Well, I will continue the good tradition and won't say it :)

The game is now much closer to the full release since the first Steam release so I'm raising the price by 2 USD or its regional equivalent.

Changes:
  • Sandbox mode, current plot scenario can be accessed by choosing SCENARIO A at game start
  • Pseudocampus improvement for planting false memories
  • Brain probe on team agents/blackops will now also give Group knowledge (in addition to event NPCs)
  • Repelling the ambush will now result in team deactivation

Fixes:
  • Agents will not spawn in wilderness anymore (ambushes still can, actually probably not a bad place to handle one, now that I think about it, no witnesses...)
  • Fix for sound effects volume changes not working until game restart

* Generic structures such as the cannon tower and enemy bunkers now enable physics on their blocks for 5 seconds after each hit. This prevents blocks from hanging in the air.

* Fixed bug with the player cannon where players could double fire if pressing trigger quickly enough.

* Siege tower troops now bail cleanly and turn into regular ground pawns, waiting for a hole on the ground level.

* Siege tower troops now detect the player within proximity and give chase.

* NPC run speed boosted as they were too slow for the player

* Player defence base (MDB) no longer leaves behind a few blocks in the air after being destroyed.

* Level 5 has been beefed up with a few extra NPC units.

* Any ShieldTech blocks still stashed to the players belt slots are returned to the resource inventory upon finishing a siege.
