In short, the essence for those who dont like to read a lot: I decided to realese the project to Early Access in its current state, because now we especially need your support and feedback. The development of the game will be conducted in public, you will be able to download updates, rate and leave feedback on the case immediately.
The Early Access version will contain the main game mechanics at launch and is limited to one location "Raskolovo Village". Other systems will be added as development progresses. Well, upon completion of the integration of all systems, the project will move into the phase of preparation for the final release.
Well, now some details. After testing in 2020, we received a lot of feedback, suggestions and practical advice. For which, once again, a special thank you to everyone! Having studied the information received, we thought hard and realized that we were going the right way in general and made a strong-willed decision - many systems needed to be reworked, and in some places quite a lot. Because our audience is serious, know what they want. And these desires completely coincide with ours.
As a result, over the past two years, we have done a colossal job of thoroughly shaking up the entire project. And in fact, we have developed a full-fledged Framework, with a backlog for the future, to create such isometric action RPG games.
We reworked and optimized all existing systems that will be available at the start of Early Access and will improve along the way:
Camera
Character control
Character locomotion
Melee
Aiming and shooting
Covering
Dealing damage
AI of infected and humans
Inventory
Looting process
Visual and environment
Sound effects
The next stages of development of the Early Access version, according to the plan, will be the addition of:
Survival system
RPG system
Random event generator
Story and quests
The Story and quests are moved to the end of the queue, because I completely rewrote the entire script, made it deeper and more complicated. Added more characters, story and secondary quests. The massive system like this requires the efforts of my entire team, followed by thorough checks and tests.
I repeat, all of the above applies to the Early Access version limited to one location "The Raskolovo village". And the scenario in this version will be a small part of the overall story. The entire story and more locations will be available in the final release version of the game.
The SUB-I-II is one of four prototypes of what would eventually become the Type 73 APC in service with the JSDF from 1973. Coming to War Thunder as part of the next major update, Japanese tankers may look forward to the arrival of a specific version of this prototype, featuring a 20mm turret that didn’t make it into the production variant!
Briefly: A prototype version of the Japanese Type 73 APC, outfitted with an experimental 20 mm roof-mounted turret.
SUB-I-II, SPAAG, Japan, rank IV
Features:
Fast-firing 20mm cannon
Decent mobility
Light protection
Amphibious
In War Thunder, the SUB-I-II will be a new SPAAG arriving in rank IV of the Japanese ground forces tree as part of the next major update. Being the experimental version of the same chassis of the Type 75 MLRS already familiar to some seasoned tankers in War Thunder, the SUB-I-II exchanged its access to a rocket launcher for a much more practical fast-firing 20mm autocannon. Sounds interesting enough? Then keep on reading for more details!
As previously mentioned, the SUB-I-II represents a prototype of the Type 73 APC, which in turn serves as a basis for the Type 75 MLRS. Therefore, it should come as no surprise to tank commanders that both vehicles share nearly identical characteristics in regards to mobility and protection for example. As a result, the SUB-I-II is fairly mobile and can conquer even harsher terrain due to its low weight but as this comes at the expense of rather light protection, this means that the vehicle isn’t particularly well-suited for close-quarter brawls and head-on engagements with the enemy.
On the other hand, what makes the SUB-I-II stand out from its close relatives is its Rh 202 20mm autocannon, mounted on top of the vehicle. Being a weapon familiar to many tankers from high rank battles, the cannon can be used both against light ground targets as well as aircraft to almost the same devastating effect. However, even with dedicated armor-piercing ammunition loaded, aspiring commanders of the SUB-I-II must still bear in mind that this is only a 20mm cannon, meaning that it may not be effective against more heavily armored opponents without turning the engagement into a point blank shootout.
In short, the SUB-I-II will not only expand the roster of available Japanese ground vehicles at its rank in general, but it will also give seasoned tank commanders access to a highly versatile combat vehicle, capable of assisting its allies by scouting out enemy positions and engaging suitable targets from the flanks while also capturing strategic points along the way and defending them from potential air attack.
The SUB-I-II will soon make an appearance in tanker’s hangars as it arrives in War Thunder as part of the next major update. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to the news to catch all the latest developments surrounding the upcoming update. Until then, happy hunting tankers!
Gather your friends and gear up, for it’s time to embark on the voyage to the Mistlands! We have worked hard on this update for the past nine months now, and we’re so happy to finally be able to share it with all of you.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has participated in the Public Test period for this update, as your feedback has been very helpful. Given that Valheim is in Early Access some things are still subject to change, of course, but right now we feel assured that the Mistlands update is stable and ready for all of you.
An important thing to note is that the Mistlands biome will only generate in areas you have not yet discovered. Therefore, if you have explored a lot of your world, you might be better off starting a new one in order to actually be able to travel to the Mistlands. As per usual, mods will also most likely cause the game not to launch, as they are only compatible with the latest Live version of the game. If you have mods, you will either need to remove them or wait for the mod to be updated before you can play.
If you have managed to keep yourself from playing during the Public Test period we suspect you’re rather eager to dive into the game by now, so we won’t make this post particularly long. You’ll find the full patch notes behind the spoiler marker further down in this post, below the abbreviated version. You will also find the gameplay trailer, in case you want to take a peek at what the Mistlands will hold before you enter.
We do have one more treat for you though! You might remember the Viking trio from our Hearth & Home trailer last year, and you can now rest assured that their adventures aren’t over. See for yourself what their journey to the Mistlands looks like in this brand new animated trailer:

If your game doesn’t start, please make sure you don’t have any mods installed.
Starter packs have long given new pilots a boost to their early journey through the New Eden star cluster. With immediate effect, however, the established starter packs have been replaced with new editions, each having been revised to better serve the needs of today’s ambitious pilots.
Four packs are now available, from the introductory Bronze Starter Pack, through to the elite Platinum Starter Pack. Just as with the previous packs, each is filled with items that accelerate your early progress, giving you a chance to taste more of the full EVE experience, and letting you try on SKINs and other cosmetic items for size.
Pick up a Bronze or Silver Starter Pack, and you’ll get a spread of Omega time, Skill Points, Standard and Advanced 'Boost' Cerebral Accelerators, pilot apparel, and a selection of SKINs
Grab a Gold Starter Pack, and you get more of all those things, an upgrade to a Specialist 'Boost' Cerebral Accelerator, and 500 PLEX to spend or trade. Still want more? A Platinum Starter Pack provides the most ambitious pilots with even greater volumes of Omega and Skill Points, an Expert 'Boost' Cerebral Accelerator, 1500 PLEX, and access to Multiple Character Training certificates.
Whichever Starter Pack you choose, you can be sure it will supercharge your journey to mastery, while also providing a chance to explore different options as you build your pilot’s future (and if you are already an EVE veteran, the packs simply offer a great deal on a vast selection of piloting essentials).
