This is it – the final quest of 2022. It’s time for Succession!
This adventure closes out the Legacy of Zamorak storyline. Team up with Adrasteia and help her track down Bilrach before he completes his ritual and becomes unstoppable!
Conquer this quest and you'll get access to the mobility heaven that is the Dive ability – an alternative version of Bladed Dive that can be used by all combat styles in any situation where you can't currently use that classic move.
You’ll also earn a host of XP rewards and the final Infernal Puzzle Box upgrade!

The clipping and animation issues for Crux Eqal robes have been fixed.
Updated login and lobby to support the Jagex Launcher.
Moved a couple of gargoyles near the furnace in the ruins east of the Wilderness crater who had a tendency to disrupt smelting.
Kolodion, master of the Mage Arena, now has a spine capable of bending.
The Persistent Rage relic now generates adrenaline when outside of combat, as the infernal puzzle box prevents adrenaline drain when outside of combat.
When your adrenaline is full, an activated adrenaline urn now stores adrenaline generated by the Persistent Rage relic.
The Escape and Surge abilities now require 30 Agility instead of 30 Ranged and Magic respectively, so that movement abilities do not require combat skills.
Graphical Updates
Winter is coming and Mod Blkwitch has been up to snow good in the frozen north of the deep wilderness. She's also updated the Mage Arena inside and out.
Mahjarrat ritual markers have been graphically updated.
The soul altar and Magister's boss arena maps have had a lighting improvement pass.
Achievements
Added an I've Got a Little List (of Miniquests) meta achievement in the Lore category, which requires all miniquests in the Quest List.
Completionist cape and master quest cape now require this miniquest achievement, instead of each listing individual miniquest achievements. This is to ensure comp and MQC consistently require all quests and miniquests.
Consequently removed these miniquests from the trimmed completionist cape, since it requires the completionist cape which requires this miniquest meta achievement which requires these miniquests: Desert Slayer Dungeon, Sheep Shearer, Tales of Nomad, Tales of the God Wars, Witch's Potion.
As there's already a meta achievement for Fremennik Sagas (Bridge over Fremmy Waters), also moved it into the Lore category.
The Chef's Assistant quest is now listed alphabetically in the Quest Cape requirements. Also removed "A", "The" prefixes from various miniquest achievement names so that they're unambiguously alphabetised.
Renamed the miniquest achievement Benedict's World Tour, Part 2 to Benedict's World Tour (miniquest) to match all the other miniquests listed in I've Got a Little List (of Miniquests).
The Twilight of the Gods achievement now uses the Twilight of the Gods quest icon, rather than the City of Senntisten quest icon.
Quest Season
Created a Legacy of Zamorak season in the Quest Series sort.
Since they require Extinction, added Twilight of the Gods and the Aftermath miniquest to the end of the Elder God Wars quest series.
Quest List
We've removed the Difficulty field from the quest overview screen and quest sort. Quest lists sorted by difficulty on login should change to the Timeline sort.
Dev note : When developing quests, we place them in a difficulty bracket solely due to their skill requirements (eg our definition of a Grandmaster is that it has 80+ skill requirements). But difficulty is subjective; each player has a unique definition of what makes a quest Grandmaster, Intermediate, etc (length, combat difficulty, required quests, story relevance, position in a questline or season, rewards, etc). We've since added various methods to sort your quest list, including Timeline (which incorporates these difficulty brackets), Length, Combat Difficulty, etc, allowing you to make an informed decision of what matters most to you in deciding a quest's relative difficulty.

Fix for various AMD issues:
Volumetric lighting now works on AMD GPUs with MSAA, which was broken in driver version 22.7.1
Client no longer crashes on shutdown on AMD GPUs, which started to occur on driver version 22.7.1
Known AMD issues:
Anisotropic filtering still causes visual artefacts. Players can fix this by turning it off in graphics options and turning it on via the AMD driver software
Various refraction effects are broken when using uncompressed textures with the latest AMD drivers. Switching back to compressed textures will fix the issue
Known Issue:
‘Play’ button text is truncated partially on some Android and iOS devices, this will be resolved with Mondays content update. Monday’s update will also add player display name text to the Play button.

Hello Commanders, time runs so fast that I am not even aware it's been December. It was late night at weekend when I was writing this article, no one besides me, finally I can sit down by myself and write something quietly.
From November until now, we have had a lot of reliable and lovely new peers joined our team, and the technical team has doubled numbers now, which finally gives us hope in the struggling development progress.
First of all, I would like to apologize to all the players for the unpleasant experience caused by my personal negligence, but please trust me that we did not meant to do anything negative.
In the future, we will compensate players by providing more modification Stone benefits and resend modification stone bundles (BF Box III, BF Box VI) to those who purchased them during Black Friday Sale, and increase modification stone benefits for little paid players. Please have an eye on our future announcement, and we promise that we will take extreme care about such adjustment before future update.
Then let's talk about the development plan in the following version:
Increase more player benefits, more equipment design, improve game balance, increase hero diversity, and expand main storyline
1. Offer more free events and lots of benefits regularly
2. Continue to increase the profit of monthly card, super monthly card and lifetime card
3. Improving hero balance and farmation diversity
In the current version, we found out that most players currently have a fairly monotonous selection of heroes
The next step we will gradually increase the power of some S-tier heroes and enlarge their characteristics
At the same time, we will increase the speed and quantity of releasing exclusive equipment to enrich the exploration of game content
4. Optimize the time-cost of modifying equipment
Considering the current modification system operation is too tedious, we plan to introduce advanced modifiucation functions to improve the convenience of modification. The player will simply need to set the goals, and modication will run automatically, drastically reducing the amount of actions needed.
5. New story: Due to the expansion of manpower, we are planing to expand the main story. The player will experience the advance of the storyline in the future, and we are also working on the design of the main character's career system and career transition system
However, there is too many content needed to be accumulated, it will take some time to construct and finally launch for players to experience, please be patient with us
6. Improve the level design quality and add more and more interesting level elements
December - Plan before the Spring Festival
1. We will optimize the reset rule of Academy Gifts. For example, if all the rewards have been claimed after 10 days via reset, players can choose to manually reset and start a new round of Academy Gifts
2. Enhance some S-tier heroes' combat power. The first bunch of hero in the optimization plan list are: Crimson Scythe, Northland Princess, Mythic Instructor, Kingdom Huntress, Chief Raven
3. Introduce some new functions: advanced modification command, one-click to use fragments, equipment plan saving
4. Add Heirloom modification feature: Heirlooms will also have affixes and can be modified
5. Introducing Equipment Rune system: It will be a brand new loot system and will randomly drop in certain levels. Runes are divided into primary runes and secondary runes. Each primary rune has a different effect when activated. Players need to place secondary runes properly into slots to activate more primary rune effects
6. Continue to optimize guild benefits and gameplay content to increase guild cohesion
7. Launch new Hero Challenge gameplay (Keep it secret for now)
8. Prepare the hero talent system and the new Mainland Stage system (these will be after the Lunar New Year, for now is just a blueprint)

The development team is working to correct the following phenomena that are currently occurring 1: Some of the Steam version DX edition benefits are not included. 2: The keyboard and mouse do not respond in some environments in the Steam version. 3: Network errors sometimes occur in the matching process.
The first issue is scheduled to be distributed on December 6 (9:00 JST) and is being coordinated. The patches to fix 2 and 3 will be released on December 20 (JST).
In addition, we are still investigating the cause of the following phenomena. - Graphics card dependent glitches that render gameplay impossible.
We are aware of all the feedback we receive through social networking sites and the community. We are working hard to improve the playing environment, not only with patches, but also with overall game balance adjustments. We will make every effort to improve the game play environment.

Fixed The flying issue that has been affecting some people for awhile, when pressing T to fly it would drop you out of the air after about a second. It should work well now if anyone had this issue could verify that it's fixed on their end I would appreciate it!
For this week's challenge, the theme is solving puzzles "two under par", meaning with two fewer moves than the level number suggests.
The 3 codes of the puzzles are: 9667-09, 4997-10, and 2344-11.
To play these puzzles, you first have to unlock level 9 in the full game by solving puzzles on levels 1 to 8. Then you start a game with NEW GAME (in the main menu) and select CODE instead of a level to enter the first code. By solving that puzzle, you unlock level 10 and can enter the second code, and so on.
For everyone, who doesn't own the full game, here is a "two under par" puzzle on level 7: 5756-07.
Going forward, I'll probably change the weekly challenges into videos showing me playing icosi-do and thinking aloud. The challenge would then be to solve the puzzles faster or in fewer moves than I did. Also, if you get stuck with a puzzle, you could look at my solution for hints. Please let me know what you think of this kind of challenge.
