The weekends are here, and so is the newest Dominance playtest — starting Nov 26th and until 11:00 pm PST Nov 27th! Join the battlefields and try out the first ever Bullet-hell Royale — solo or with friends!

We continue to improve the game — based on your feedback and game stats. And this version of the game will be special, because you will be able to unlock cosmetics by earning mastery exp on characters! It’s going to be interesting even if you participated in previous tests!

Main changes in the latest version:
  • Cosmetic items — earn skins and other customisation items by earning experience on your favourite Seekers! During playtest 5x experience buff will be active!
  • Rebalanced stats for a big number of weapons and artefacts
  • Self-damage from ricochets was lessened by 50%
  • Death recap and killer’s stats window

How to Play
If you've participated in previous playtest, or at least got access and downloaded the game — just update Dominance and jump into the game!

If you're a new player — simply go to Dominance Steam page, click “Request Access”. After receiving confirmation press "Play the Game" to install the game’s client.

There are no restrictions on when or how long to play — simply launch the game any time you want and play as long as you want until November 20th at 11:00 pm PST! If there are not enough players in the match — the game will add bots for you to play against.

How to play with friends
1. Open your Friend list and click “+Invites”


2. Type in the nickname of the player you want to add. IMPORTANT: Upon 1st launch the game will ask you to come up with a nickname — you have to write this nickname to add a friend and NOT their Steam nickname.


3. After your friend accepts the invitation, you can find them in your Friend list. Simply click on their profile in the list and select “Invite to Party”


4. Voila! Just click “Play” and you’ll be on the same team when the match begins. You can have up to 3 people playing on one team.

Error 002 - Server is not responding
This error means that the game’s server is currently offline. While we do our best to make sure it works properly throughout the playtest — some hiccups can still occur. If you’re met with this error upon entering the game — just try starting it again a couple minutes later.

  • Bullets and projectiles from ricochets now deal only 50% damage to their owner
  • Stalker — skill changes.
    Fixed the problem causing Stalker’s scanning ability to freeze enemies in it’s radius
    Still grants defense bonus after using both of Stalker’s abilities
    Now slows down enemies upon use in a small radius around Stalker
    Broadened the radius in which Stalker becomes visible with his invisibility granted by 5th perk

Interface
  • Damaging mobs now displays damage numbers
  • Added a message 1 minute before deployment, which notifies about turning off shooting and ability usage
  • Number of teams left in the match changed to number of players left
  • Killer’s stat screen/Death recap
    Upon 1st death a “Info about the Killer” button will show up. After pressing it you can see the Killer’s stats panel, containing info about his level, upgrades, buffs, equipment and stats. You can also see amount of damage dealt to you by each weapon.
    Upon 2nd death this screen is opened automatically.
  • Now weapon reload progress shows above character’s head
  • Enhanced pings display
  • Added tips to artefact description, denoting if its effects stack or not

  • Visual upgrades for multiple areas of the map

We are working on an update that will be released soon. In it we will add important features:
  • Now the hook is your best friend. You will no longer be able to safely swim in the ocean and collect resources in the water. Hungry mutant fish will not miss the opportunity to eat you! Create spears to fight them.
  • At all difficulty levels, after death, the supply of food and water will decrease.
  • At a high difficulty level, after death, all items from the inventory will disappear.
  • Sleep - use the bed to sleep and skip the night.
  • It gets cold at night, you will have to warm yourself by the fire.
  • Getting wet in the rain and in the water. It intensifies the cold.
  • Comfort - campfire gatherings and furniture around you create additional comfort. He restores health.

I'm not dead yet!

Work continues on v1.1. I'll spare you the litany of excuses as to why every little thing is taking longer than promised. I'm sure you're as tired of hearing them as I am typing them.

In summary, life has continued to be unkind, and I've needed to prioritize my family and health over everything else. The good news is that the septic tank hasn't exploded again. So, you know, I've got that going for me!

In truth, the past couple weeks have been the best, most productive, and most tragedy-free I've had since last February. I'm a little nervous to admit it for fear of it going sour again, but I'm in a much better place than I've been in for a long time, and Village Monsters has benefited greatly from it.

What's New?
This post will not be a deep dive into what I've accomplished - I just wanted to get something out to assure you that I haven't forgotten or abandoned the game. Here are the quick notes:

  • All milestones for v1.1 have been finished
  • In total for this release, I've completed 100+ new feature tasks, 350+ improvement tasks, and 200+ bugfix tasks. The update notes are very long!
  • The past week has been focusing on new and existing tutorialization, both in written form and via Odd Jobs in-game
  • v1.1 is now in the hands of playtesters. Feedback and testing is expected to last a while

When is it Coming Out?
Clearly, I cannot be trusted to give an ETA anymore. Even whispering a date to myself in a darkened room feels like it'd be tempting fate to come along and teach me a lesson.

I'm bending all my efforts and energy into getting it out before the end of the year. I can say this: it'll release soon, and with almost no warning.

Season 15 of Rocket Bot Royale is underway!! We are cheering things up for the Holidays, with a BRAND NEW GAME MODE! Squad Death Match brings the excitement of squad gameplay, and adds respawning, and a kill target, a timer, and a loadout that refreshes when you die, to create a frantic, yet strategic mode, which is sure to separate the veterans from the noobs.

We will once again be awarding a CUSTOM TANK to the Season Winner, designed to their specifications by our tank designer, so jump on the leaderboard and battle your way to the top of the Trophy pile!

We are launching a major update to Grow Flow! Thank you for keeping up with us and for supporting our game.

NEW in version 0.9:
  • Added a new chapter to the game! Chapter 6 includes ten levels that will require a great mix of attention and precision.
  • Added new Extras menu! Collect Prism Coins to unlock the extras. Unfortunately, the very first unlockable extra is not available yet, but do check out the other two!

Fixes and Tweaks:
  • Fixed a bug where all the levels were unlocked from the get-go
  • Made several tweaks to Chapter 3 level 6 on many sections that would previously require walljumping to get through
  • Made a tweak to Chapter 1 Level 4 where you would likely die right after completing the level
  • Fixed a bug in Chapter 5 Level 2 where several Switch Cubes were active and grown by default
  • Fixed a bug where Anna's body color wasn't being animated properly in plenty of levels

Careless Caltrops - Enabled

Bug fixes

- One significant change in this hotfix is how nested events are handed during battle simulation. This may have knock on effects that I haven't been able to replicate when testing. Let me know if you see any strange behavior in fights, especially with regards to execution order or units not dieing when they should etc.

This in turn should resolve the bug with targeted strike not destroying a barrier and hitting the unit underneath (amongst other bugs, including what I think was causing caltrops to break).

- Fixed Large Stars. If you do somehow still see a large star, please F8 and let me know what happened!

- Fixed Osiricles giving his buff to units after they have moved out of the slot

- Fixed Razcal Text - Even number slots give +2 Health and Odd Number slots give +2 Attack

- Updated Fire Sale and Sacrifice text to warn the player they cannot be multiplied.

- Fixed a bug where a player could select an AD, reroll, then ready up without selecting an AD. This was causing the 7 player lobbies where you would fight yourself.

- Fixed a bug where rituals were not being removed upon death of a player causing them to be re-cast in ghost fights

SpellRogue Playtest - Tim

Hi everyone

We have a new update ready for you all, packed with new systems and balance changes!

We focused on improving the world map, but also made major changes to the Shard economy, reworked shops, sanctuaries and rewards, improved map-generation, and added several minor new features.

One important feature to notice: Sanctuaries now reveal 4 “Gift” options to pick from: a guaranteed healing option, a disassemble spell option and 2 random reward options. The disassemble option is particularly useful as it gives back any shards spent on a spell, which makes transitioning a build much easier.

Also, there are now more shards spread across the map, but also more to spend shards on. Each wizard now starts with room for 5 spells, but can unlock more room using shards. Maybe more importantly shards are now used for gaining additional dice. These changes should allow you to tailor your preferred upgrade path, by spending shards where you see fit.

This update contains a bunch of tweaks to the general balance as well. The game should in general be a lot less punishing than the previous version (no promises though, as balancing is an ongoing task).
