Auto-save
The game will be saved with every step on the map. No need to worry about progress loss anymore.

Food system
The game will not end when your food reaches 0! Instead, you will lose HP with every step without food. Giving the player more chances to fight back.

New dungeon: Unknow Territory

The classic characters from "TUN TOWN" and "Xuan-Yuan Sword" are here in Myrihyn.
Come and get the special skin after you defeat them!

Bug fix

Hello all,

Two major road map items are complete and included in our latest patch! We performed a complete overhaul of our character \ RPG system, and additionally made some significant game flow changes that are most evident in the post-game info page (this is actually a bonus roadmap item).

Essentially, these changes both cleanup some of the messiest areas of the game, and also pivot the game & the player toward a deeper sense of belonging in the Mugalo Galaxy. There were various elements in the game that were very intense and heavily focused on survival and permadeath. While we like how these elements raised the stakes & excitement, they also were detracting from a really calm & relaxing exploration experience.

These changes also pave the way for the future, allowing us to expand the game vertically using the new character skill system. These skills will allow us to establish a deeper progression into farming, fishing, and potentially harpooning.

Anyway, without elaborating the reasons for every single change, here are the highlights / specifics:

Game-Flow Changes
  • The player now starts with very few credits and a VFlare ship. New ships may be bought with acquired credits over time.
  • Scoring has been removed from the game. You will still get a post-game report (see below), but the constant pressure to maintain a score is gone.
  • Names of the difficulty levels have been changed.
  • The final game report is now based on clear inputs and a fewer number of inputs, these are summarized in a graphical color bar (see below).
  • This final rating is primarily based on progressed skills, surviving family members, reaching Lilith, and the initial difficulty level (time is no longer a factor). No rush to reach Lilith!
  • All of the post-game statistic graphs have been fixed!

Skill-Based Character System
  • Instead of the six old skills, each character now has only three skills (fishing, farming, and spacefaring).
  • These skills are dynamic, as discrete actions in gameplay will progress them.
  • Each skill has seven levels, and each new level will provide the player with new rewards such as new fish, farming perks, and spacefaring perks.
  • The blood volume and lung gas graphs have been removed.
  • The sleep and workout sliders have been removed.
  • Farming EXP can be acquired by researching farming technologies or growing crops.
  • Fishing EXP can be acquired by catching fish and attempting to catch fish.
  • Spacefaring EXP can be acquired by researching spacefaring technologies or by flying through the Mugalo Galaxy.

Roadmap Update

We made a few small changes to the road map. Things are becoming a clearer to us, and so we've adjusted accordingly. "Science & Experiments", for now, is unlikely to ever happen -- there really was no clear vision for that, haha. Therefore, you'll see it is marked "Cancelled". Also, the most recent road-map item, the "Post-Game Overhaul", is a sudden arrival. This was a major change to the game, and we felt it was important to the game's flow, so we added it to the road map and finished it at the same time.

1. Content Additions/Improvements
1) New outfits have been added to the Store.
🥼 Class Outfit: Nuclear (Violet Ghost)
- You can preview all the items sold in the Store from the inventory outfit menu.

2) The driving sound volume has been slightly reduced when directly driving vehicles (Car/Boat, etc.) and when within 50m.
- Driving sound volume when directly driving vehicles has been slightly reduced to reduce stress on ears.
- Driving sound volume within 50m has been reduced. The sound volume beyond 50m is the same as before.

3) The “Smart Ping” information sent by team members has been improved to be displayed in the language set by the player for smoother communication.

2. Game Balance Changes
1) Key Settings Restrictions
â—Ľ Restrictions have been put on Key Settings to prevent easy use of Single Fire weapons with fast RPM with certain keys.
◽ [Mouse Wheel Down] key has been modified so that it cannot be set on “Fire” in Key Settings.

2) Weapon Balance Changes
🔲 SP686
â—Ľ Changed to deal fatal damage at a shorter distance than before due to its damage at close range being stronger than intended.
â—Ľ Changed the distance of ultra-close range where One shot. One kill. can occur.
◽ Ultra-close range: 5m ⇒ 3m
â—Ľ Changed the close range distance where a kill can occur with Double Tap.
◽ Close range: 10m ⇒ 5m

3) Class Balance Changes
🔲 Shotgun Master
â—Ľ Skills that were powerful when used with certain shotguns have been adjusted, and the AR Defense effect has been reduced.
◼ Level.3 ability of “Tank Shotgun” has been changed.
◽ Tank Shotgun (Level.3): +1 Magazine Size for Shotguns ⇒ +3 Pellets
◼ Cooldown of “Knockback” has been increased.
◽ Knockback Cooldown: 2s ⇒ 5s
◼ Effect of “AR Defense” has been reduced.
◽ Reduced damage from ARs: 10/15/20% ⇒ 5/7/10%

🔲 Demolisher
◼ Performance of “Shoulder-launcher” and “Bomb Delivery” has been improved to use them more easily and efficiently.
◼ Changed the firing method of “Shoulder-launcher” to press and release, and improved firing trajectory to be displayed.

◽ Explosion radius: 12m ⇒ 15m

â—Ľ An issue has been fixed where loading of indoor objects were occasionally delayed.


4. Bug Fixes
- Fixed Parachutes so they can’t be used when using “Super Jump” in the golden eagle..
- Fixed an issue where Shotgun Master’s “Super Jump” was activated abnormally in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue where range information was displayed incorrectly in the tooltip for WA2000 and UMP9 weapons.
- Fixed an issue where the UI was not displayed in the main lobby due to a loading delay when accessing the game.
- Fixed an issue where entering the Store would occasionally display an error message and close the game.
- Fixed an issue where the game would abnormally crash.

New Rooms
A thing what i always struggled were the design of the rooms. I want to show you the reasons and some impressions of the new design here.

New Design
They had several problems, like when the ship is spinning, it causes motion sickness looking outside. Due to the "cut ceiling" feature i added latest, its now possible to create fully closed rooms.
Another point was the general design, to have a better pressure capsule, a cylinder design is way more effective. So in case of realism it should be changed to this kind of design.



New ResourceBox Design
To create this new tube design with the old logic was complicated, due to the resource-rail system below. Due to that i changed that completely, so the resources are now above robot, that will move the boxes over the floor, where also the persons are walking.



Room Configurator
The main thing was now, that the tile based old room configurator was outdated, and replaced by an easy to use room configurator. The player can drop the start of the building and can than extend the tube or attach others next to it to extend them. There is a maximum of 3 tiles per tube and 3 tubes per building, to prevent too large room. The system supports more room styles, so the old Greenhouse design or a design with a glass roof can be added easy.



New Storages
Due to the resources are not moving below, all the storages needed to be updated. The wall height was also reduced from 3m to 2.5m, so the large storage wasn't fitting anymore. To still support that, i restyled them. The new Buildings can have a bit less space, so i also added an outside storage. This feature is also needed later when i change the shuttlebay and supplyship landing to the new interior items.




Hallways
The old Walkway had many special cases and was not included in the interior drop system. But it would be great to be able to let the player to customize them too, so i also used the new Room Configurator for them. Till now, this is the only way to create multiple exits at the rooms. The other advantage is, that it now way easier to create the whole circle of the cylinder, by "just" dropping large hallways blueprint the user can create. The disadvantage is that the player need to plan the exits in front, so it cause more early planning.



Animation System
All of that change also affected the Animation System, that i completely refactored several times, to a now more easy code without the need of the old special cases, that caused a lot of complexity.
