[/url]]. Important: character deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.
You can also swap names between two characters. If you'd like to rename a character, create a new character (with the desired name) then swap the two names. We're planning to improve this over time
Graphics fidelity updates for PS VR2 and PC VR such as:
Updated Grass Systems
Updated Clouds to be more realistic
Added technology to further improve texture and model quality in the future
We added some tunable caps for stackable AP buffs -- we understand that this is a core part of the strategy so we tried to keep it pretty high, to reward high skillcap players, but not so high that everything in the game becomes trivial. We are testing this, and would love to get feedback from our player base about what feels like the right amount to stack.
Made legendary weapon modifiers for tank weapons more relevant to role (will only roll on newly created legendary weapons)
Legendary weapons can be synthesized to a new tier, while retaining the modifiers, enhancement levels, and infusion levels it had before
You can now start gliding while standing in an updraft without needing to jump
Sensitive Gliding is now the default gliding mode when a character is created
Quest beacons/locations no longer show or trigger for untracked quests
Updated wording on the tooltip for the EM Tank ultimate slot to clarify that it is activated by doing the reverse motion to EM DPS ultimate
Swapping godstones now resets the cooldown
Stores now have scrolling windows so you can more easily sell your goods and gear
Aether Spark was listed as "40% AP" damage, however a bug caused it to do 0% damage. In this patch we have fixed the bug and adjusted it to do 3% AP damage, so while the UI says the damage has been reduced (40% to 3%), the actual damage value has increased (0% to 3%).
Added ability to open chests by touching them with your hand
Added icon to HUD to show other players which role you are (DPS, Tank, Support)
Update the "instances" icon in the main menu and HUD
(Edit 11/18) Items can be dragged across inventory pages now

V1.1 Fixes - Sync Demon occurrences are now correctly added to your PVP Rank. - Packet sizes were too large in some games, resulting in them not arriving from the server. This would seemingly pause Matches at the end of a Round. - Player Statuses throughout the round are now properly formatted. - Summon Achievements were not being recorded. This has been fixed :)
Sync Demon Hunting - I have encountered significant Sync improvements during internal testing... - The Particles of Ability FX no longer determine how long they take to be fully deactivated and returned to their pools with a Coroutine. I had thought this was fine, but it could be yet another source of desync. - A floating point calculation was found in the AI code that averaged Team health, which could have resulted in primarily support classes picking different outcomes when the result was very close to the threshold. This sparked a search for more potential floating point math in the AI code, but no other instances were found directly. - Several changes were made to ensure the life cycle of all FX are addressed exactly the same, no longer relying on any Coroutines in their destruction code. - Additional changes were added to the Character Animator that may have helped Sync as well. - Despite the progress described in the above statements, I will remain ever vigilant in my hunt for the Sync Demon.
It’s been a while since the last update, so let’s jump right in.
Taking a Break and Quick Prototypes
During the summer, it became increasingly clear that we were both feeling pretty burned out creatively from working on the game full time for around 8 years now. We kept pushing on with it the best we could, but soon realized that we needed to step away for a little while to recharge.
Around this time, a few developer friends suggested that the outlandish world of Monsters & Monocles would be a perfect fit for a timed horde survival game. We really liked the idea, and decided to spend a couple of weeks making a quick prototype using many of the same assets. Pretty early on we could see that it had promise, so we decided to spend a little more time during the summer expanding the concept to see if we could turn it into an actual game.
Monsters ‘til Midnight
By the end of summer, the game had really started to come together, and also began to take on an identity of its own as a legitimate Monsters & Monocles spinoff. Since it shares so much of its DNA, but with its own thematic twist of trying to survive against the march of time itself as the clock strikes midnight, (literal indestructible marching clocks of death in this case), Monsters ‘til Midnight felt like a perfect fit.
Although the coming soon page for Monsters ‘til Midnight is now live on Steam, we still have some work left to do in order to wrap it up, so we have a Q1 2023 release date penciled in.
We still have every intention to return to Monsters & Monocles, and we’re hoping that some time away will help offer fresh perspective and a sense of renewed energy needed to get it across the finish line.
As always, I truly appreciate all of the kind words of encouragement, and the many large buckets of ongoing patience that you've all given us.
Thank you for reading, and please stay safe and take care.

AEDT (UTC +11): Wednesday, November 16, 2022 (End of Maintenance) - Wednesday, February 8, 2023 10:59 AM
Please avoid altering your computer time when participating in this event. Any changes to your computer time clock can cause issues when creating or deleting Burning characters for this event.
Create a brand-new character during the event period and select it to have the special "Burning" effect. This event is open to characters in all worlds, as well as Burning World, except for Zero characters.
After your character reaches Lv. 10, every time that character levels up it will gain an additional two levels all the way up to Lv. 250! You also have the option to designate one of your existing Lv. 200-248 characters as 'Hyper Burning' instead, allowing them to gain that benefit!
In addition to all this, you'll also earn amazing rewards along the way, including Root Abyss and Fafnir gear! When you reach Lv. 200 on your ‘Burning’ character, don’t stop there but keep on training! You will receive additional rewards on your ‘Hyper Burning’ character at Lv. 200, Lv. 210, and every 5 levels after Lv. 210, up to Lv. 250!
Event Details:
Reach level 250 fast on a new or existing character with the Hyper Burning event!
Requirements: Either:
A newly created character made during the event period (Zero characters cannot participate in this manner.)
A Lv. 200 - 248 character (Zero characters must be both within that range and have completed Story Quest Act 2)
After creating a new character, you will be given an option to give it a ‘Hyper Burning’ effect.
You cannot go back to give it a ‘Burning’ effect after refusing to do so during character creation.
You can only 'Hyper Burn' 1 character per account during the event.
Note: Our Beast Tamer Creation Event is coming up in our v.238 update! If you would like to give a 'Hyper Burning' effect on a new Beast Tamer character, we recommend waiting for our v.238 update.
After your ‘Hyper Burning’ character reaches Lv. 10, they will start to earn two additional levels each time your character gains a level up to Lv. 250.
You will receive special Hyper Burning Rewards when your ‘Burning’ character meets the listed level milestones.
Alternatively, you may elect to set one of your existing Lv. 200 - 248 characters as 'Hyper Burning', by selecting it on character select screen and clicking on 'Set as Hyper Burning'.
Doing so will prevent you from designating a newly-created character as 'Hyper Burning'.
You will still be able to create 'Mega Burning' characters on Burning World.
There’s more rewards waiting for you past Lv. 200! Once your ‘Burning’ character reaches Lv. 200 (or you designate an existing character as Burning), you can obtain Bonus Rewards up until Lv. 250.

Burning World Leap
Wednesday, February 8, 2023 (End of Maintenance) - Thursday, February 23, 2023 (Start of Maintenance)
As the saying goes, the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and the Burning World will burn very brightly indeed. However, while this new world will be consumed at the end of it all, a new life awaits your characters in the other worlds of MapleStory!
Lv. 150+ characters in Burning World will be allowed to leap to another world of your choosing during the World Leap period, taking their equipped items, inventory, and mesos with them to join their new communities. When this period begins, all Burning World characters will be moved to the Burning Leap Zone map, where they will be able to speak to the NPC Mover to complete their exodus.
Characters in Burning World must be at least Lv. 150 in order to World Leap, whether they were Mega Burning characters or not.
Zero characters must be both Lv. 150+ and having completed Story Quest Act 2.
It will not be possible to leave the Burning Leap Zone map during this period, making it impossible to gain any more EXP. Make sure you're Lv. 150 before the February 8 maintenance!
You do not need an empty character slot on the destination world for your new character (you will be granted a free Character Slot if you are at your unlocked limit on that world), however if you have reached the maximum character limit on that world, you will need to delete a character in order to make room for them.
Characters can be transferred to Aurora, Bera, Elysium, Luna, and Scania worlds only.
Characters in Guilds will not be able to World Leap until they have either left or disbanded their Guild.
Your character's equipped items, inventory, and mesos will be transferred with your character, but items within your Storage, Cash Shop Inventory, mail, and auction house will not be. Make sure you clear everything out before taking the big leap!
You may send your Burning World characters all to the same world, or to different worlds.
Medals obtained from regularly-resetting rankings will not be transferred, and your rankings in those pieces of content will also not be transferred.
Ignition Coin Shop and Flare Coin Shop item quantity limits will follow the limit of the world that the character leaps to.
Ignition Coins will be transferred with the World Leap, but Flare Coins will not be transferred so remember to use all your Flare Coins before the start of the World Leap period!
Remember to claim all the Ignition Flame Festival rewards through the Flame Festival UI before leaping if you participated in the event on Burning World.
Thank you for your patience with us while we waited for translations to be completed for this update. This is the first of what I assume to be many updates to Township.
This update focuses on UI & Balance. We want to get Township to a point where we are okay with the power it provides, as well as what it looks like before we begin exploring concerns around other mechanics.
If you had concerns around the general mechanics of Township, then this update won't resolve that unfortunately. We are already hard at work on Township Update #2 which focuses on the general mechanics. It might take a bit of time until release as we will be doing a lot of play testing to see how it all feels.
Now, let's get into the patch notes.
Preface
For those who use Mods, please be aware that some may break when an update like this is released. While we do our best to not have this happen, some times it cannot be avoided.
If you are having issues loading into the update, try with Mods disabled.
Township UI Overhaul
We have updated the Township UI as a start of our process to provide you with more clarity and information when navigating the Skill.
New UI Features:
Biome selection for Town & Build menus are now vertically aligned on the left, and are populated with Biome icons.
Town menu has 3 Tabs - Biomes, Town Information & Show All. These menus provide extra information regarding your Town.
Build menu now has a Town resource selector to easily locate specific buildings you may be looking for. Selecting a resource will highlight what Biomes it can be located in, as well as the buildings themselves for easy navigation.
Hovering over a building in the Build menu will display an icon next to Biomes where that building can also be constructed.
Hovering over a Building in the Town menu will highlight Biomes where it is constructed, as well as display how many are contained inside.
Town information panel displays basic information about your Town.
Dead Storage now has its own UI element a the top will all other resources and information.
The tooltip within Population now displays how much Skill XP you gain per tick.
New Township Features
Resource Capping
You can now cap resources to a specified percent value of your maximum storage. This can be done in the Manage Storage menu (Used to be called Yeet Resources).
When a resource reaches its cap, it will adjust the colour of the resource amount.
Setting a cap on a resource that is already above the existing cap will automatically Yeet the excess on the next Tick.
Change Worship
It is now possible to change your Worship without restarting your Town.
Changing your Worship will cause major distress and riots within your Town. Due to this:
All of your existing Worship buildings will be destroyed.
50% of your population will die.
Trader Changes
The Trader in its current state was beyond broken. The amount of GP that could be earned by Trading various resources was excessive, and it devalued GP entirely.
These changes are designed to allow the Trader to continue providing extra resources for the main game, while also being limited in how much they can actually provide.
Trader GP Value Limit
The Trader is no longer the richest person in the game, carrying billions of GP worth of items as they stop at your Town.
There is now a maximum GP Value Limit that can be traded during any visit. This limit is defined by the amount of Trading Posts you have constructed in your Town.
Each Trading Post will increase this limit by 500K per building, up to a maximum of 100M per visit.
Every time the Trader arrives in your Town, it will increase the GP Limit. There is no maximum threshold for the limit.
The GP Limit only affects trading resources from Township to your Bank. It does not affect trading items into your Town for resources.
New Item Trading Requirement
If you wish to Trade a resource out of Township, there is now an added requirement of locating 10,000 of the item first before you can trade for it.
The Trader is not meant to be a bypass for the main game by locating one of any item and then Trading it thereafter.
The UI of the Trader will display items that can and cannot be traded, as well as the remaining quantity required to begin trading it.
Tax Rate Changes
The existing implementation of Tax Rate provided GP to the Player without really needing to "earn" it (Other than increasing population).
These changes will bring Tax Rate in line with how they would actually be implemented into a Town, but also provides you with control over what the Tax Rate should be:
The Base Tax rate when starting a Town is now 0%
The Town Hall has been reworked:
Each Town Hall now provides +0.5% Tax Rate and -0.5% Happiness.
No longer provides Building Cost reduction.
Tax Rate is capped at 80%.
Adjusted Building Worker Counts
We have adjusted the amount of workers provided for upgraded buildings to help minimise the amount of available workers in the late stages of the Skill.
The 3rd and 4th upgrades of any building now has increased worker counts.
These buildings now have the same resource per worker generation amount as the 2nd upgrade.
The new Worker counts will allow you to assign Citizens to these buildings to return to the original resource generation values. When all Worker slots are filled, it works out to be a tiny buff in resource generation (Roughly 2-5%).
This will not affect early game Township as the resource generation and worker counts have remained the same.
Other Township Changes
Added x25 Build option.
Default Trader option is now "Take resources from Township".
Dead Storage now decays 1% every 1 hour of Ticks (Used to be 20% every 24 hours).
Citizens who die at the age of 100 will decay instantly.
Citizens who are over the age of 70 provide 2x more GP than under 70's.
Worship now has a 5% Checkpoint. We have moved some of the positive modifiers that are unlocked at the very beginning to this checkpoint.
Ragnar Worship - Removed +25% Tax Rate bonus from the "Always Active". The one at the 100% checkpoint still exists.
The Trader now trades raw Dragonhide instead of the final product for Clothing.
Increased the Town Hall build costs by 4x
Increased the Trading Post build cost to 7,500 Stone, 5,000 Bars, 5,000 Planks.
Buffed Libraries to provide +1% Education per building, up from 0.25%.
Capped "Decreased Township Food Usage" modifier to -80%.
Town & Build Biome selections are no longer independent. Selecting a Biome in one menu will update the other one as well.
New Additions
We have a new method of communicating Announcements to players in game. The changelog in game has a new look, and allows me to provide easy updates to everyone across all platforms.
There is also a development roadmap you can view at the top. Stay in the loop with what we're currently working on!
General Game Changes (Base Game)
Sailor's Top "Decreased Fishing Special Chance" is now -8%, changed from -3%.

The Mining Gloves now only works on Ore nodes as per its description.
Mastery Tokens now correctly drop from Farming.

Bug Fixes (Throne of the Herald)
Throne of the Herald: Trap Potions now have the correct modifiers and charges, instead of all 4 tiers having the Tier 4 modifiers. These are:
T1: +20% GP from Agility, +2% Agility Skill XP & Mastery XP - 5 charges
T2: +30% GP from Agility, +3% Agility Skill XP & Mastery XP - 10 charges
T3: +40% GP from Agility, +4% Agility Skill XP & Mastery XP - 15 charges
T4: +50% GP from Agility, +5% Agility Skill XP & Mastery XP - 20 charges
Fox + Dragon synergy now correctly applies its bonus to the total damage dealt by the burn, instead of applying it for each proc.
Fixed incorrect cost for final Allotment Farming Plot.

Lava Lake and Forsaken Tundra now correctly have the requirement of beating Ancient Sanctuary dungeon to access.
Goliath Werewolf now correctly applies Rage to itself, rather than the Player.
Lightning Robes now correctly affect Slicing Maelstrom Archaic Spell.
Siren Tablet can now use Raw Magma Fish as a recipe.
Feather Storm special attack on Arctair is now correctly 30%, instead of 100%.
Portable Rations now consume a charge in Thieving.
Mod Manager

Critting enemies while they are fully slowed will freeze them for 3 seconds!
Mind Control Fixed!
Mind control now can be applied to multiple enemies and works like all the other statuses!
Target spells was added to the targeting cycler!
Lots of target spell interactions were added so it can be used to reverse enemy projectiles! A target spells spell adds its effects, mods, and damage to the effected spell! Effected spells are deflected and will target enemies and friendlies!
Better spell impact effects
Infest, Gravity Blast, and Magnetic were given visual effects! Things that come from spells like Explosions, gas, lightning chains, infest areas, gravity pulses, impacts, and cast flashes are much more optimized and responsive!
Insane mode changes
Difficulty of early insane levels were changed to be easier!
Nekonomicon and Loadout Profiles
You can now save your current nekonomicon or loadout to a save slot to try other builds! Be sure to mind wipe any pre-update builds before you use the save system!
