A little over three weeks ago we invited all of you to join the special spooky festivities by taking part in our Happy Hauloween World of Trucks event. During this time, players were able to earn special rewards for completing a personal and community goal while hauling the unique Halloween Treats all over the in-game world.
As this was our first Halloween event, we were curious to know what the feedback will be, along with how much effort would the #BestCommunityEver be able to put into something fresh like this. Now, after everything is "said and done", we have to express our gratitude for the positive response that you’ve shown us. This view by most all of you was reflected in the amazing final stats that we would like to share with you. Great job everyone and thank you all for participating!
We truly hope you are enjoying the Swinging Bat dashboard toy and Pumpin Head hanging toy rewards. Even though Halloween itself is an extremely time-limited holiday, you can now drive across ETS2 and ATS with these accessories in your interior all year long!
Many of you also took to our social media channels to share with us photos and videos of your journeys and participation. We really enjoyed looking at them all and sharing some of them on our public profiles and our internal channels. It brings a lot of joy to our teams to see how much you enjoy these World of Trucks events.
Don’t worry, our plan is to keep bringing a Halloween event for the players in the upcoming years as well. -Fixed Bonus Chapter showing the Dream Maschine as broken. -Reduced Motion Blur amount when Alentura is chasing in her unstable form.
Sir Hennryk: -Nerfed Axe Throw from Sir Hennryk to cost 2 Stamina now and only deal 2 damage at base. It can still deal critical damage on headshots. (It was wayyyy to broken)
Ralf: -Reworked Bite Attack: It now costs 3 Alp to use. It steals 3 Max HP from the enemy, deals remaining alp as bonus damage and heals Ralf by the dealt amount. -Motivate: Is no longer a quick skill, no longer costs 2 Alp, always heals 2 Stamina and makes the target immune to being charmed. Gives Ralf 1 Alp. -Healwave: Is no longer a quick skill, but now additionally grants immunity to being frozen. Gives Ralf 1 Alp.
Jasmine Isecar: -Berserk only gives +1 Phy Attack instead of +2.
Erika -Gets a new skill: Spare Flask - Heals an ally by 4 if they are not potionsick. -Gets a new skill when upgraded: Green Soup - Inflicts the Almighty buff on the target, giving them +3 PhyAtk but it gets removed upon taking damage.
The KARDS 2022 World Championship Grand Finalists have been determined!
Let’s take a moment to go over the status of the World Championship to bring us to where we are currently.
Two separate Open in-game Qualifiers were held during weekends between September 10th and October 15th. Close to 2,000 players competed in the Open Qualifiers in over 21,000 total games in the hopes of making it to the top 128 player Knockout Stage. The top 300 players in each Open Qualifier earned the exclusive 2022 World Championship card back, and the top 128 players each received 250 diamonds to spend on anything they desired in the in-game store.
The Knockout Stage was played during the weekend of the 29th and 30th of October. There, the top 2 players in each of 16 groups progressed to a 32 player double elimination round played the following weekend. On November 6th, the top 6 players battled it out live on stream for their spot in the Grand Finals. You can catch up with all the action of the top 6 in the VODs:
Our Grand Finalists will soon battle it out for their share of the $10,000 prize pool, with each already guaranteed at least $1,000.

KARDS 2022 World Championship Grand Finalists
Bamboo
Bamboo is a veteran of the game with extensive KARDS experience. He has frequently reached high positions on the seasonal ladder and competed in numerous OCC Qualifiers and KARDS Opens tournaments. His first appearance on the main stage of KARDS eSports was during the top 6 Grand Finals Qualifier stream for the 2022 World Championship. This rising star is in peak form and is ready to give his fellow competitors a run for their money.
Berto Burrito
With numerous successful runs in KARDS Opens and OCCs, including two OCC wins, Berto Burrito is a regular in the KARDS eSports scene. It’s no secret that Berto was brought to the game by his good friend and reigning KARDS World Champion, Jking7. Now, this Canadian hopes to take the title away from his fellow countryman and claim it for himself. Berto was able to beat Jking7 during their matches in the top 6 - only time will tell how he will fare if he faces Jking again in the Grand Finals.
Head
Compared to his opponents, Head is a relative newcomer to KARDS, but one that has shown extreme dedication to the game and risen to the top at lightning speed. Head has participated in numerous KARDS Opens and OCCs where he has had some impressive performances. Although he has yet to win a tournament, Head is coming in hot and is well prepared for what’s ahead.
Jking7
As the KARDS 2021 World Champion, Jking7 returns to the 2022 World Championship with a title to defend. Consistently securing top spots on the seasonal ladder, with several KARDS Open and OCC wins and a plethora of other high placements during KARDS tournaments, Jking7 is a titan in the KARDS eSports scene. Jking7 is also a KARDS streamer Jking0739, allowing those interested to get a glimpse into the mind of the reigning World Champion. The question that remains is: can Jking7 win the title of KARDS World Champion for the second year in a row?

The KARDS 2022 World Championship finals will be brought to you LIVE on the KARDS Twitch channel on the 3rd and 4th of December, starting at 13:00 GMT each day. Our casters and analysts will be on location to bring you an EPIC Grand Finals show!

Finally, Steam Deck support comes to Horizon's Gate! And with it, vast improvements to controller use! (To use the new controller layout, make sure to reset your keybinds to Default!)
Additionally, saving and loading has been much improved - it's faster, takes up less space, and supports cloud saving! However, this came at a price: Horizon's Gate now requires .NET 4.5. This shouldn't lock any players out according to Steam's hardware and software stats - but just in case it does, version 1.5.88 will remain available on a separate branch called "v1588".
On top of that, there have been some big balance changes. Casters with delayed spells will greatly enjoy the time bonus reduction on the enemy's first round - landing spells will become more consistent rather than depending so much on the enemy's opening action. A handful of abilities and passives have been improved as well.
FEATURES
Horizon's Gate can now run on Steam Deck!
Horizon's Gate now requires .NET 4.5 (which will be automatically installed by Steam).
New saves will be stored as .zip files, taking up far less space and improving save/load times!
Cloud saving is now supported! ONLY new saves using the .zip format are uploaded to the cloud.
BALANCE
Enemy bonus Time to Act from not moving/acting is now halved during the first round of non-naval combat
Mechanist's 'Toss Medkit' range increased from 3 -> 4
Mechanist Traps and Turrets can no longer be broken by anything but explosions, earth, or physical attacks
Balancer's 'Ice Carapace' damage now scales slightly (1:0.25) with the recipient's Magic Attack and Ice Skill
Balancer's 'Ice Carapace' description updated to mention that it grants +1 Physical Defense
Balancer's 'Warmth' no longer reduces wind damage taken by 10%
Guardian's 'Blockade' now affects all adjacent targets instead of just one
Gladiator's 'Reckless' now grants +1 Physical Attack and -1 Physical Defense at all times and an additional +4 Physical Attack for 1 turn on combat start
Ignis Knight's 'Firewall' now also includes burning characters
Reduced Firebomb range by 1, and reduced amount of fire left behind on the ground
Salvage Station machine can no longer be broken by ice
Rare grove prizes are now limited to top tier equipment or Ability Tablets (no gems)
Spidests rebalanced: -1 Move, +20 HP, Jump Attack range reduced by -1 and can hit allies, Whirling Attack inflicts Itchy
Netchal 'RUIN' mode passive changed from Bulwark -> Imbue Momentum
Jarf 'RUIN' mode Time to Act bonus reduced from -3 -> -2
Entrailer 'RUIN' mode Time to Act bonus increased from 0 -> -2
FIXES
Gossip no longer mentions the current month's trade special if it is past day 20 of the month
Fixed Aegis being consumed by any effect if the target has a debuff from a meal
Added delay between targets for Balancer's 'Force' to make multi-tile pushing more reliable
Party Inventory tab now properly greys out during combat when it is inaccessible
Pressing Stash/Cargo button now only alternates between tabs and does not dismiss the window
Added small animation to weapon selector UI when using a weapon
When you freeze a puddle it now disappears after a day
Fixed AI using Warmth to overwrite an ally's Ice Carapace and vice versa
Summoned objects like Puddles and Smoke Balm are now lowest priority when selecting items

CONTROLLER
Completely overhauled default Controller bindings - make sure to reset to Default to use these!

Improved prompts for "Weapon Select" to reflect that (A) confirms an attack and (X) selects the other weapon

In the coming weeks, in the run-up to the official release, we will be sharing more interesting information with you here on Steam, and take a closer look into the creation of Togges.

We are two brothers living in the countryside of Brazil, and Togges is our big dream game that’s coming true on December 7th. As indie devs, we are an army of two, so we kind of do everything that needs to be done, with no pre-established roles. It's like this:

It's crazy, but you never get bored, that's for sure.

HatMania was finally released! It has been long journey for the both of us, but we've finally managed to reach a state where we are proud of the game we've made.
When we started out we had no experience with game development. So there's been a lot of learning, redoing stuff, problems with the graphics, and redoing stuff again ;) We hope you all enjoy it as much as we do. It's a hard game, so don't get too frustrated if you're having trouble. Instead savor the moment when you finally beat that annoying level :D
