The game has been updated with a new content update introducing not just one but TWO new vehicles for players to unlock. But thats not all! Steering and drifting have had a major overhaul which improves responsiveness and playability for all vehicles, especially at higher speeds and on bumpier tracks. See end of post for patch notes.

New vehicle: Patrol 80
Racing just get a wee bit safer: the Patrol 80* is on the case!
The vehicle is not available by default and must be unlocked.
To unlock it you must either:
  • Win gold in the Crankshaft Cup in the Three Star grand prix difficulty or higher.
  • Finish in any position in any 90 races (Time Trial, Custom Tournament or Grand Prix).

New vehicle: Formula-99
Racing just get a whole lot faster! The Formula-99* has left the pit!
The vehicle is not available by default and must be unlocked.
To unlock it you must either:
  • Finish at least one Time Trial race on each track in the game.
  • Finish in any position in any 120 races (Time Trial, Custom Tournament or Grand Prix).

Patch notes 2022-11-11

General gameplay
  • Steering is now much more responsive for all vehicles. This is especially noticable on bumpy terrain and at higher speeds.
  • Drifting mechanics reworked. Try it out and see if this update made you a new drift star! Remember to use the brakes at higher speeds!
  • Vehicle and avatar stats reworked and improved and should now better reflect the actual behaviour of the vehicles.
  • Computer opponents became a little bit too trigger happy after the last update and their aggressiveness has been toned down slightly at higher difficulties.
  • Slightly increased vehicle top speeds in One Star and Two Star tier races.
  • The bonus nitro boost from timing your throttle after being hit by an item has been increased.
Menus, UI and options
  • The Options menu is now available when pausing the game in any game mode.
  • The Options->Gameplay submenu has been renamed Custom Tour and can now also be accessed while selecting vehicle/avatar and track prior to starting a Custom Tournament by pressing "M" when using a keyboard or "West Button" on a gamepad (X on XBOX controllers, Square on DualShock/DualSense, Y on Switch Pro Controller, etc).
  • Added option to choose number of laps per track in Custom Tournament.
Vehicles
  • Collision models and hitboxes for all vehicles have been adjusted for smoother gameplay and less terrain/obstacle snag.
Tracks
  • Boost City: Removed an imbalanced boost arrow. Adjusted barrier placement.
  • All tracks: Boost arrow boost values adjusted. Various minor doodad placement and collision/hitbox adjustments.
Items
  • Rockets: Acceleration and travel speed increased slightly.
  • Propelling Propeller: Propelling mechanics reworked for a much much much improved experience.
Major bug fixes
  • Resolved an issue where cutscenes could not be skipped when using a gamepad.
  • Resolved an issue where in-game camera toggling could not be accessed when using a gamepad.
Miscellaneous
  • Cutscenes can now always be cancelled with the Escape key regardless if using a gamepad or a keyboard.
  • Bonus content: All traffic cones in the game have been restored to normal 🎃
    Stay tuned for more seasonal events to come!
  • Pickup Truck secondary unlock criteria now requires 30 completed races, down from 40.
  • Mr. Threads secondary unlock criteria now requires 210 completed races, down from 280. The primary unlock criteria is still 1500 missile hits in Custom Tournament/Grand Prix (missiles fired by CPU opponents also count).
  • Lots of minor bugfixes, adjustments, improvements, etc all over the place.
Known issues
  • Connecting more than four Xinput compatible gamepads or controllers may result in undesired effects. Until this is resolved the game is only reliably playable with 1 keyboard + 4 gamepads/controllers for a total of 5 human players. I deeply apologize for this and hope to have it resolved in a future update so that you can all enjoy Super Gosu Cars with up to 8 players as is intended. Any input or feedback on this issue is greatly appreciated to help speed up the process.
  • DualSense controllers have issues steering using the D-pad. If you encounter these issues you might solve them by creating a custom controller setup in the Steam client.

Keep in mind that the game is still in development and bugs and other oddities may be present.

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator - Botten Hanna
Hello everyone! We're super happy to see that there are already over 13k maps in the workshop! Of course, the patch didn't come without a couple of issues, in true TABS fashion, so here is the first patch to fix some of the issues!

Patch Notes;
  • Fixed the "hold to clear all units" behavior on the right mouse button so it works as expected
  • Fixed Steam friend invites not working
  • Fixed faction names being permanently displayed as "..."
  • Fixed a problem with the Dark Peasant's hands so they work as expected

Please remember to restart steam and verify the integrity of the game files!

Kynseed - Sludgebridge


Hello Seedlings!

Soon you will be Seedlings no more, but beautiful, growing trees.

Our street date for V1.0 is December 6th 2022!

That is the time we open the castle portcullis, after many years of crafting, scribbling and redecorating and send our creation out into the eager arms of our loving community.

Guided by your feedback we will be continuing to tweak, balance and polish V1.0 while mixing meaty new content for your gaming pie.

The tavern update will follow early in 2023 with beer crafting, entertainment hiring and mopping up the mess from happy gnomes and fairies. The months after will bring two large story updates with more characters, events and intrigue.

We also found a mysterious cloaked figure lost in our castle dungeon (it’s a deathtrap down there!).

When he revealed who he was, we discovered it was gaming legend, Sir Ian Livingstone!

Sir Ian is best known as one of the founders of Games Workshop (Warhammer), co-creator of the Fighting Fantasy series of adventure gamebooks, Eidos (Tomb Raider) and a General Partner at Hiro Capital. Sir Ian is an investor, advisor and business mentor at PixelCount, and has lent his decades of expertise in gameplay mechanics to the development of Kynseed.

Here is what he had to say…

“When I first discovered Kynseed, I immediately wanted to find out more about the team behind it,” said Sir Ian Livingstone. “I reached out to Neal and Charlie in 2020 and learned that they were former members of the Fable team at Lionhead. To my mind, Kynseed was a game with incredible potential, and I wanted to help them bring their vision to the world. There is so much to do when playing Kynseed, from exploring, questing, foraging, farming, and crafting to thrilling combat with strange creatures. The combat alone deserves to be a game in itself! I hope people will enjoy Neal and Charlie’s beautifully-crafted game because what they have developed is something rather special.”

Sir Ian now sits like a warlock in our highest tower as chairman of PixelCount. His invaluable experience, guidance and skills have proven to be a great boon for the game.

Tower of Spirit - Hookaria Games
Small patch for a not so big new character: Moss is joining the adventure! The Master of Bubble is available in Tower of Spirit as a new playable character.

Passive: Infusion
Capacities are reinforced when an Infusion charge is available. You can gain a charge by using Bubbler Capacity. The charge vanish after use.

Paradise - 5 MP
3 x 100% DMG to all foes.
Infused version: 3 x 250% DMG to all foes.

**Bubbler - 3 MP**
Start channeling. Restore 10% of Max HP and MP and gain 1 Infusion charge next turn.

**Peace - 4 MP**
Apply Broken to all foes. When broken, enemy's attack is reduced by 25% for the entire battle.
Infused version: 150% DMG to all foes and apply Broken to them. When broken, foe's attack is reduced by 25% for the entire battle.

The first update was only 5 pages long. This November update has about 20 pages. This update completes about one third of overall content.

Again, this is a light novel. I'd say it is a very light novel because CG pictures replace most of descriptions. There are no fancy vocabularies and grammatical sentences. Most of times, the story will take you directly to its point instead of going around and around with walls of text.

Thank you for playing the demo of The Tower -To the Bottom-.
Based on feedback we received from the community, we have made several changes to improve the play experience.

  • Improved visibility of the card that is currently selected in the player’s hand.
    This change is aimed at making controller players more easily able to discern which card they currently have selected, so we have made given the effected more pronounced colors and animation to help make this stand out better.
  • Improved the feel of using cards in quick succession during battle.
    Previously, using a card would result in no cards being selected. After this update, the card to the immediate right will now automatically be selected, and is aimed towards making the play experience smoother.
  • Children being held captive in The Tower will now show animations when taking damage.
    Previously, only the damage taken and a health bar would be shown, which would result in cases where players would accidentally depleting their health without realizing. In order to better illustrate that the captive children are taking damage, we have added a knockback animation and red flashing effects. This is aimed to make these rescue battles easier to read, as well as to improve the overall play experience.
  • Changed the timing that The Hanged Man card’s tutorial is shown.
    There were some cases where players would complete battles before being shown the tutorial explanation for this card. This will now occur earlier on in the demo in order to make it ensure new players are better able to understand this card’s unique mechanics.
  • Changes to the number of cards that appear in the demo.
    In order to better fit the content available in the demo, we have removed the Poisoned Bread card from the card pool. This card will remain in the full game, so please look forward to find all of it’s uses in the various trials within The Tower, along with the rest of the disruption cards.
  • Added a way to view the controls in game.
    In order to improve the new player experience, we have added a screen displaying the controls early on during start-up process. During play, this can also be viewed at any time via the options menu in the top right. Also, there confirm/cancel buttons were set differently between the Japanese and English versions of the game, but this was confusing for some players, so we have decided to make the controls for both versions identical.

Patch notes:
  • Fixed a rendering error that occurs in the pause menu on fullscreen/non native resolutions.
  • The controls selection in the options menu now scroll to the end if up is pressed on the first option.
  • You can now quit both the controls menu and assist menu in the options menu by pressing the ESC key.
  • Added benches to the top route of the Temple of Loathing.

NOTE: If any of you tackled a crash that occurs after fighting clerestory that seems to happen at a random interval after the battle, please let me know! I am looking into it and would love more information about it.
