Hello all, We just deployed a new important update. Here is what it includes.
*Hotfix v1.09.2* - Fixed a critical bug of the campaign, related to submarines, which caused infinite (NAN) Victory Points calculations and permanently damaged them. Please note that old saves which had this problem cannot be cured, so you will have to restart the campaign. - Fixed other campaign bugs which could freeze the campaign. - Fixed an old formation problem which was caused when the player multi-detached a lot of ships into separate divisions. In that case the ship orders were corrupted and the ships stalled, creating many problems in formations with many ships. - Fixed a rare problem which could cause AI to try to move with a speed higher than the max. - Fixed old campaign problem causing issues of using DD Designs between 850 and 1100 tons. - Quick addressing of campaign AI being unable to split its very large fleets, as they could not return to ports and form smaller fleets. A full improvement will come in the next major update. - Balanced aspects of the shell types so that heavier shells are not overpowered. The cost of heavier shells is significantly increasing the gun costs, simulating the increased barrel wear and more complex mechanism to support a bigger shell and a larger charge. - Shell dispersion adjustments. - Battle AI adjustments.
Ahoy Deep Sea Divers! Short update on work being done on the game currently.
Quality Of Life Update
I've noticed some people misunderstanding the tutorial and the Hoard game mode. These improvements will hopefully address this and make the experience for new players smoother.
Reworked hoard game mode UI & adding explicit colouring of nucleon growths. This will hopefully make it clearer what the objective is and who is winning.
Tutorial clarity pass making it clear what buttons to press to proceed. No more getting stuck in tutorials!
Game mode flavour text added to beginning of rounds - reinforcing the game modes objective.
You can expect this update to be live within the week.
Survival Game Mode
A frequently requested feature has been a single player & cooperative survival game mode. Whilst this was out of the scope of the initial release it's something I really wanted to try out. I'll have more details to share in the coming weeks.
Demo Availability
The demo has been live since February - I really appreciate everyone who has tried it out. Keeping it up to date with the retail version takes time. Right now I need to focus on improving the base game so I'll be taking the demo offline. I hope to bring it back in the future!
Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) 40th Anniversary Edition - Ink
Tomorrow we will be releasing the free 40th Anniversary Edition update to Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is the biggest update to MSFS since its initial release in 2020, and it has been a huge labor of love and source of pride for the development team. To our millions of loyal fans and sim pilots, from those who have been with us since the start with MSFS 1.0 way back in 1982, to those who embarked on their first simulated flight with the latest version in 2020, thank you for being part of this journey with us. The sky is calling!
The 40th Anniversary Edition update will be released at 8am PST (1600Z) on Friday. See this chart for the release time in various different global cities. The size of the update will be about 22 GiB (for Premium Deluxe) and users will require 40 GiB of free space. Release notes will be made available at launch time, as will an update to our Known Issues list.
As a friendly reminder, those players who are taking part in the optional SU11 beta test will be migrated to the new release build approximately one hour after it goes live.
We've added a ton of New Events (50+) and revamped the Event UI to provide a cleaner and more robust experience for the player. This includes a new Dice Rolling System with roll bonuses based on character stats.
We've added Fortunes which are special types of items your character can obtain to give them special permanent bonuses and/or abilities.
Here are a few examples of what Fortunes can do:
Might of the Ymir allows you to dual wield 2-handed weapons but at a cost.
Unholy Sacrifice allows you to detonate your summons, dealing massive damage to those nearby.
Mirror Shard allows you to summon a clone your character to assist you in battle
There are many more you'll have to find as you venture forth in the Stolen Realm. We're excited to see how you guys put these new Fortunes to use!
We hope you enjoy this update! Thanks for playing!

So, um... It's not quite finished yet, but I'm pretty much done the demo for the sequel? Mostly. Been ironing out a couple of kinks...
...Thing is, I'm not entirely sure about distributing it? Like, a friend of mine has his game demo up here on Steam, and that's going great for him. However, I think I might have to pay a fee again to do the same here, but uh... Well, to be frank, I don't feel comfortable with that, after how much money I've lost making this revamp...
What are your thoughts, guys? I'm genuinely not sure what to do about all of this... :/
