First of all, we want to thank everyone who is following Propagation: Paradise Hotel’s development. Day after day, you are more and more numerous to add this experience to your wishlist and it makes us even prouder of our work. As an indie studio, this proximity with you means a lot!

As we said in our last steam hub post, the game is now at an advanced state of development and now, we feel more comfortable to share content about our work, as shown in this article about the item gathering mechanic.

Gathering and managing resources

All along your adventure in the Paradise Hotel, you will have to use the gathered resources wisely. There are three different resources: Ammunition, Antiseptic and Batteries. Let's have a look at how you will have to use them.

Piece of advice: never run out of ammo

As we already showed you in a previous blog post about the gun mechanic, ammunition will have a key role in your adventure. Read more about gun mechanic here:

In Propagation:Paradise Hotel, you'll have to gather ammunition by finding it in different places (lockers, drawers...).

Your flashlight is your best friend.

A you can imagine, you'll probably find yourself in dark environments while exploring the Paradise Hotel. In such situations, make sure you always have batteries for your flashlight to keep progressing through the game.




Using your flashlight will quickly drain its battery and you will have to insert a new one if you don't want to stay in the darkness. Wisely managing the use of your flashlight is great advice to move forward in the Paradise Hotel. Since we work on VR experiences, the power of a light beam in dark environments will undoubtedly create a more nerve-wracking atmosphere!

Don't go out without your spray!

During your stay in the Paradise Hotel, some encounters may be painful. You'll need enough antiseptic to heal you from bleeding. Using antiseptic vials to reload your healing spray will guarantee that you reach the next step of the adventure.



To conclude, you will find all these resources in limited number! It will be very important for you to manage these resources. Running out of ammo or battery for your lamp will certainly create very stressful situations where each one of your decisions will be important!

We’d be remiss to not highlight our Beta Test recap blog and again acknowledging our ✨ eternal gratitude ✨ to all the dedicated Crewmates (and Impostors) who helped us test the game over the past few months.
