pixiv Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo, Representative Director: Shingo Kunieda, hereafter referred to as pixiv) will be hosting "CLCT for ROMANCE", their third 3D creation support project, starting on Thursday, October 27th, 2022.
3D models of fashion items designed for use in the metaverse will be added for free to the character creation software "VRoid Studio".
In addition, a topic page will be opened on the creator's market BOOTH to introduce fashion items for 3D avatars sold by creators.
The lineup includes a girly red and blue ruffle dress paired with shoes, a beautiful pink blouse and skirt outfit set, and unisex white and red pants. We've added seven hairstyles that can freely be used as a modeling base and 16 fashion items. These items can be altered to match the VRoid Studio parameters of your own avatar, and you can freely add patterns using the paint tool.

At the same time, BOOTH will host the "3D Fashion ROMANCE Topic presented by CLCT", highlighting 3D avatar fashion that fits the theme of dressing up. Please take this chance to enjoy the world of 3D creation with different creators' designs you can use in various metaverse services.
About CLCT
"CLCT (Collect)" is a project launched in response to the growing global demand for metaverse and 3D avatar models and to support creators around the world who are looking to venture into 3D modeling through various services provided by pixiv Inc.
This year marks the 4th year since the release of the character creation software VRoid Studio. We have released over 100 free fashion items in total as of the July 2022 collection. 3D models created using these items can be used as avatars in the metaverse, in games, in app development, and for a variety of other purposes, including both individual and corporate, commercial and non-commercial use.

In the interest of making the game more accessible while retaining the overall vision and aesthetic I have implemented a few systems and changes that will dramatically affect how the game is experienced:
Inventory UX redesigned, now separated into "items", "unconsumables", and "maps"
Maps exist throughout the world to visualize the interconnectedness of areas
Maps only fill in on areas previously visited by the player (areas visited before the update will not be in there yet, as that info was not being recorded in save files up until this point)
Maps additionally act as flavor and worldbuilding props
All interactable objects, characters, and items now display an icon overhead when the player is nearby
^^ this reduces the desire to drag face over every wall, window, door, man, and surface
Unconsumables can be used as UI cosmetics, displaying over health and dialogue player HUD.
Music plays more frequently and there are a few previously unused tracks now implemented into the game
Music for certain zones will change after certain events
These changes have been exhaustively discussed and debated to ensure that they do not trivialize gameplay but instead improve quality of life. In fact, I think they bring a little bit more life to the game. A lot of effort has been put into redesigning how the save-system works to ensure that save files are not damaged by this update. Grass-filled room performance has been improved by 20-40% through dynamically drawing grass to a grid of plots only visible to the user's screen
True pixel-perfect resolution scaling to any monitor size, scaling to the min dimension between screen width and height. (very happy about this)
Dream world-interconnectedness changes to ease navigation
