    • Fixed missing skill upgrade descriptions in flyout menu

    • Fixed an issue causing a permanent black screen while attempting to abort mission from the pause menu. This occurred on sub-levels of campaign planets
  • Lockjaw Mining Floor
    • When engaging the damaged Warden the door now locks behind the player as intended
  • Genesis II Station
    • Solved a bug causing a strange shadow to appear on the floor of the Archives
  • Titus
    • Corrected a potentially game-breaking issue where the drill at Site Five near the southwest corner of the map required zero batteries to restart but still removed one from the player’s inventory; this could ultimately prevent the player from ever reaching the boss
  • Oterion Lost City
    • Updated collision by the elevator at the end of the level
    • Fixed floating art near the stairs leading from the swamp into the ruined city
  • Oterion Ruined Sanctum
    • Optimized lighting in the Antechamber which should slightly boost framerate in the early part of the level
    • Hopefully completely solved the unintended enemy overleveling issue:
      • Some enemies in the Combat Path have been allowed to overlevel slightly, especially at higher difficulties and for high level players
      • The miniboss encounter has only had its leveling math error corrected as it needs to remain a major threat, but underleveled players should now have a much better chance here on easy and normal difficulty settings
      • Join the Discord to discuss these and other balance adjustments
    • Added collision by the elevator at the beginning of the level to prevent the player falling out of the level bounds
    • Improved the return elevator rides and transfers for the Inner Court trial paths
    • Slightly updated level art by the final return elevator on the Combat Path to better guide players
    • Adjusted the starting position for a waterfall at the end of the Combat Path
    • Expanded the fungal infection in the Combat Path large switch room
    • Fixed minor Halloween art errors throughout the level
  • Oterion Guardian Sanctum
    • Updated collision in two areas on the edge of the level where players could fall out of the level bounds
    • Fixed a collision bug where players could walk in the air over a broken floor at the edge of the level
    • Updated art in both the boss arena and the lower chamber

We are a small indie team, as you can see in our behind-the-scenes video, and we’ve been working on Hell is Others since 2018.

It’s crazy to think this 4-year journey will reach such a big milestone tomorrow.

Yes, we said milestone because the journey doesn’t end tomorrow. That journey continues after that and, like always, we would like to share our vision for the future with our community.

We plan to update the game with new content, features, and many other awesome things during the next months and beyond.

Hotfix 26139

This hotfix resolves an issue where the game would incorrectly launch in English only and not your selected language while playing on Windows. You should now be able to play the game in the available languages, which you can see in the dropdown below.

1. What languages does it support?
The Steam Beta Test supports English spoken language and supports subtitles and UI in English, French, German, Japanese, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), and Korean. As there may be language-related errors during this Beta Test period, we look forward to receiving your feedback. Please feel free to give us feedback on the translation so that we can improve the translation with higher quality in diverse ways before the launch.

2. When will I know if I’ve been chosen as a tester?
Steam will send you an e-mail regarding the result of the tester recruitment close to when the testing will begin.

3. Can we play the game on console devices?
Unfortunately, the upcoming Steam Beta Test cannot be played on PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam Deck. A lot of Descendants wanted it to be available on console devices too as much as we did. We focused on improving the quality and volume of the test build for better experience, therefore the beta test will not be available on console devices. We’d like to ask for your understanding. However, we are planning to launch the official service on all platforms in line with our trailer (Steam, XBO, XSX, PS4, and PS5), so please look forward to the official game launch.

4. What happens to the game data from the Steam Beta Test period?
Any game data gathered during the Beta Test will be initialized.

5. How do I report bugs?

Wizard And Minion Idle - Oninou
  • New: Syn v2 Comos and Darkness Singularity Shop. Spend your excess darkness and comos in two new shops that feature exclusive buffs and end game content.
  • New: Spooky Event replace Summer Event and last till mid December (it also have 2 event pack in the shop).
  • Fix: Gathering Resources and other game resources should no longer cause issues above e308. Please report any to the discord.
  • Fix: Fixed a rare issue where Warrior arena timer would not decrease.
  • Fix: Fixed various bugs related to Conjouring and Mana Cap.
  • Change: Terra Scrapper Mount DumpBump Bonus slightly increased. (This change was to compensate for the removal of Dump Bump stocking, this should smooth out progression into Syn V2.
  • Change: Arena skill exp calculation has been adjusted slightly to compensate for higher arena skill values. (No effect for skills < 1000).
  • Change: Syn v2 Trophy Bonus, Arena trophy bonuses, and Cheaper Shadows have had their caps increased from 25 to 50. This should help make end game trophies feel more obtainable and give players future goals.
  • Change: Black Hole Cost Reduction trophies now also affect Singularity, and allow singularities cost reduction effect to apply to Black Hole.
  • Change: Arena LightSpeed 'speed' increased by 2x to compensate for longer arena pit timers now.
